Ok, since the Benoit topic degenerated into a Vince McMahon debate, I felt it was time to branch off and try figure out just how much of a genius Vince McMahon is. THere is no doubt he is the most successful wrestling promoter of all time. However, Vince McMahon has had so many gifts handed to him on a silver platter only for him to shit them away. So, lets dive into the genius and idiocy of Vince McMahon and see which is more prevalent.

I don't think that argument holds weight since he stumbled into the most successful period in wrestling history after the fact. I think it happened during the peak of his power and surrounds the XFL.

So does the XWF, mounting deaths in wrestling, killing the Invasion potential, failure to listen to the fans in the arenas, giving creative over to his unproven and ultimate failure of a daughter, holding back on pushes for guys who have potential, pushing green rookies too fast and giving the green light to some of the worst skits ever seen in the industry make him a genius also?

It really depends on how he was booked. He def. has the charisma to get over on his own but saddle him with a gimmick and make him read from cards and he would be no more over than Chris Masters.

Dude, this ties into everything else that has been talked about here.... The Fed's schedule, the toll on the body, Eddie's death, the abandonment of SD!. IF Benoit is indeed leaving (let's consider the source) then the Fed ahs no one but themselves to blame.

I have only seen pics of Borne or seen him wrestle from WM 1 on. I don't recall his face being as thin as it is.

Fuck, people, go watch some old RNR Express matches and see how small Ricky Morton was against some of his opposition and tell me that every fan in the audience didn't believe that Ricky Morton could win.
