No, the point is that he isn't just a monster foreign heel... it's that he is as close to the real deal as possible. Hell, the Ziggler story right now really isn't about Mother Russia or any other bullshit, it's about a lover scorned. If they do an angle where Rusev starts breaking guys ankles when he returns, it isn't about his heritage but how pissed he is that he was laid out. The foreign heel part is a bonus... it doesn't have to be his complete being.

The difference between Rusev and most foreign monsters is that Rusev is actually a foreign monster. He's closer to the Iron Sheik than NIkita Koloff. No matter what, he'll be the Bulgarian brute or whatever he is.

In my other threads, i am listing the guys based on the amount of quality stuff we have seen on tape and how they wrestle against different people. I'll finish the 80s before too long to see the nominees.

Meltzer praised the IC Chamber match whereas we all murdered it. I liked the Tag match just fine but Dylan thought it was a net negative. Kris gave it a thumbs down oddly enough I guess because he hated the Dusty Finish. It doesn't surprise me at all that so many people gave it a thumbs up since it had Owens-Cena on the card.

I think this is where longevity hurts Kawada. Whereas Tenryu has decades of great work, Kawada has about a decade of great work... a really freaking great decade but I don't know if it overcomes Tenryu's longevity. We had long drawn out bloodbath discussions and arguments about peak vs. longevity. Well, both of these guys had amazing peaks. Longevity is going to have to be my tiebreaker. Tenryu wins this round.

I don't mind the kickouts because each guy actually only kicked out of one finisher. They kicked out of tons of moves but the established finishers were protected.
