I think you can do at most a 1 year contract but you can release anyone anytime you want.

There are some big guns missing from that list so the deal is how do we want to go that route with AWA, WWF, Mid-South all not recognizing the NWA champ....

Well the most important thing is what territories get used and what aren't especially non-NWA groups

Announcers should stick with their territory....where we get sticky is managers

Joe is also working ROH TV which is the biggest deal of them all

Yeah I watched the TV from that period before the show and I forgot to note that but yeah they were pushing the rematch deal hard

I think you can get one territorial pick where each promoter can pick 1 guy from the existing roster

Basically the way it should work is that everyone involved gets a territory and you do a draft now if there are enough people then we could have territories with multiple bookers like in real life.

If you start with 1983 you can work with different territories plus you have a wider variety of talent to choose from

After watching the Memphis set, there was no other team that I was more impressed with and immediately thought that they should be ranked higher than the RnR Express as far as historical purposes go. They could do it all from brawling to straight wrestling. Eaton & Sugar also rank really high with me as well but these guys are the best.

I think 1983 would be a great start because it's right before the WWF expansion.

I'm definitely interested as well and I think we need to fit it according to a timeline not have guys from different eras go against each other....

If you are going to do this you need to pick a direct year to start and go that way.....Wrestling Classics did this for many years and it was fairly successful

It actually did start before Windham joined then they iced it for a bit and brought it back.

DiBiase never worked Jim Crockett Promotions. Regarding the Valentine point let's not forget that Valentine in 1983 just was a few months removed from being a major player in WWF drawing big houses against Backlund. DiBiase was a better promo than Valentine no doubt and had a better character by that time as he was a leader of men as Valentine usually had a manager. I know there is a DiBiase/Rude thread but a DiBiase/Valentine thread is much more interesting to me as a debate thread.
