[1992-04-18-SWS] Ric Flair vs Genichiro Tenryu (2/3 falls)
I really enjoyed this. I was surprised to see how animated Flair was, the times I've seen him in Japan he's been all business so to speak.

[1992-04-18-AJPW-Fan Appreciation Day] Mitsuharu Misawa & Kenta Kobashi & Toshiaki Kawada & Tsuyoshi Kikuchi vs Jumbo Tsuruta & Akira Taue & Masa Fuchi & Rusher Kimura
I skipped over this on the actual set. I've seen it before, and didn't have any desire to sit through it again. An interesting concept that doesn't play out as well in execution. I always hated the rules about three needing to be eliminated, feels like they're trying to put over the young team, but still protect Jumbo.

[1992-04-16-NJPW-Explosion Tour: Top of the Super Juniors] Wild Pegasus vs 2 Cold Scorpio
This was crazy amounts of fun, Benoit and Scorpio looked like they were made for each other at this point. I especially liked the tombstone spot toward the end, it looked like Benoit drilled him, but it was clear that he protecting Scorpio the whole way. The finish took the wind out of their sales a bit, but it was far from bad.

[1992-04-14-WWF-Munich, GER] Randy Savage vs Shawn Michaels
I loved this for the most part, it was great seeing Shawn working a more methodical style, trying to further injure Randy's leg, than the flashy spot driven stuff he's mostly known for. The only thing I didn't like was that Shawn was overselling huge when Randy would get something in, he didn't need to give a close near fall to Savage doing little more than getting his foot up on a charge.

[1992-04-13-WWF-London, ENG] Ric Flair vs Davey Boy Smith
I don't think Summerslam in London was a sure thing yet. The Ladder match with Michaels didn't happen till July, and that was supposed to be a tryout of sorts for Vince, since the plan for the IC Title was Bret dropping to Shawn at Summerslam if it was held in WA. Bulldog's reaction is great though, and I'm sure this was designed to help make him into an even bigger draw for their European tours.

Shinya Hashimoto
I always thought it was fairly accepted that Hash was amongst the top of the NJ heavyweight workers. When discussing the top NJ heavyweight matches of the '90's his name comes up frequently, the two '95 Mutoh matches, the '94 Hase match, the '96 matches with Chosyu and Takada, the 6/96 IWGP Tag Titles classic.

[1992-04-11-USWA-TV] Brian Christopher vs Tom Prichard
Pritchard saying that Christopher should be arrested for impersonating a wrestler cracked me up. Typical bait and switch angle, but Christopher being a whiny punk made it amusing.

[1992-04-11-USWA-TV] Brian Christopher vs Tom Prichard
I love this Moondogs angle, but now they're getting carried away, it seems like they're just randomly attacking people now.

[1992-04-11-USWA-TV] Eric Embry and the Moondogs
This is a useless segment by itself, but it's useful as part of the whole angle with Lawler and Jarrett.

[1992-04-05-WWF-Wrestlemania VIII] Ric Flair vs Randy Savage
The whole time I watched this, I found myself thinking that it was obviously good, but that it wasn't holding up compared to Hart/Piper. There's no reason that his shouldn't have surpassed it, Flair and Savage could both bring it, and the blood and overall hatred sure helps. But there's goofy things like the suits holding back Liz for no reason, and I really hate the finish. Savage turning the tables on Ric cheating works, Savage just randomly rolling him up and grabbing the tights doesn't.

[1992-04-05-WWF-Wrestlemania VIII] Bret Hart vs Roddy Piper
This was great more for the characters than the actual work, although the work isn't too shabby either. It's fun watching Bret and Piper both taking little shortcuts on each other, Bret faking the injury to get the cradle and Piper letting the fists fly and getting Bret bloody. The finish is a bit out of nowhere, but was original at the time, and it's been aped plenty of times since.

[1992-04-04-WCW-Pro] Rick Rude & Steve Austin & Arn Anderson vs Barry Windham & Dustin Rhodes & Ricky Steamboat
You know you're watching some good stuff when Steve Austin looks to be the weakest of the bunch. All the hate and intensity you'd expect with a long feud like this, and tons of good work to be found. I still think the Moondogs is the best thing on this set for now, but the DA isn't far behind.
