And I still never heard of these people , What "public" is Dave going on about? The evening news isn't ever talking about fake wrestling OR "real" wrestling / UFC.

I was just at a house show last week and I met ONE dude who was a fan like me. I complimented his Steen and Generico shirt and started up a convo. He looks at his friend and explains that he was trying to explain the idea of "smart fan" to him and the friend was all, " What?" He showed me to him saying " See, this is what I was trying to explain to you ". Everyone else I saw were either kids who thought it was real, fans who know it's fake but had NO IDEA about booking or anything of the sort , and parents of the kids booing and cheering to have a good time and enjoy the show. Shit I almost got in a fight with two twenty something's because I was cheering Del Rio.

Very few back then. I'm doubting there were lots of people giving a shit about the inner workings of Pro Wrestling during the Depression, World War Two, and Happy Days.

What he was getting at is that Regal and Henry are guys with very different styles and skills, and Christian is so good he can have good matches with anyone.

I love that most wrestlers will most likely plan out a match backstage by just saying "Ok so then you do your bullshit, I'll do my bullshit, yada yada, then we'll go home."

What I'm saying is that no one was really advertised for this show I was at. At the end of the day it was "COME SEE THE WWE!" I saw Cena vs Del Rio at a house show here 4 years ago that didn't sell out and wasn't advertised either. It's all "COME SEE WWE!" But if they play the Pepsi Center they sell out. So how can we accurately judge what wrestler draws based on who's actually there? Cena drew people to the show I was at and he wasn't even advertised. I've been to shows where people thought Rey was gonna be there based on the fact that he works for WWE. By the way, the house show I saw Saturday? The Rollins/ Ambrose match was amazing and Shaemus/ Del Rio LMS was fucking awesome. And Big E is super over with the kids.

Considering they don't really even promote the house shows with what matches are gonna happen or they run radio ads promoting "Come see this guy " even after those guys are hurt and not around, the idea that wrestlers are draws for house shows is passé. I just went to a house show on Saturday that still was being promoted on the radio with spots saying "See Daniel Bryan!" and there were people there saying "Is Cena gonna be here?" They promote the name WWE. Shit, apparently on the website they eventually said the show was gonna have Ambrose vs Rollins and a main event of Shaeumus vs Kane Last Man Standing and it was actually Shaemus vs Del Rio. And the place wasn't sold out. But if it was a RAW 20 minutes away in Denver than it'd have been sold out quick. Even the house shows Im Denver sell out. So basically, Judging guys by how house shows draw is done.
