Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
Is Venis talking about the infamous 2004 Guerrero-Angle feud where Angle convinced Guerrero that Angle looking much stronger than Guerrero would be beneficial to Guerrero's career? Interesting to see someone talk about it. EDIT: Also nice to see someone talking about Angle not selling enough.

[1992-03-28-USWA-TV] Eric Embry vs Dirty White Boy
The few minutes that were shown looked awesome. This looked so sleazy (in a good way). Embry and DWB were all bloodied up and brawling with intensity. Great stuff.

[1992-03-28-WCW-Pro] Arn Anderson vs Ricky Steamboat
This was incredible. Amazing what they did within a 10 minute time frame. Everything flowed together from beginning to end. After the spinebuster, Steamboat looks like he's crippled or like Nate Quarry after getting knocked out by Rich Franklin. Two awesome professionals working perfectly together. That crowd was so hot for everything. Steamboat looks like the man when the match and post-match angle is over.

[1992-03-20-PWFG] Yoshiaki Fujiwara vs Bart Vale
I adore this match. I haven't seen it since I got the PWFG set from Will a few years ago. Fujiwara walking away with a grin on his face after the first headbutt was awesome. Loved Vale doing the headbutts on the ground and seeing Fujiwara complain in such a crybaby heelish way. It's cool seeing how Fujiwara reacts towards Vale's kicks, like he's so overwhelmed by them and intimated by the striking of Vale. This is so great.

[1992-03-14-SMW-TV] Tim Horner vs Rip Rogers
Charming TV match, just solid and fun stuff. I liked the finish, the sunset flip pin actually was performed and sold really well. Also, the old lady in the front row was so cool.

[1992-03-14-WCW-Saturday Night] Ricky Morton vs Brian Pillman
I was pretty disappointed at this. Disappointed by the selling, and it felt like they were just going through the motions. Nothing bad, it was just a throwaway TV match.

[1992-03-16] Donahue: Vince McMahon, Dave Meltzer, John Arezzi, Barry Orton & Bruno Sammartino
I took a break from the 1992 set, but watched two discs this past week. I saw this once before, like four years ago, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to watch it again. But I quickly changed my mind as soon as it started, I feel kinda bad saying it's so entertaining. Graham was so awful in this. Loss and the rest of you guys pretty much already went over all the highlights. Also, the woman in black wondering why anyone would want to go into a sleazy business like pro wrestling and the other woman asking "isn't it all fixed" were so amusing. Meltzer saying McMahon used the word he denied he used and then seeing both their and the audience reaction, is such a light-hearted funny moment.

[1994-03-20-WWF-Wrestlemania X] Bret Hart vs Owen Hart
Loved your review for this Loss. I remember buying the WrestleMania X VHS master from a pawn shop when I was a kid. I think it might be the match I've watched the most. I saw it a few years ago on Bret's DVD, and was happy to see how well it holds up. I agree that the progression and flow of this match is just perfect. I remember reading online like 10 years ago that Bret and Owen had a totally different match planned for WMX. Basically, that the match they were working on throughout the house show circuit was different. I think the story goes, that the week of WMX, they decided that the match they had wasn't hitting the right note so they came up with this new lay out a few days before WMX. I don't remember if Bret discussed it in his book, and I lent out the book to a good friend so can't look it up right now. Anyone remember the details or know what I'm talking about?

[1992-03-01-CMLL] Cien Caras & Mascara Ano 2000 & Sangre Chicana vs Konnan & Perro Aguayo & Rayo de Jalisco Jr
Haha, that moment was so great. This is amazing, great reckless and wild brawl. This just goes two falls, and it does a great job at getting over the rudos. Dr. Alfonso Morales is talking about how Cien Caras had talked before the match that he was more interested in fucking up Konnan to the point of retiring him than actually winning the match. I love how Cien Caras pinned Konnan with one finger, that was so neat. Some good post shots from these guys, Rayo De Jalisco ate some without even blocking them. I usually dig Caras and think he's one of the greatest of all pro wrestling stars (amazing charisma and presence), but I dug Sangre Chicana the most in this. He was eating everyone's shots in such an aesthetically pleasing manner. Also, him slipping on the apron unintentionally was amusing. Enjoyed the way the end of the 2nd fall played out and how the final showdown between Sangre Chicana and Pedro Aguayo went. That final hail mary somersault bump Aguayo look like it took everything out of Aguayo. Loved that Chicana won with a left hook. Epic brawl.

Wait, what? I don't remember that part at all. I haven't seen it in years, but it was widely discussed at the time as being a dick move by Shawn. I found a transcript of it online, and Shawn said this in the most obnoxious sarcastic "pro wrestling is fake and Hogan sucks" way possible: The crowd didn't really know how to react when this happened.

Match quality standards
If the alcohol and drug addiction storyline wasn't shitty enough, having Jericho reveal that Punk was born out of wedlock like it's some unbelievable taboo was really lame. It's 2012, jeez. Then having Punk emotionally say how Jericho was "reprehensible" for saying that and saying "I am not a bastard" was just embarrassing to watch.

Mania as it happens.
I really thought the early part of Jericho and Punk match was sooo hammy and corny. Having the camera and mic perfectly pick up Jericho's awful lines and having Punk react to them just felt really cheesy and forced. It made both look like terrible actors, although they were probably forced to by management (or maybe it was some poorly executed idea from Jericho since I can't see Punk coming up with this). The match picked up right after the suplex to the outside and I liked the match quite a bit from that point on. I thought Orton-Christian did the "chicken shit heel tries to get DQ'ed to win the title" bit a whole lot better since it just involved simple basic mamon shit. Match I enjoyed the most was Rock vs Cena, it's probably the match I'll come away watching the most from this 'Mania. Really good match, although I wish Cena would have gone over.

Any video of a match with Kyle Matthews doing one?
