Hometown Indies
When I was a kid in the late 80's we would have shows in my hometown at the high school gym and the guy that promoted the show was a local guy named Wild Bill Smith who graduated from said high school. He would book guys from Deep South and Blackwell's Southern Championship Wrestling so we would get Tommy Rich, Chick Donovan, The Assassin, Mr. Wrestling II, Dick Slater, etc mixed in with a couple of other local guys. Wild Bill was a character though as he was always in the main event trying to make himself look like he was on the level of the bigger stars but he was as good as your standard TBS jobber. Wild Bill though would get his rocks off though by going to the Omni and making grandstand challenges from the seats to the wrestlers as they walked down the aisle. He actually slapped Nikita on the head one time and Nikita stomped him out. Wild Bill also ran in the ring one time the WWF was running the Omni and pulled down Nikolai Volkoff's trunks from behind. I guess he had something against Russians.

When the territories died
I got AWA running monthly shows from November 1983-March 1984 and that's it.

Miley Cyrus
There is a pantheon of people that have reinvented themselves to stay relevant and successful Madonna U2 Sting David Bowie Those artists also are among the most talented ever in their craft. Miley was a creation to begin with and like other creations she will fade out.

Current WWE
HBK has now made his way into the angle as he will be the ref for Bryan/Orton HIAC

Buddy Rose or Nick Bockwinkel?
Yeah that is a travesty....imagine Bock teaming up with the Midnight Rockers
-
Miley Cyrus
The thing about Madonna was she kept reinventing herself every couple of years and stayed relevant. Miley doesn't have Madonna's talent or business sense.

I wouldn't say that but Mania time......

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
No poll numbers get on TV without them wanting it to be the way they wanted. They learned from past mistakes. Plus Hogan's name has been uttered quite a bit on WWE TV lately.

Buddy Rose or Nick Bockwinkel?
Went with Bock here as he was on a high level for a long period of time having great high profile matches as well as his whole character in general being top notch. Buddy is fantastic but just not at Bock's level as an overall performer.

No they got what they wanted there because they put those guys there for a reason especially Sting

WWE Battleground 2013
Not watching the show for various reasons but the finish seems to me that Show is being added to the feud and HIAC will be a 3-way

WON HOF 2013 discussion
Let's also not forget back in the 80's promotions would claim 3,000 or more for Korakuen shows.

WON HOF 2013 discussion
Back when I was talking to Stuart regularly he would always acknowledge the attendance claims were juiced but he was going to run with the NJPW numbers anyway. NOAH was the worst at making claims on shows though in that era, they would juice up houses sometimes 4,000 stronger
