The greatest things ever written on wrestling message boards
The way they totally dropped the ball on the Freebirds was especially mindblowing. Freebirds vs. Adonis & Murdoch would've been awesome.

They signed guys to keep them away from the territories especially Spoiler, Thornton, Wrestling II, Mosca, Buzz, Freebirds, and the like.

Hogan wasn't going around the horn with Bundy or Muraco though like he was with Piper & Orndorff.

Well if you look at it, Hogan only had two big angles the first 2 1/2 years he was champ and that was Piper in 1985 and Orndorff in 1986 and that was actually smart because he defended it against every major heel across the board hence giving them the rub as world title challengers.

Yeah the tag match is where they are heading with Cena starting it last week and Dave making his entry tonight.

RIP Jack Brisco as he died this morning according to Meltz.

Antonio Inoki = WWE Hall of Famer
Inoki & Hansen did have a big rivalry but yeah Hansen isn't the first one I would have in mind for that spot. Hogan would've been the natural choice but that ain't happening.

Dave just put this up on the site.

Is this the one where Jake was cheered heavily? Yes that was the match because the Honky angle had aired on TV the previous weekend.

The History of the World Heavyweight Championship
And house show film is better because the matches aren't squashes like most studios of that era.

Ridiculous quotes from WO.com columnists
Hence why I said that house show importance has waned since the Monday night wars.

Ridiculous quotes from WO.com columnists
I agree with the last post, the object of TV is to build to house shows and PPV's which has been mostly forgotten these days and I would love to see WWE go back to a squash match formula with a match featuring high midcarders as the main event or main event guys mixed in with the midcarders.

Ridiculous quotes from WO.com columnists
Yeah I didn't mean it as a crash TV surprise, just a surprise in general as Cena wasn't predicted to come back for at least 2 more months later.

Where'd he get that? He told me a WWE wrestler told him that so who knows.

Ridiculous quotes from WO.com columnists
The last real surprise was Cena being in the 08 Rumble. No one knew he was there not even Meltz.

My buddy Art sent me this It's been revealed that Jeff failed his 3rd drug test 2 weeks before Summerslam, but wasn't fired because he was leaving anyway. But due to the terms of the Wellness Policy, WWE can't rehire him for a year.

Sting was notorious for being a prick in the early 90's as Luger was his main influence. Back when they ran Main Event Fitness in Buckhead the douchebaggery was running rampant before Sting found religion.

And when I meant unspectacular I said that he hasn't become the huge action star that everyone thought he would become where he would be in Michael Bay style movies but yeah he is successful in the Disney genre. Rock was approached to guest host RAW on 1/11 before Tyson was announced and didn't give a concrete answer so they announced Tyson then Rock wavered for 24 hours before saying he couldn't do it so Tyson was again announced formally.
