If you look at my criteria list on why I have Lawler #1, not one of those involves out of the ring stuff. Selling, Bumping, Punching, Carrying Wrestlers and feuds that produced great matches. The feuds produced great matches. All in-ring stuff. The TV and the promos and the angles. That's the whipped cream and cherry on top. There is also a huge difference between your love of 90s WWF and my love of Memphis. Besides Apter mags, I don't recall ever knowing about Memphis wrestling. There is no nostalgia or reminiscing to be had. No memories from my youth to make me pop. That is reserved for UWF and Crockett and even mid 80s WWF. My love of Memphis has come form the past ten years collecting and watching footage from a distance. It's not foolish and it can be done. If you think Lawler is all character development and promos, I am not going to convince you otherwise. I have devoted enough time on podcasts and in projects trying to get people to see the Lawler love. Some get it. Others don't. I am perfectly fine with it.

I actually think it is almost plausible. I don't like messing with the title shot. Hell, even having Cena eliminating Taker would be enough to kickstart the feud.

Owens lost weight for his NXT debut but has gained a lot of it back since then. His belly jiggles a bit much for the vibe he's going for. On the reaction show, I was called out for weight shaming.

It's amazing what happens when you let the babyface get over on the heels.

Sheamus vs. Roman Reigns (World Title) (TLC Match) - These guys beat the hell out of each other but I have already seen crazy ladder spots, nasty chair strikes and guys being put through tables earlier in the night. It made the impact of everything in this match mean less. These guys beat the hell out of each other but there was no electricity in the match. Stupid booking aside, this was fun but where was Reigns buddy, Ambrose? What was the point of the little skit earlier on? So stupid.

If we can get Roman vs. Brock Part 2 and Cena vs. Taker as your two main events, I would be happy.

I look forward to Ric giving Becky a tour of the oldest ride in the park but the one with the longest line.

You know, I agree with you and was going to type something up about this but then realized it was the only reason the match had any heat.

Charlotte vs. Paige (Divas Title) - Charlotte doing a Flair flop was cute. The crowd is in to this match with Ric Flair at ringside. I actually like this heel Charlotte a lot more. Decent match but not on par with the best women’s matches. I will say this has been a better string of Divas matches than what we were getting pre-Revolution. The turnbuckle cover playing into the finish was cool.

Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose (IC Title Match) - Owens going for the cheap heat early on talking about Boston sports. Is it possible that Owens is getting even fatter than when he came into the company? Typical match between the two but the crowd is into it more than anything else (but the opener) tonight. I loved the two finger rope touch to break the count. I really did not expect the hurrucanrana to end the match but not the first time I have seen it. In 2011, Masada caught Chris Hero with one in an awesome match from ACW in Austin. Anyway, not a great match but I am glad that Ambrose won.

ECW Rejects vs. Wyatt Family (Elimination Tables Match) - Man, that Bubba setup for Strowman to punch the trash can looked horrible. WTF? Hah! The table broke because Devon rolled off it. Damn gimmicked table!!!! Hah! Man, Bubba and Bron need to stay far away from each other. They keep fucking up their spots. This was complete trash but the fans were into it. I did mark out for the lighter fluid though.

will be the new voice of Smackdown. Saw this from Meltzer reported by Kevin Iole. Hopefully this is a sign they are going to try and revive Smackdown's importance.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger (Chairs Match) - Nice fiery start from Swagger ramming Del Rio into the chairs outside. I liked Alberto’s counter to the Vade rBomb shoving a chair into Swagger’s throat. Del Rio damaging the back with the lung blower and then countering Swagger later with the back breaker was pretty smart. The ankle chair lock was cute. I even like the Swagger Bomb finally connecting on the third try. Third time’s the charm. The setup for the stupid corner stomp was actually pretty clever. The crowd didn’t care but I thought this was actually a pretty good match all things considered.

Rusev vs. Ryback - Besides the horrible booking, I think Rusev loses something by wearing boots. Nothing match but nothing was going to follow the stunt show. Glad Rusev won though.

Usos vs. Lucha Dragons vs. New Day – Ladder Match for the Tag Titles - Pretty nutty spotfest. Stupid wrestlers doing stupid shit. Fun… but stupid.

Xavier's 2K16 reference was awesome.

Sasha vs. Becky - The crowd doesn’t care but these girls are on point with the execution. Becky working that arm like her middle name was Steamboat. Great transition that allowed Sasha to take over and get her corner stomp before the break. The second half was solid but a little bit your turn/my turn. Still, this was really good. Too bad the crowd didn’t care but then again, the WWe gives them no reason to. If creative ever gets their shit together, these two could fucking kill it on a major show in a major position on the card.
