That isn't really the MO anymore. They have no problem with one guy going over again and again... Exhibit #1: Sheamus vs. Christian. I loved the kendo stick beatdown, but Christian needs to beat him soon with enormous amounts of cheating.

Cena HAD to win that. It was the logical culmination of the story.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
I was at a TNA house show here in Colorado in 2009 that drew about 200. I know that cause I was there and counted heads. It was actually a shame since it was a great show with Joe vs Styles as main event.

A rematch is one thing. And a good thing. But "Cena wants his win back ?" Come on, man.

And again, if they brought back Batista because of Guardians of the Galaxy then they're doing a terrible job since they haven't mentioned it once.

When has Cena ever been known as someone who "wants his win back"?

Nonsense. And even if it's "make up work", which I totally don't think it is, who cares? Why would that matter to someone? "I want a banana split" " Here's an ice cream cone." "It's ok but I wanted a banana split" "Ok here's your banana split" " But I wanted it before, and the presentation of the whipped cream is forced, and I'm pretty sure everyone else in the Dairy Queen are employees pretending to eat banana splits, and I'm not sure people will keep liking banana splits and they're making banana splits uncool with all this"

Maybe they just teased the break up to test reactions, knowing full well the gimmick still has legs by evolving them into Anti-heroes.

The Steve Austin Show
Yeah that Hennig story is hilarious. And Show's impersonations have always been fucking great. I wouldn't be surprised if that's why they had him do those comedy impersonation bits back in the day when they weren't using him as a top guy because of various reasons. I enjoyed Show explaining why he wasn't really ready when he got to WWF and how he learned.

The Steve Austin Show
I'm loving that Big Show was working as a Karaoke DJ before meeting Hogan and getting his break.

Dave Meltzer stuff
Todd Martin stinks. He's a zero. That segment fucking ruled. "Wah, they were plants" , who gives a shit? The Undertaker's Druids didn't actually build Stonehenge , who fucking cares?

Nick Patrick: Spotlight Hog
I'm the only person who likes David Manning and gets his gimmick.

WWE quirks, linguistic and otherwise
Ever since Lawler's heart attack they mention that Doctor every now and then. Remember that big jacked up security guy with the beard and leather cap? They briefly had a period of time where they'd mention him and he got a write up in one of the WWF mags back in the late 90's.

Man, Bret was definitely the "real fan's" choice at the time. All American Lex sucked. It wasn't like "hardcore" fans didn't dig Luger, we/ they didn't like the character. Anyway, I LOVED JBL accusing Lawler of using his Mempho influences to allow the Yes Movement to occupy the arena with no police involved. Even better was Lawler not denying it.

WWE Network... It's Here
He's the GM of NXT and he thinks Emma is ridiculous. He's a bad guy.

I LOVE Stephanie playing the role the internet has invented for her. "WHEN I WAS BORN IT ALL BECAME MINE!" Of course, someone's gonna try and psycho analyze her saying this is "really her".

WWE Network... It's Here
That was one of my favorite runs of TV and JBL and Cole were both awesome during it. Especially because JBL was a full on heel announcer. He'd also constantly throw out references like comparing L and K to the Simpson Brothers from World Class.

The difference is we didn't have the faith in them actually carrying it out. What's this "we", white man?

What types of wrestling fans exist?
I was at Joe/ Kobashi and it's not like it was at MSG. Sure, it was sold out but It was in a small hotel ballroom. It was huge amongst ROH fans. And ROH fans represented a small fraction of overall wrestling fandom. And the idea that "everyone" goes online to read about wrestling is just not true. I'd bet the farm that if you polled an average WWE house show crowd only the smallest of percentage would even know what a Meltzer is, and if they do go online, it's probably to WWE.com.
-
What types of wrestling fans exist?
Well, I guess it's different in Colorado.

What types of wrestling fans exist?
Every time I've ever gone to a WWE house show in recent years if I tried to talk to someone about any "internet" stuff, I'd almost always get looks of, "Huh?". There'd always be a small group of people outside during the intermission who'd be going on about "INSIDERZ" stuff but they were dopier than the biggest "mark".
-
What types of wrestling fans exist?
Parents of kids. They enjoy the shows but don't give a shit about booking or even know what that is. They watch with their kids and take them to shows and enjoy themselves. But at the end of the day, it's just another TV show.

Punk Walks Out of WWE
Bro, we discussed the about 5 times after you watched the Punk DVD and how pissed you were that Punk would besmirch the good name of lifelong wrestling fan Miz!!! It was the only thing you could talk about from the entire DVD. Again, you fail. What I actually said was that it was a shitty, elitest, douchebag move for Punk to shit on Miz on the DVD while including the footage of Miz praising Punk. Given that Punk made such a big fucking deal about "All WWE Bio DVD's are the same and stink and I have complete control on mine" then why be a cock and include the bit with Miz praising him? If he just did his bit bashing him and being mad he was in the Mania Main Event, then fine. But why include Miz saying nice things about him unless he was being a cock? Like Punk's childhood being a wrestling fan is somehow better than Miz's childhood being a wrestling fan. I never said "I love Miz". I do love the Miz/ Morrison team in WWECW, to be fair. And YOU, sir were the insane one in that convo, going on that Punk's douchey behavior was OK and justified because Punk is a better wrestler and plugs DVD sets. WOOOOOO.
