So does everyone agree that this is the new 4th of the "Big Four" PPVs? Big time gimmick, affects the rest of the year, consistently good.

Agreed, I loved her fighting back at the end. I'm into this match.

Well that was something else. I really liked the first hour. Then they lost me with Dixie and the women. Then that ending, oh man.

I liked the first two matches. This Dreamer thing is, uh, a bit much.

Decided to watch Impact for the first time since probably the first year it came on TV tonight just to see how bad it is. Well, the first segment was pretty damn good. Hell, it was very good. Crowd is super hot and that match was really fun.

on the daily show tonight kevin hart was the guest and they discussed his RAW appearance for most of the interview. it seems stewart watches regularly.

This, easily. I had to look away.

Even in spite of the puke angle I thought this was an exceptionally good RAW. Crowd was great. The entire Rollins/Ziggler-Barrett/Dean segment and the Battle Royale were both top shelf segments, with some other really good stuff like Sheamus/Bray. The main event was a 2014 Kane match but as an overall main event segment it managed to be good through the hot interference section and the big steps spot.

To be fair this is a great crowd, better than the last two PPVs. But I'm hardly going to argue against evidence that supports a Titus superpush. Speaking of the crowd, they're really into Ziggler tonight.

God damn that was awesome. Loved that Battle Royal once it got down to the last couple guys.

Do they ever even think this? Has this idea crossed the head of any higher ups?

The rest of this RAW is so good so far that I could half imagine Vince giving up creative control of this one episode, on the condition that one idea of his had to stay. He chose the one he felt most strongly about, of course.

I really, really don't like these stand alone Bray in-ring promos. There are a lot of better things they can do with his character.

I'm having a hard time trying to wrap my head around the wrestling-definitely-isn't-art arguments or assertions. It's a creative product that can be enjoyed and evaluated on its aesthetic merits. That's enough to call it art to me. Some people only care about conning the marks and getting their money. Same is true for every art. There are also a lot of people involved in wrestling who care about having quality matches for its own sake, who enjoy experimenting with the style. Bryan Danielson ending a match vs. CM Punk with an abdominal stretch in 2004 is a deliberate artistic decision. So is Eddie and Benoit working the reverse chinlock prominently in their match from 96 in Japan. You won't find deep ruminations on the human condition in pro wrestling, for the most part, but neither will you in, say, dance music but there's no controversy in saying that the best musicians making dance music are engaging in art.

Well, there goes the best thing in WWE and judging by this show it doesn't look like there's much good to replace it. Interested to see how this angle develops at least.
