Trish was way better than she should had been. If she came into AJW she maybe could had become a worker that could put out those 4 star matches. However, the handicap and quality of opposition was there and she never got to that level.

Yeah, that's true. I didn't mean to say that is all Benoit was about, just that is kind of what he spawned and some of the things he favoured. There is a lot of nuisance out there and really Benoit is not the extreme like say Davey Richards is. Neither is Lawler the extreme other end. Wrestling is at it's best when there is a mix of great action and great storytelling and selling.

I really think Benoit's influence on the business is a root for a lot of people's hate of modern wrestling. The go-go-go style, no selling in favour of more spots, all action and no substance. I think if more current wrestlers followed Lawler or Bret instead of Benoit the wrestling world would be a lot more enjoyable to a huge segment of the audience. For example, I doubt PWG would exist without Benoit.

Benoit is the link there. He brings out the best in people in an attempt to have a crazy fast paced exciting, but not logical and great match.

Little Tokyo is a legit top 25 favourite of mine.

Clear? Terry Funk and Jerry Lawler would still be in quite the battle.

As long as nobody is voting for people that there is no footage of, I am ok. Question, does that mean that Onita is going to be number one? If he gets bonus points, plus is one of the greatest promos ever?

It was left vague so that people would make their own criteria. The problem I have with including promos is that it completely handicaps anybody who doesn't speak english. That does not seem like a fair criteria to use. I am judging on inside the ring actions. Charisma plays into that, because charisma plays into matches. Things like drawing and how big of a star someone is will play into everybody lists, at least indirectly. If you are a star, there is more footage, you have bigger matches, you have louder crowds, etc... Really the spirit is in the ring of this project, just like if you are making a greatest actors ever list you wouldn't give put Chris Pratt number one because he was in the largest grossing movie ever.

Watch stuff of his from the last 5 years. Still freaking great and may be your favourite modern wrestler.

Am I wrong thinking that this segment freaking ruled and between this and WWIII I was super psyched to see a Hogan-Piper match in 1996? Heck even rewatching this stuff like 5 years ago those two segments did a really great job of wanting me to see a match that I knew would suck.

Hell no, but I have to admit I had a soft spot for him when I was a kid. To be nominated you need three matches reviewed. Anyone can start a thread in the microscope section though and talk about him until their heart's are content.

Wow so I try really hard to not make gay jokes or insults because for 1 I was pretty sure one Admin was gay, and 2 because it's wrong I don't wanna perpetuate that(and I have been tested immensely this week too believe me). And thats how I get cut up for not liking an overrated match, as gay. And that's the whole thing when you make fun of someone calling them gay, then you kinda make a joke of some people lives. Maybe I'm more progressive on this issue than women. But thank you Jimmy for laying down exactly which opinions are factual. . Wasn't a gay joke. You implied the only reason people like the Sasha match is due to attraction to her. That comment was just a reversal of that. The fact you have to try to not do gay jokes is not progressive, but pathetic. By the way, being a sexist does not make you progressive. God damn what world did you grow up in? Gay as a put down was normal for my generation growing up untill recently. And now I try not to because it was ingrained in me, in sports and shit. And really he says I want to fuck Roman and Brock that wss meant as insulting but it doesn't hurt me. Well maybe it does actually, and then you gotta pile on top saying I'm pathetic for trying to change? And you're perfect morally I bet without trying. Any non watcher of wrestling that saw that on TV would still think it was SEX and make similar judgments, especially women themselves would call them skanks out of jealousy or whatever. Why am I even talking about this, match was average at best with dudes, girls or Bruce Jenners wrestling. Wow. So when someone watches Bayley-Sasha they think of sex, but watching Roman-Brock they do not? Also I may gay jokes when I was a kid, now I am an adult and have grown up and realize how insanely stupid it is.

I'll throw out some ideas. Rumble: Still faces Bret, but Luger wins Rumble. Some point Luger turns heel and so at Mania it's heel Luger vs Diesel. Diesel vs Shawn could be at the first IYH instead of Mania. KOTR could be vs Sid here, after Sid turned on Shawn. Why not have babyface 1-2-3 Kid win the KOTR in an upset role? IYH2 could have Diesel/Shawn vs Sid/Bigelow (Million Dollar Corp.) SummerSlam Diesel goes over Kid, with Diesel playing quasy heel. IYH3 could have Diesel/Shawn vs Kid/Ramon. IYH4 could have the Diesel-Razor match finally with Razor being the heel turning on Kid for hogging the spotlight and maybe pinning Diesel at the last IYH. Survivor Series loses to Bret. Would this be better to get Diesel over? Not sure. Would it produce better matches? Hell yes!
