Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose - There was no way this was going to meet my expectations and it didn’t. I liked moments but not the entire match as a whole. Early on, I liked Ambrose punishing Rollins but they changed tides too quickly. The crowd brawling stuff was fun but I love the lumberjacks cutting off Rollins from leaving. The big car wreck spot was well played but a little too choreographed. The ending wasn’t what I was expecting but I am glad Rollins won with the briefcase.

Jack Swagger vs. Rusev - Comparable to the match last month but I really like Rusev selling the leg and Swagger showing heart by not tapping. I didn't think this would be capture the flag rules which is why I picked Rusev but I enjoyed this match.

Tried watching the first 2 matches on my phone but it kept freezing. Never happened before. AJ Lee vs. Paige - Shit, I enjoyed this one even though it was brief. Pulling out the hair, the railing drop, nasty headbutts… Evil Paige offense is much better than smiley happy Paige. The push from AJ to Paige looked weak but the Doomsday Device from the top was solid. I thought the Black Widow was the end but I was wrong. Nasty ending to a fun match. No Diva sliding scale here. 0 for 3 on predictions so far.

If this a Grab the Flag match then there is no way they don't have Swagger waving the American flag. He doesn't pin Rusev and they have the rubber match at NOC with Rusev winning clean. I still think Rusev SHOULD win so I picked Rusev.

Kickoff Match: Cesaro vs. RVD Jack Swagger vs. Rusev (Flag Match) AJ Lee vs. Paige Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt (Double Pin, No Winner) Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins (Lumberjack Match) Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton Brie Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar So, looking at this on paper, with no tag matches, this could be a good PPV depending on the main event and lumberjack match or a complete wreck. The Bella-Steph and Cena-Lesnar have been the smartest booked feuds but that doesn't always lead to a payoff. Everything else means nothing to me.

It's WCW... they have almost NEVER been aware of what is cool or current or hip.

Loved the Street interview except for Alice's interruptions and her horrible sense of time (Was this during Thatcher's time? No it was in the fucking 1950s you idiot) and her cringiest of cringy moments in podcast history dropping a British accent that went over like a fart in church.

Man, the KAW shows I watched in 1999 sucked....so ... bad. There are a couple of gems like Tracy Smothers challenge Motley Cruz to an old school wrestling match and JC Ice cutting racist promos on Danny B but this promotion was so horrid.

I don't have that much faith in his opinions.

I don't judge matches on a wrestler's breath. Also, the biggest problem I have with W2BTD's argument is the idea that modernity is progress or evolution. Sometimes it is regression or devolution.

Badd was solid from the start in 1994. I am actually going to go backwards and look at his 1993 stuff. I agree with Chad that he was green as grass in 1991.

Anything less would be a huge letdown. Expecting fantasy booking ideas to come to fruition is never fun though. You might end up not liking a great match just because it didn't end like you'd fantasy booked it. I know. Still... they like to do big angles at Summerslam. None would be bigger.
