i still 100% say rusev should've won. cena has a resevoir of credibility and overness that can never be depleted and it would've made rusev and super star.

i was as down on the build to this show as anyone but aside from all the fluff with the commercials and music, this has been a damn good show.

could have used an AA kickout from rusev and i think the ending was too abrupt. but minor complains, that match fucking ruled, everything about it.

At this point no level of sincere incompetence is out of the question of WWE's booking.
  13. do we need the 'you cant get laid' talk on possibly the single most niche and hardcore pro wrestling forum on the whole internet

I still really wonder about the confiscating signs thing. On one hand can you put anything past WWE?; on the other hand that just sounds like TOO much for anyone. It's easy for two people to just make up shit to send to Meltzer.
  15. Maybe the best episode in the company's history tonight. The main event totally lived up to the hype, Drago/Aerostar was fun as usual and the Ryck/Crew match was a nice angle-based feud ending match. Lacking in the vignettes but they more than made up for it with everything else.

That Shibata/Honma tag match was a blast, great stuff. Easily the best match on the finals.

Yep. Actually, I think a couple months ago when he was still being pushed as the guy it was as bad as it ever was and was starting to get worse. It felt like EVERYONE had soured on him. But this Rusev feud is exactly where I think he needs to be right now. Part of a big angle outside of the main event that doesn't take precedence over the main event. I'm sure if he goes over Rusev at Wrestlemania the crowd on the next RAW will be right back to shitting on him though. Maybe if Rusev goes over the crowd will cut him some slack.

I wouldn't even say low-end. I loved that match and don't even follow TNA and only vaguely know the angle. But it was a kind of match I don't think we've had in a long time. It was a piece of art in terms of working the crowd, both guys performances were perfect, it was laid out perfectly, everything done was great. For a hair vs. hair match it was even awesome looked at as an apuestas match with a big blade job, a huge dive and a great heel beat down segment. Crowd was out of control too. I have it as my #2 match of the year, behind just Nakamura/Ibushi.
  19. Decided to watch that main event of Impact tonight and holy shit it was amazing. I wouldn't argue with someone who called it the US MOTY.
  20. The "meta" aspects of WWE interest me so much more than WWE right now. I'm excited for Mania to see how the crowd eviscerate the main event, to see what kind of fallout we get, to see how the company handles it the night after and to hear commentary about how they can turn the push around and make it work, to see how it pans out the month leading into the next PPV, etc. As for the aspect of watching a wrestling show to enjoy it and anticipate the matches, yeah, hardly at all.
  21. Didn't care for a lot of this episode. I liked some stuff in the cage match but overall I thought it wasn't too good. The Ivelisse/Angelico match was too long for what it was going for. The Konnan vignette was great though. Konnan is a million times more interesting than anything in WWE going into Wrestlemania. And I'm pumped for that Casket match too. The gimmick makes perfect sense in context and the vignette setting it up was great.

Indeed. Do they go full troll/pro Brock or they just watch there in silence. I'm predicting big pops for Brock spots, loud CM PUNK and DANIEL BRYAN cants while Reigns is on offense, and loud WE WANT ROLLINS chants as Reigns celebrates his win.
  23. tim replied to Smack2k's topic in WWE
The crowd response to the WM main event is by far the thing I'm most interested in on the show.
  24. tim replied to Smack2k's topic in WWE
the crowd was hot in the beginning. crowds usually are. wwe just kills them with boring shows where nothing matters.

honestly, paul talking about reigns being a savage samoan whose family made him fight packs of football players and muscleheads for acceptance is the coolest reigns has ever sounded
