Unaware? Most of us watched her entire career in real time.

The fact still remains her best match ever doesn't even hit 4 stars. How can that get someone onto a greatest wrestler ever list?

That's fair and I can see someone preferring Eaton. However Bret not being able to work a throwaway TV match doesn't matter to me. Bret's case is built on how he performs in big matches and I really think he is one of the best at those. From a logically, storytelling way. That always includes insanely great selling. I don't think too many people's matches have so much thought and purpose behind them with such great finishes. Eaton beats Bret in a lot of categories, it's just not the categories that matter to me.
  4. My ballot is fine, but will only get better as we get closer to the date. This is a snapshot, so it really could end any time and I'd make a list.

Everything is factored in, but the original statement was that Eaton was better at throwaway matches than Bret, so how is Bret better?

I really liked him in 2000 calling Stampede. I still have no faith that there can be good WWE commentary with Vince around.
  7. His performances in matches is generally amazing. Being great in a match is not enough?
  8. Any examples? Sorry only just seen this. From memory there was a tone of him feeling as though he was held back at certain points in his career and that he could have been used better to garner a bigger Spanish audience. That's not bitter, that is an accurate statement by him.
  9. Toronto! LA Park & Pentagon Jr. vs Mike Bailey & Chris Hero (No Holds Barred) Kongo Kong vs Sami Callihan Zack Sabre Jr. vs Scotty O'Shea Cherry Bomb vs Cheerleader Melissa Dalton Castle vs TARIK Luke Gallows & Chase Owens vs Super Smash Brothers Brent Banks vs Timothy Thatcher Pepper Parks vs Drew Galloway Something like that. It would cost a bit of money, but not insane due to using a bunch of local talent. By the way that Hero/Bailey vs Park/Pentagon match is something I have been wanting to see for a long while now.

This exact same card with different booking and history could be really good. Some really good wrestlers in good pairings. However, the booking is shitty and the product is so stale, that I have no hopes for this at all.

I'm not going to judge people on how they work throwaway TV matches. Sure that is part of the package, but where is an Eaton's single's match that comes close to a top 10 Bret single's match?
  13. I demand a live watch of the Raw Brawl for a January episode!

Just watched the Super Dragon match for the first time. Between that match and the Joe match, that's an impressive 1-2 matches for anyone. He certainly was a great brawler and a master of chaotic brawls. I don't like death matches, so that hurts him for a list by me. I really need more regular type Butcher matches to watch.
  15. Easily. It gets even worse throughout the match too. He knew it too, since it was a one match thing.

I'm starting to feel that way as well. You can make a case for Negro Casas as top ten in the world for at least 25 years. Does anybody else have that kind of longevity? I have never watched Negro Casas and thought nothing but good thoughts. The man is insanely charismatic, is a great rudo, a great technico, can brawl, can mat wrestle, can bring the emotion, has great offense and amazing selling. Even as a super old dude in 2015, he can still do great matches when given the chance in a long singles. I think after my last week of watching it is down to a Casas-Hansen battle for number one.

When can we get to the point where the WWE starts making fun of their old stars and talks up their current guys as the big thing?

Cena and Taker only was exciting, because Cena was the only one who people though could end the streak.

The only thing that could be of intrigue is Brock facing someone new in a big match. Maybe Brock-Ambrose or Brock-Rusev or Brock-Owens. Outside of that, I think I have seen every single combination of match up.

Seriously? Valentine > Morton Gibson > Beefcake This is a no brainer.
  22. Not following you... Old joke. Jim Ross used to screw their names up on commentary during the early 2000's.
  23. There is a pretty decent Patera and Billy Jack Haynes vs Demolition match in late 87.

The same Bruno character, but Puerto Rican and a way better worker. People use a poor man's ___ all the time, so not much of a leap.
  25. I'm sorry. I wish you the best with the medical treatments.
