Well it was through Turner then since Crockett was gone but regarding the Roadies, their last match with AJPW was the March Budokan show so I'm guessing that Turner basically kaboshed a lot of the guys getting booked over there other than some exceptions like Sting & The Dynamic Dudes. Flair & Japan was an interesting situation as if you watch the matches Flair never looked enthused to be there and they would go long intervals not working together which was way different than it was when Race was the champ.

That brings me to another question, what exactly was the final straw that ended the NWA/All-Japan relationship because I'm at 1989 TV for the 80's project and I went through the whole Clash debacle in Cleveland with Tenryu but they kept bringing in NWA guys like Steamer who replaced Flair after he won the title, then Sting, & others until it just ended but the way they booked Steamer when he was there was odd as it was against mostly midcarders.

Wasn't it Muto's knee surgery or something that prevented him from coming back.

Man, could you just go away? This whole thread has been full of everybody talking about how fun these early episodes of Raw were, and how well all the matches hold up. Nobody is being super negative against anything. You're being a fucking doofus. I have 3 posts in this thread. One was I how loved Double J's gimmick. The other was that Kid vs Razor was classic as it's one of my fav Raw memories. Fun memories. Srry if my mindset doesn't allow me to think insulting someone's parents is cool. Srry that I don't put up with bs. My other point was that Bret in 95 was away from the top of the card and it was annoying for fans of his to see this. Hakushi and Jean Pierre made for some awesome matches but we Bret fans still suffered through a Kiss My Foot match that we didn't want to see. The Kiss Your Foot match was even agreed to be stupid in this thread. Has there ever been a worse stipulation in wrestling? And yes, this is not a negative thread but it is true that this is the most negative board in existence. THINK ABOUT THAT for a second. ThisThat's just not wrestling but any board that has to do with any subject matter. This has been pointed out by others as well. It is a bunch of nerds having to take down people in order to make themselves feel good. I hate it when people have to tear down others in order to pump themselves up. It's the wimpy way out and I will call people out on it for doing it or liking it. I've always been the one to defend people against bullies. No ifs ands or buts about it. He's actually not doing stuff for the actual game, he's doing promos with fighters for the game from what I gathered.

Ariel Helwani just posted on Twitter that Paul Heyman is officially done with pro wrestling after he has signed a deal with EA Sports to do stuff for their MMA game.

They could get him over as a heel when the longer he doesn't hit Wade the fans really start to boo him because they want him to do it and he can't so they lose faith in him. Cena then somehow is able to leave NEXUS but he cuts this big promo on the fans for losing their faith in him and he doesn't need them anymore.

Listening to the Bryan & Vinny show from last night and it always amuses me to hear them complain about the fans reacting positively for something that they think they shouldn't be and saying that wrestling fans are stupid. They were talking about the WWE guys attacking the NEXUS guys during the Cena/Barrett match at HIAC.

Dave can't get it through his head that not all of these guys watched pro wrestling as a kid or whenever and actually care about what the fans think. Does it help the fighters if they can be entertaining on the mic...sure but guys like Frankie Edgar who are talented as fuck and win their fights can't be held back because they are vanilla on the mic.
