Dylan Reviews Full Shows In This Thread
The problem is that Scott Summers is pretty bush league. Hero ripped into him after a match they had in 2008. Hero was telling him after the match to stop talking to the fucking fans, start taking wrestling seriously and he might become more than a weekend warrior someday. After the show, my wife and I talked to him about his singlet/onesie... deep shit.

Yeah.... even if a match is garbage it can be entertaining where you were happy you watched it. Other garbage is so bad, you are embarrassed to be a wrestling fan.

Even though I disagree with you on every fundamental thing I value in wrestling, I'll try to work it in.

Whenever I have been to ACW shows, the best matches were with national guys being brought in. The rest was garbage. I have been to every show Hero was on since 2007. His matches were always the best on the show. ACH and Arik Cannon had a match that gets props because they wrestled on a wet mat and didn't botch one move. Mike Dell and Rory Fox had a great team and then a great bloody match that I can't find anywhere. Everything else has been garbage... some good, some bad but garbage. Still, if a card has a national guy on it, I would go.

OK, it was Tim who pulled the switch, not Chad. We had 7 people on the air. It was hard for me to keep track.

The 1980s Wrestling Party returns Tuesday night at 9est / 8cst as we dive into Disc 3. Looks like Crusher Blackwell is all over this bad boy and Jumbo Tsuruta begins to make his mark. Don't look now but MOTHER FUCKIN' STEVE O tries to redeem himself from a boring as fuck Disc 2 performance. We also get what might be Da Crusher's swan song in a ring. Let me know if you are interested in joining me for another Wrestling Party! Nick Bockwinkel vs. Rick Martel (12/8/83) Crusher Blackwell vs. Da Crusher (No DQ) (2/26/84) Crusher Blackwell & Ken Patera vs. Blackjack Mulligan & Jerry Lawler (3/4/84) Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Billy Robinson (3/11/84) Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Jim Brunzell (3/15/84) Da Crusher & Greg Gagne vs. Crusher Blackwell & Sheik Adnan Kaissey (Cage Match) (3/25/84) Crusher Blackwell & Ken Patera vs. Steve O & Buck Zumhofe (2/3 Falls) (4/15/84)

80s Wrestling Party #2
No fucking shit!!! However, I don't want the Wrestling Party to be a verbal fistfight but I do want people to speak their minds. If you are the only person on air who hates/loves a match then at worst, if you disagree and lay out your reasons, it can make for some compelling listens. Hopefully, when we get through future discs, more disagreements will pop up.

80s Wrestling Party #2
Jerry, the difference is several of the matches I have seen in both settings. I went back and looked at my comments and they were consistent. I thought Adonis-Hogan was lame early on and though the same watching in the party. The matches I liked then, I liked now. I was trying to troll Chad on one of the matches he didn't like (forget which one) but then he changed his mind and it was over. It wasn't like one person was marking out over Steve O and the group shouted him down. Everyone thought that the face control segment was pretty lame and non-descript. Also, at random times during the matches, I try to get guys to speak up and give their thoughts. If they disagree with the "consensus" but don't want a confrontation, well WTF? The whole purpose is to engage in conversation. I can't help it if everyone agrees with me on air.

That sounds bout right. With that said, I liked it when we were making the set too.

Listen to the show. I think we explained why we liked it.

80s Wrestling Party #2
Ther eis nothing you could say that would convince me that the Steve O nd Rheingans matches are better than the Hogan-Saito match and Rheingans match. Also, if you don't like violence for the sake of violence, I dont know how you would get through Purrto Rico when that set is done.

Tully Blanchard
Tully did such a great jb as a heel that I hated him as an adult until I did the 3 disc Tully sampler. Then I realized he was just an evil genius.
