Once they took away ADR's elaborate entrance it went downhill

I can't believe it's been a week and I haven't seen this yet. Yes I know plenty of wrestling fans that I work with and the ones outside of work that watch PPV's with me that don't go online for wrestling news. Only 2 or 3 of these guys watch other shows besides RAW...the rest just watch RAW & PPV's because Monday is like tradition for wrestling. These guys mainly have families, 2nd jobs, or just don't care that much about spending time thinking about it. I had one guy tell me that he doesn't understand why I read about wrestling online so much and said that his wife doesn't go online reading about Days of our Lives so why should I read about wrestling so much.

Bryan is more over in some areas than others....

It ain't Memphis because that library is spread out everywhere.....WWC would be a top choice or maybe they finally got Matysik to sell his St. Louis stuff

The Bob Armstrong heel stuff that's been posted here we have in the same quality as well.....very dark. It was also the last weeks of his run as well and I wish we had his early part of the heel run which was awesome. Pedicino would air Mid-South before Continental which was a helluva 2 hour block and there were plenty of times where the Continental TV was better than Watts.

Watch the old MSG shows on the WWE Network or wherever you could find them and just about every show Vince or Gorilla would just shit on one of the NYAC appointed refs for being incompetant. This was in the era where the state commission appointed refs not the promotion.

Yeah this is a valiant effort to try and do this list but there are matches that pretty much no one has results for that could change this list.

Yeah the company does that...I was coming from the fan perspective. Perfect example is the Sheamus/Christian feud which I had 4 people at work on Tuesday whine about they are tired of seeing since they have wrestled so much on TV. WWE has a bad habit of running the same match every week sometimes twice a week instead of back in the old days when you would run the series of matches over a span of months.

All of that is part of it but shelf lives of feuds and even wrestlers are way shorter now than ever

The rise of ADHD has changed the way things are done in a lot of entertainment mediums...wrestling used to be booked months and sometimes years in advance and you can't do that anymore. Real sports has been affected even worse as you can win a championship as a coach one year and if you fail to make the playoffs the next year then a chunk of the fans of the team want you gone. It's the classic case of what have you done for me lately

That angle was all the rave at my job today people were buzzing about all the people around the ring and how great everyone was in that segment. They had never seen anything like that before. Speaking of that, wrestling has always been a topic at my job among a few of us but the last month or so the number of people talking about it has grown quite a bit....

One of the main reasons why Mike has taken the lead over Dave in WWE news is you look at who has been working for WWE lately and it features guys who worked a lot in Northeast indies which Mike would attend those shows and knew those guys personally. Dave used to go to a lot of shows back in the day and that's one of the reasons why he had such great sources now he hardly ever goes so his connections to the scene are mostly out of the business.

I agree but every cultural "movement" eventually gets co-opted and it's something that will never change because when there is money to be made it's time to cash in.

That happens in every form of life.....you should've seen all the people whining on Twitter how SXSW last weekend was taken over by corporations.

Braves are no longer on the old Turner family networks.

There is one big difference though......Dave wasn't the host on those shows.....you were but don't worry about it greats like Mike Francesa has fallen asleep on their shows as well.
