No the tag work alone doesn't but his 1997 run was really good. His 1995 and 1996 matches were also pretty damn good even though there were some big missteps and in-ring bullshit.

Mark Henry vs. Rusev - I liked the headbutts early on but pretty light for such two hard hitting dudes. Smart strategy to ram Henry’s back into the stairs to take control. Weak super kick but Rusev but Henry’s facial expression was awesome. Man, too bad. This should have been more but they worked too light and Henry lost.

Miz vs. Ziggler - What really stands out here is how snug Cesaro and Sheamus work and how loose Ziggler and Miz work. Immediately after I wrote that, this thing picked up and everything started connecting nicely. I want to see the replay on that superkick on Miz. That looked nasty. Miz winning doesn’t feel right. They should have changed the Cesaro belt and kept Dolph with the IC belt.

Jumbo Tsuruta
he will be somewhere in my Top 5 for all the reasons soup mentioned. So fucking good and only a disease could slow him down.

The Rockers were awesome. His heel 1997 run was pretty awesome. Everything else I can take or leave. He might make my Top 100.

Sheamus vs. Cesaro - Cesaro has really been hitting the tanning bed. Nice feeling out section early on leading to the slap and Sheamus just abusing Cesaro after. The uppercut transition was pretty great leading to the Cesaro control. Sheamus showboating cost him! The crowd really doesn’t like Sheamus here. Sheamus is digging in them backbreakers. Great counter to the clubbing by Cesaro. Fucking great stretch run with Cesaro making up counters out of thin air. Man, that Brogue Kick killed it for me but that was a helluva match.

Goldust & stardust vs. Usos - Continues the tag titles getting time on PPV and delivering. I think the crowd is still hesitant to boo the Rhodes brothers so it isn't as heated but they can still go. Not as great as the Wyatt Family tags but I am glad this was given time to develop and I am interested to see where a Rhodes tag reign goes.

Ric Flair
Right. Because I didn't think those same criticisms applied to the early matches. They applied to the late ones. He's not a heel in very many 80s matches. When I watch them, we'll see how they hold up. Dude, the big comparison I have of Flair vs. Lawler is in the 00s, not the 80s or 90s. Lawler has some bad matches in the 00s. So does Flair. However, I have watched a ton of classic Lawler performances up until the guy was 60. That is a feather in his cap. I like the HBK Mania match. I guess that can be Flair's feather.

Terry Funk
I love Terry funk. I don't have him in my Top Ten after factoring in luchadors and Japanese dudes I like more.

Jerry Blackwell
Lower half of the ballot but the AWA DVDVR set absolutely helped his cause.

In these arguments, you haven't brought up the 77, 83 and 85 matches, only his heel run and post 90 stuff. I know you started on the 80s but didn't finish it. It is still an incomplete look and your criticisms were primarily about his 1990 heel run.

Loss, I have criticized because you haven't actually seen his peak and make conclusions based ONLY on his post-peak.
