Well, it's a great day for a PPV! We gonna party tonight Philadelphia style!

The undercard of this show looks like a lot of fun, but I had no idea what the undercard was when I bought this yesterday. Eddie Kingston got my 40 bucks.

That Kingston promo I saw on Twitter sold me. I'm gonna actually pay that much for a PPV in the era of no crowds. Eddie Kingston is money.

I liked that angle, but the problem was this. When it started, I think Dustin was the heel and Val was the face, which is weird to begin with. The porn star is mocking the "Christian" who's a heel because he's mad about being dirty on tv and playing the Goldust character. But there was an awesome part, where after being taunted by Val for weeks, Val was cutting a promo and the Goldust music and lights interrupted it, because now shit was on. And I'm sure there was no good payoff, at least I don't remember one. It was the ultimate Russo angle; at it's simplest it's a great wrestling story...but.....Russo.

Those of you hating that this show does so many "modem" WWE shows where Arn was an agent, are missing out. Arn said he didn't like Taker vs Kane because he doesn't like brother vs. brother, his examples being the Hardy's and Steiners.

I guess my point is, it always comes off as " We didn't know that getting hit in the head with a chair was all that bad". Which is ludicrous.

I am so tired of hearing people on podcasts, especially the Thompson ones, say "We didn't know then what we know now" about CTE or concussions. That's the biggest load of bullshit. I got a severe concussion in 1984 when I was 14 and my doctor told my family and I all about the possible effects and long term concerns. Everyone knew in wrestling and sports, nobody cared.

Orange 45 isn't quick anything, "Alternative sex"? The Cheeto Benito is a rapist. Cornette is a lot, but not that. And the only funny thing about Orange Julius Caesar is knowing that he shits his pants while golfing and being an addled, stupid, racist.

Well, not just McMahon. Unless I'm unaware of AEW, Impact, and ROH wrestlers being employees with benefits and 401ks.

But, but... his new music and clothes! I was under the impression that Lee was RUINED! Wasted!

Lenny is awesome. They did a two parter on him on the Crime In Sports podcast, (which I highly recommend. It's hilarious ) And he contacted them and was like, "Yep. I did all that." And he's been a guest on the show since.

Exactly. I personally can't enjoy any wrestling without actual crowds. It just doesn't work for me. But, I can't fathom why anyone would feel the need to call out anyone on just trying to have some fun and watch TV. What's the end game? Why?

Ummmmm...where? The only time I've heard this kind of thing was when many Republicans and conservatives tried to say racism was over because Obama was elected. Which was just so they could be racist and have an excuse. Now, there was a period of time back then where comics and DJ's were doing bits that were pushing the envelope and often crossed the line. And just like any type of comedy, only really talented folks pulled it off. And Indy wrestlers definitely aren't talented enough. That being said, I struggle with punishing people for some dumb bit they did a long time ago. It definitely should be judged on a case by case basis. I think Excalibur should apologize and that should be the end of it.

Y'know, speculating who may or may not be a racist based on where someone was raised, if they served in the military, or their financial status is weak fucking sauce. My father is white, 82, born and raised in Kentucky, and served in two branches of the military. He and my Mom are the reason why my sister and I knew that racism, sexism, and homaphobia were wrong and that we should never put up with it.

Arn saying that he didn't take advantage of stock options while he was working for WWE because he didn't understand it breaks my heart. Maybe if he had he wouldn't be doing a Coach John Tolos gimmick that sucks.

Comics can embrace online distribution. It'll kill the comic book shop business worse than the fall of the 90's boom. edit: But to be honest, I feel the same way about reading comics on a screen as I do watching wrestling without a crowd. Even if I hated a crowd's reactions or lack of reactions, or chants that are about getting themselves over... a crowd is essential. The crowd is part of the show, for better or worse.

I myself am not watching any new wrestling with no audience, be it WWE or AEW. When things get back to a semblance of normalcy I'll start watching again. But to me it's like watching a stand up tell jokes to an empty club. It doesn't work.
