  1. Claudio Castagnoli. Runner up: CM Punk.
  2. Bryan Danielson. My runner up is Necro Butcher, they are very close.
  3. Bull Nakano was as awesome as ever in 1992.
  4. Jumbo is the greatest wrestler of the year for me. El Dandy is my runner up.
  5. Toshiaki Kawada had a great year too.
  6. No one was in the same league as Akira Hokuto in 1993
  7. What about CM Punk? His year is very good but maybe not as good as Eddie Guerrero's.
  8. It's Ric Flair, there's many wrestlers with great years in 1989 but The Nature Boy was in another level.
  9. Manami's year is awesome, her match against Aja Kong in June was the first joshi match I saw.
  10. 1983 is the year of Jerry Lawler.

I love his feud against Sgt Slaughter, especially the Boot Camp match in 1984.
  12. Sorry, it was a typo.

She is one of the greatest joshi wrestlers ever , her 1980 is legendary, the best 18 year old performer I've ever seen. A top 30 lock for me.
  14. There's some Ray Mendoza matches that we have from Mexico.
  15. Villano III is better than Ray Mendoza and the same could be said about Villano IV and Villano V.
  16. Dick Togo is the only one that I put on my list, maybe The Great Sasuke would be another interesting candidate but I don't have any wrestlers that could make my list from Toryumon or Dragon Gate, maybe Shingo or Masaaki Mochizuki if this was a top 150 wrestlers ever.

Eddie Gilbert is a great tag worker regardless of the partner.
  18. Mr JMML replied to Grimmas's topic in Nominees
She is a candidate that I strongly considered but he won't enter my list for the same reason why Art Barr didn't, her peak is awesome but she is lacking in the longevity aspect, her rivalry against Chigusa Nagayo is legendary and Dump's 1986 is awesome yet not enough to make it into my list.
  19. Karl Gotch had two famous matches on tape. vs Antonio Inoki 1972 vs Michiaki Yoshimura 1961 Do we have more Karl Gotch on tape?
  20. Mr JMML replied to Grimmas's topic in Nominees
I loved his rivalry against Invader I and III, I really want to see more of him. Is there any other Chicky Starr matches you would recommend outside his feud with the Invaders?
  21. Mr JMML replied to Grimmas's topic in Nominees
The bad outweights the good in his case, there isn't nearly enough good matches to consider him as a Greatest Wrestler Ever candidate.

His work in GAEA is awesome and I agree, at one point she was better than Meiko Satomura. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kE94L6jW6TIoxjnxjYGgR1rGQaiESFIt_1dRDY-ZExI/edit#gid=0 There's a lot of Chikayo Nagashima's matches here.

His work in Memphis introduced me to him, his rivalry with Cactus Jack was very good but the match that turned him into a serious candidate for me was this famous tag team match from January 1989 that I recommend to anyone who hasn't seen it yet. An awesome babyface perfomance by Steamboat and Eddie Gilbert.

A short career with an amazing peak but I think that a 7 year career isn't enough unless you were the best wrestler in the world for at least one of them. Maybe I'm being too harsh here, his AAA run was great. He was gone too soon, RIP Art Barr. An interesting what if in wrestling history.
  25. They look great, thanks.
