The fact that there are people out there who dig what you do is far cooler than numbers of listeners.

Because that's not entertaining. Think about Ricky Morton. He'd sell that he was getting murdered for a long time before he'd finally get that hot tag to Robert. Then Robert comes in, the heels both run in and Ricky is right back in there helping to fight them off . A lot of it is about selling pain in the moment.
