Blood Sport: ECW's Most Violent Matches
And with that said, it will probably be the next biggest selling WWE DVD of all time.

Christian's not the only Canadian talking to TNA
The only problem is that they sold off the Hart Estate and the Dungeon no longer exists But this is wrestling so any basement could be the Dungeon, I guess.

Christian signs with TNA
Meltzer confirms that Christian signed the TNA contract on 11/3.

Lucha Documentary on PBS
Ok, maybe I am wrong, it might just be a cooking documentary where the guy cooks Mexican food.
-
Lucha Documentary on PBS
Seems like it is more focused on the life around Mexico City but it shows off a bunch of lucha merchandise and the shills from street side vendors.

2005 MOTY Nominations
Disc 1 is completed and Disc 2 is underway.

2005 MOTY Nominations
OK, I have already started on Vol. 1 I was going to wait until I had all the matches and do them in chronological order. Unfortunately, I do not know when I will receive the missing matches. I have some spare time on my converter right now so I will just have the matches chronological on each disc. Each disc will run about 4 hours and I do not know how many discs it will end up being.

SD spoilers for 11/11
The one thing that makes me hold out hope for a Mysterio reign is Wrestlemania XX. Regardless of how it turned out (badly), for that one night, Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit were raising the belts. I never thought that would happen and it did. Mysterio isn't completely out of the realm of the possibility.

More Christian goodness
jdw claims that he ahs the right to nothing until it is registered so this may be much ado about nothing. Still, Chrisian was smart just attempting to get the rights to the name. I have a gut feeling if the Dudleys would have done this that they would still be the Dudleys in TNA.

More Christian goodness
I created a new topic because the last one discussed more of a role Christian would play in TNA whereas this one focuses completely on his name and how it will affect him and how the WWE is going to react. Stolen from tOA.... And he also owns...

2005 MOTY Nominations
OK, right now, I only need 6 of the matches on the the list ... The Lucha match, Tim should be sending sometime. The Japan matches, I should be receiving from Dan anyday now. The TNA matches, I need to find better copies. Has anyone seen any matches that are glaring omissions and will seriously challenge any of the matches on this list?

US 80s nominations
I'd be hesitant to nominate that one JHawk because there are so many matches that are far superior to it that I don't even know if it would hit the Top 100. Plus, on that card, it was only the 3rd best match of the show.

Ultimate Finale Live
I found it funny that when the cameras were focusing on Leonardo DiCaprio, he kept trying to light up his cigarette but his buddy pointed out to him that he was on camera.

My 665 favorite matches
For the MX-RNRs, Dan is going to send me the Superstars on the Superstation 1986 special (which has an MX-RNRs matchup) and it will be interesting to see how the 2 stack up against each other, esp. since I just heard the Mulkeys claim that these NWA guys could wrestle the same guys every night and never have 2 matches alike.

Fascinating ...
Ok, just to clarify, there are a few people, like HHH and Ric Flair who do not have things scripted out for them... or rather they do not have to follow the script. Someone should ask Meltzer about this.

Can a WO reader confirm this?
Ok, I'll type out the entire story later unless someone beats me to the punch but YES, Steph thinks OVW is being boooked horribly and wants Heyman fired. Actually, it isn't so much that she wants him fired but does not want his contract renewed when it expires at the end of December.

Can a WO reader confirm this?
I'll let you know later on tonight. I have to re-read the damn thing.

NEW GHC Champion.....
Taue is a much better choice than Rikio. The fact is Rikio was not over... no matter what. They had to keep dropping dream matches on cards to cover the fact that he could not draw as champ. Also, look at Taue's neck. My God he must have been torn up in that match.

Long, great Dave Meltzer interview
Guys, he said it right there. No one in the world understands the sacrifices he makes. Therefore, you guys cannot understand.
-
Interesting possibilities...
This hasn't really been mentioned but I don't know how Benoit or Jericho would fare in a 6-sided ring. For the new guys, I can see why they would be able to adjust but for guys who have 10-15 years experience, it may serve as more of a hindrance.

Fascinating ...
In last week's Observer, Meltz was talking about a Rock interview and Rock said he didn't know if he would be successful as a rookie coming into today's WWE because only a few top guys don't have to follow the script and he wouldn't have had the chance to let his charisma and catch phrases catch fire.

No Buyrate info on Bound for Glory What Meltz says about Christian... ---(Verbatim) From a name standpoint, he was Christian Cage on the independents before coming to WWE, so with prior usage, at worst he could call himself Christian Cage, and most likely, keep the Christian name. Meltz bases this off past precedence with the Honky Tonk Man who was able to continue using the name because he came into the relationship with the name and character. --- He was obviously unhappy, with his lsot and lack of mobility, even though he was getting himself over. He had been losing momentum without a good program and constant TV losses. Wrestlers are told to get themselves over but when they do, it doesn't matter. It just reinforces that the company decides and slots everyone ahead of time. --- Christian is good friends with Scott D'Amore. Those close to him belive he is going to start with TNA immediately but at press time, he has not been signed. There is believed to be no non-compete clause. --- It is believed that the lack of push was only one reason he didn't re-sign. He is said to be up for a significant part in an upcoming movie and wanted free time to study acting and prepare for the role. He also lives in Florida and is about 90 minutes away from Orlando where TNA tapings take place. Even though his contract already expired, he agreed to continue working through Taboo Tuesday since his name was a potential participant in the SD vs. Raw match.
