You really didn't hear much of the Flair formula talk until the Sting feud and then it became a talking point for basically the next 20 years.

I think a lot of this has to do with Dave becoming more and more involved with MMA and it keeps him away from all the different styles of wrestling that he used to be able to watch regularly that he can't anymore. Dave used to watch lucha TV weekly and almost all of the Japan TV....not anymore.

He was a special attraction in the territories he would go to so yeah.

That makes perfect sense as you have FCW work as the entry level then whatever the CT group is called work as the AAA affiliate.
