I didn't say they weren't important, I just don't consider them dynasties. I use that word in the strictest sense of the term. You have a looser definition with a wierd time constraint. And the guy who gave that quote was Greg Popovich. Anyway, back to the topic.

Keith, I only go by actual footage I have seen. Heenan could have been awesome in the AWA in the 1970s but unless KHawk unearths some footage, I am not sold. This isn't someone who dislikes Heenan. I love Heenan but Jimmy Hart sold me on nearly every angle he was in while in Memphis. For that 4-5 year period, I have never seen another manager come close for so long week in and week out.

If you haven't seen his Memphis stuff, you haven't seen Jimmy Hart.

I wouldn't put it past Kevin Von Erich to do something like that but I would also be interested to hear who the other sources were. I also wouldn't put it past a promoter to lie and say talent will appear (when they never planned on appearing) and then make up a story about the talent holding them up.
