[1992-05-30-USWA-TV] Interview: Eddie Gilbert
Gotta love "interpromotional" politics (since Global obviously wasn't participating with this). Eddie went from Lawler, to Jarrett, to King Cobra. At this rate, he'll be jerking the curtain and defending the Global Title against one one of the Moondogs victims. Great promo from Eddie, but what's with him getting buried?

[1992-05-30-WWF-Superstars] Crush vignette
Pete, I don't recall these vignettes at all, and a lot of this stuff was intrinsic to my childhood. I remember the Nailz and Razor Ramon vignettes as though they were yesterday, but nothing from Crush. Seriously, what was the point of this one. It was all of fifteen seconds?

[1992-05-30-WWF-Superstars] Big Boss Man and Nailz
Pretty hardcore stuff, considering the fed and the time frame. Agreed about how unrealistic it was that nobody came to help. An ex con in a prison jump suit is beating the tar out of Bossman, and nobody lifts a finger to stop it.

[1992-05-30-GWF] Interview: Ebony Experience
It's on like neckbone! Remarkable, to me, that they showed this much promise so early on. Considering they'd make it to WCW the following year, and it wasn't until 1997-98 that Booker really started to make a name for himself as a worker. I was also angry in '92 because of Super Soakers, because my mom wouldn't let me have one.

[1992-05-25-AJPW-Super Power Series] Kenta Kobashi & Tsuyoshi Kikuchi vs Doug Furnas & Dan Kroffat
I'm gonna steal my own metaphor that used for the Shawn/Foley match from Mind Games. For one magical night, the stars were aligned just right. The perfect team of gaijin dick heels, the perfect face in peril, the perfect hot tag, and the perfect, rabid, crowd. Kikuchi's goal seemed to be to make sure his life ended on this night, he takes every bump that he can possibly take, and Doug almost breaks him in half with the crab hold.

[1992-05-24-AJW] Manami Toyota & Sakie Hasegawa vs Kyoko Inoue & Mariko Yoshida
I'll fully admit that I haven't seen a ton of AJW, but this just didn't resonate with me all that much. The pace is amazing, and they had some god near falls toward the end, I especially liked the failed monkey flip and jackknife cradle. But it felt more like an indy spotfest, than it did some of the other great AJW matches that I'd seen.

[1992-05-23-WCW-Saturday Night] Ricky Steamboat & Nikita Koloff & Dustin Rhodes vs Arn Anderson & Bobby Eaton & Larry Zbyszko (2/3 falls)
I dug this a ton, but I wouldn't rate it all that highly. The heels didn't really get to get any heat until the third fall when they got to work over Steamboat for a time. It helps that Koloff was mostly kept on the apron and only involved for important spots, like setting up the finishes to the first and third falls. I really didn't like the finish to the second fall either, there's no reason why the heels couldn't have used the phone to steal the win.

[1992-05-23-USWA-TV] Eric Embry vs Brian Christopher
Good lord, I love these Eric Embry promos. All the intensity of Warrior, and you can actually understand WTF he's talking about. A fun little TV match follows, with a funny line of "This one's for Prichard!" then the Moondogs run in and all hell breaks loose. Embry is so tough or nuts, that he no sells the board shot.

[1992-05-23-USWA-TV] Brian Christopher vs Tom Prichard
I agree with the notion that Gilbert didn't really need to be involved. Sure, he had that original promo with Prichard, but he'd already moved on up to Lawler and Jarrett, so this is sort of below him. Travis shows up and Christopher's new rivalry is set.

[1992-05-23-WWF-Superstars] Update: Ultimate Warrior/Papa Shango recap
Here's the Warrior puking! One of the few bad angles that I, as a nine year old mark, knew was stupid. Honestly, I don't see the point in including both the original footage and this on the disc. The stuff before the puking wasn't so great that it needed to be seen twice, like Steamer hanging Rude was.

[1992-05-22-SMW-TV] Paul Orndorff vs Brian Lee
I wish I knew was Cornette was thinking with this idea. He'd already said that his idea choice for the champion was Brad Armstrong, but he wasn't available. Why he felt he pretty much had to cut off Brian's balls from the start, I don 't know. Like Cox said, this makes Bob the top babyface, not Lee.

[1992-05-22-AJPW-Super Power Series] Mitsuharu Misawa & Kenta Kobashi & Toshiaki Kawada vs Jumbo Tsuruta & Masa Fuchi & Akira Taue
Lots of great stuff here from all six. I think Kawada was the standout performer here, which was fitting with him picking up the win for his team. The stuff that mostly stuck with me was from Kawada, like taking that knee to the midsection from Jumbo and jumping back to his feet and leveling him with the elbow. Right before the finish, when Taue charges and Kawada levels him with the ganmengiri was another spot I liked, the timing was a bit off, but it still worked for me.

[1992-05-17-WCW-Wrestle War '92] Brian Pillman vs Tom Zenk
This had some good stuff, although some of their ideas were questionable with the body part work being done, like Zenk's big boot when his leg had been worked over. But, that was counterbalanced with smart things like the powerslam counter, and the finish with Pillman outsmarting Zenk.

[1992-05-16-WCW-Worldwide] Interview: Rick Rude
Good promo from Rude, but, like Loss said, where is the buildup to War Games? With all these great promos, I'm bummed that the blowoff to Rude/Steamboat was the Iron Man Match, which was non title?
