You're out of the loop man... out of the loop. He has been resurrected.

Good Will Wrestling #6
Strummer, the point is that when you rewatch it, there was tons of great wrestling. I agree with you about the booking. I am talking strictly about in-ring. Also, to be fair to Gabe, Naylor had already started wrapping the show up when I made the point about 1999 so it is easy to see why he didn't really give it that much attention.

shoe did not say that. He said Destroyer was working "Lawler like spots".

Resident Evil's Thoughts on Wrestling AND Life
What did you think of Mankind as a gimmick and Mick Foley as a wrestler? As someone who likes manly physiques, Foley doesn't look like the kind of guy you could get behind.

Hell in a Cell thoughts
OK, that was um... anticlimatic

Another serious question... when did you stop watching McMahonland wrestling? Was it when Benoit killed his family or when Vince screwed Bret?

Hell in a Cell thoughts
I didn't know who they were. Then again, I watched one episode of all three seasons of Nexus... BD going nuts on Michael Cole.

Hell in a Cell thoughts
Oh shit, that was a pretty good set-up.

Hell in a Cell thoughts
Man, this Cena match is wierd where the crowd is interested, really not interested, interested, really not interested.

Hell in a Cell thoughts
It was Miz Man, really not feeling the Edge-Swagger match-up. Swag hooks in an ankle lock, screams like Angle with a mouth full of blood... and the crowd did not give a shit. Didn't care one bit. Then Edge escapes, runs the ropesm not selling the ankle and of course, the crowd does not care.

Hell in a Cell thoughts
Yeah... comparing this match with Austin-Hart from Survivor Series 96 now
-
Hell in a Cell thoughts
Yeah, well since this segment fizzled out I was thinking I need less Jack Swagger vs. Edge.
-
Hell in a Cell thoughts
I need more of this Alberto Del Rio guy.

How would you compare Bryan Daniel to other current WWE superstars? Compare him to 5 other guys you feel are important to the WWE Brand.

Hell in a Cell thoughts
OH SHIT, you stole my post!!!! The Orton-Sheamus match was good but could have been awesome with some blood. Also, I am watching 1996 Buried Alive right now and this was a low point in WWF fan interest and that show is so much louder than this show. Seriously, the Mankind-Taker match is getting some genuine volume and Orton-Sheamus was so quiet.

Hell in a Cell thoughts
Huh? Anyway, I enjoyed it. With the poor build-up, that was as good as we could have asked for.

Serious question... don't you think that the fact that Tazz was 5'2 really hurt the believability of him being a bad ass?

You can't do stream of consciousness threads at DVDVR so might as well do one here. When I am working on compilations or gathering footage, these threads help pass the time and I don't think we are busy enough where it is going to ruin the board if we start doing them. Anyway... The Miz vs. Daniel Bryan vs. John Morrison - Another Miz-BD match I enjoyed. They took a convoluted stipulation three way and turned it into one hell of an opener. The spots to eliminate the third guy while two guys would match up were inventive enough (turantula leading to BD dropkick as an example) that I didn't mind the structure and the end was cool with BD picking up the clean win. I am loving these BD PPV matches.

I created the fucking thread!!! I am trying to give the guy an outlet and you guys are cluttering it up.

Do you have a question?

Dude, you are ER, not RE. Either ask him questions or wait for his next dissertation on wrestling.

Good Will Wrestling #6
At the time, I thought Tanaka and Awesome were better. I enjoyed Jerry Lynn more. Obviously, I would have loved to see an extended Tajiri run with the belt. Having said that, I can see what Gabe was saying about having the belt on someone you can trust and putting it on Awesome, we saw how that turned out. I was going to mention it but let it slide since I was trying to be positive... A promoter has to put the belt on someone they trust but the promoter has a responsibility to actually pay the talent without having checks bounce.
