Regal lumped Mero in with Van Hammer and Buff Bagwell in guys he didn't care for in WCW as wrestlers on the latest Austin podcast. He said those guys were more interested in tans and protein drinks than wrestling. Having said that, Mero's body of work is speaking for itself.

For me, it really depends if the PPVs continue to produce quality matches. If they go the way Dylan predicts which is to make them less important, for somebody like me who has every show on the network already on disc, it isn't worth it. The new content has to deliver for me to continue my subscription. More shows like the NXT special would placate me enough to continue.

The biggest concern for WWE is turning these rabid crowds into apathetic crowds.

The biggest problem for WWE the last few years is their inability to give the fans any satisfying payoff when it comes to elevating the next big talent. They did it with Punk, Ziggler, Mark Henry, Ryback. Bryan was booked like a complete chump until the Wyatt feud forced them to rewrite the entire story they were going for. I hope this is a case of Bryan getting his moment but I don't have faith that the company will actually deliver.

I would look forward to it until about the time HHH takes over and I have to see him control a match.

The idea that everyone gives those two that reaction is transparently wrong Ever since Rumble, the crowd reactions in general have been hostile to the product and direction that WWE is going. Christian and Sheamus were collateral damage.
