  1. Two days in and I can find time to watch and write some thoughts on one match a day, easy!
  2. I have heard about this, but never saw it. Wrestling 365! They probably should had ran this on PPV with different booking of course. This would had been a bigger draw than that debacle at Fall Brawl. I understand Bischoff cared more about ratings than buyrates as a TV company ran them, but this is free money given away. This turned into a pretty decent southern tag. Sting had a good shine, the heels double team, do a blind switch and cheat on a pretty good FIP sequence by Sting. I'm surprised Hogan & Bret were as good as a heel team as they were. The hot tag to Warrior was hot, as he was always good at that. Clothesline after clothesline. Warrior looks to finish off Bret, Hogan smacks from behind then we get the nWo run in to ruin everything. As the nWo beats down Sting & Warrior the whole ring fills with smoke and Warrior is thrown to the floor. Apparantly the nWo was stopping Warrior from disappearing by throwing him to the floor? Sting makes comeback with the bat and Warrior-Hogan brawl outside as the nWo runs away. This was actually a pretty decent match and not a horrible way to build to Warrior-Hogan. I'm surprised.
  3. http://placetobenation.com/this-week-in-wrestling-for-october-11-2015/ A couple of days late and one man short, This Week in Wrestling for October 11, 2015 is here. While Steven is enjoying Thanksgiving with the family, Pete and Johnny bring you your weekly current wrestling podcast fix. In the first fall (3:43) the boys dive into NWA Classics looking at Gino Hernandez vs Harley Race. The second fall (16:14) goes international as Pete talks Revolution Pro from the UK. In the final fall (24:39) Pete and Johnny break down the WWE. From Raw to NXT to the Network specials it’s all here.
  4. 97 the WWF would had been in big trouble, since international and Canada were heavily relied on for touring and Bret was the top draw there.
  5. Happy Thanksgiving, enjoy Raw. Probably filled with Indian-Pilgrim food fights and all that jazz.
  6. Yes, that might do it. Will be rewatching soon with that in mind.
  7. It's the day one of the trial version of Wrestling 365, so here we go. This starts off with a super intense collar and elbow tie up which I always love. The focus for Ole is the ribs with punches, knees, etc.. Ricky kept trying to fight him off, but Ole was focused. The crowd was super crazy too. What does Ricky do to counter, he goes after Ole's ribs! Yes we have a rib battle with no Abdullah in sight. They have a commercial and they come back and Ole is in charge. Never a fan of that, I like seeing the transitions. Although back from break Ole is going after the nose they broke on Ricky over the summer. Ole's tossing of Ricky into the turnbuckle nose first as one of the best I have ever seen. Ricky makes the comeback, gets a few nearfalls and then Ole regains control going after the ribs again. Just great pro-wrestling. The punching fest between these two was great here and this crowd. Did I mention the crowd? There is some back and forth action as Ricky out hearts Ole and then Ole outsmarts Ricky. A crossbody by Ricky could had been the end, but Arn jumped in for the DQ. Double Gourdbuster by the Andersons brings out Dusty and some elbows. Arn drags Ricky to the floor and rubs his nose on the concrete. Just brutal. Tully out too and now Dusty is double teamed too.Magnum finally comes out and the Horsemen leave. Dillon and Horsemen promo after. Morton done. Dusty done. Magnum is next. This match was freaking great even if it was short, but the angle afterwards was even better. This is the perfect kind of segment. Everybody should watch.
  8. I will dedicate to watch at minimum one match each day in this project!
  9. That is why I made this post. You have watched a lot or you wouldn't be here. We all have gaps, watch the wrestling you want. It's not going to be perfect, but a snapshot of your current viewing.
  10. Why not keep up a dummy promotion and just have the roster there, but you just don't get the results?
  11. Awesome. It can't be worse than my list. True. Your list will be the worst. Lawler number 2 is not soo bad.
  12. I appreciate the concern, but I am out. My friend time is super limited lately and there is other projects that are being left behind that are more important. I enjoyed this for what it was, but that time is over.
  13. That isn't what killed me. I was behind before the expansion.
  14. I, Jack Tunney, tried to throw myself into my work after the death of my brother Frank the greatest promoter of all-time. Maple Leaf Wrestling was a wonderful promotion and it was about to show the whole world that at the second grandest stage there is in MSG. However, life is hard for Jack Tunney. My other job, my wife and other projects are taking up a lot of my time and I feel I can not go on. A lot of my favourite working partners have retired as well, from Don Owen, Vince McMahon Sr. to my good Georgia friend. The fun seems to be sucked out of promoting. Since the IWF is closing shop, let me lay down the plans that were in works. The best wrestler in the world Rick Martel was injured by Greg Valentine and was gone to Puerto Rico for two months to recover. During that time, Martel's partner and good friend Tony Garea was to stand up to Valentine to defend his injured and probably retired friend. That would lead to a hair match in November where Valentine would shave Garea's head bald. Also during that Grey Cup weekend November show Choshu would lose his title to Rocky Johnson who would carry the banner for a long while. That time frame would see the return of Martel to start the epic Valentine-Martel feud that would go on to Canada Day (July 1, 1984) where Martel would end this bloody feud by shaving Valentine bald. Martel would transition back to the Title, while Valentine would be traded off to another promotion for another heel or move into secondary title or tag titles. Epic times were ahead, but now the times have changed. Either someone can take over the great IWF and continue along those lines or MSG, Spectrum, Boston Garden, Maple Leaf Gardens and this hugely great talent pool can be split up. I hope to see great shows in Maple Leaf Gardens soon with whatever happens, but Jack Tunney is no longer able to continue.
  15. That's a noble goal, but it's almost impossible. It's like setting yourself up for failure. What what you can, everybody will have gaps.
  16. Oh man, I prefer Kawada to Misawa and Jumbo to Tenryu. So yeah, like a blind pepsi challenge it really depends on the type.
  17. Awesome. It can't be worse than my list.
  18. If Mistico can regain some of his former drawing magic imagine doing an anniversary show between Mistico-Atlantis for the mask?
  19. If I got all the CHVs I would be super happy. If you start throwing in arena shows from WWF and everywhere else I would be the happiest. I can't imagine that is too hard.
  20. We talked about this on the Andre snapshot on the Pro-Wrestling Super Show about a year ago. Such a fun and ridiculous clip. Andre in King Fu, that is so awesome.
  21. I'm so busy and writing the TV shows is taking up too much time to do well. If somebody wants to come in and help me out that would be awesome.
  22. I've seen a few posts where people don't feel qualified to submit a ballot. They haven't seen this style or that era and feel like they would be doing the process an injustice. To those people, if you have been engaged in this process at all, if you are watching footage, then please put in a ballot As we have seen from the WON HOF threads, that even people who are supposed to be experts are putting out lists that get questioned. If you don't have lucha, puro, shoot style, whatever it's all good. Someone else will not have your favourites on their list too. This list is not supposed to be definitive. It is not supposed to be an all-time list that we look back at forever as The List. It's just a snapshot to follow up the snapshot done in 2006. How have things changed in the last ten years? Well, we can see. Then in 2026 this should be redone and we can all think about updating our lists. All I am saying is, if you are interested at all, please put together a top 100 list (and maybe a top 25 tag team list) and send it in by WrestleMania 2016. We still have about 6 months. If you don't like a style, then ignore that style. If you love a certain style, then favour that style. It's all about the journey and the discussion and it's in no way a quiz on you as a wrestling fan.

Steal any segment/match or whatever from anything that is televised on IWF. From TV or Maple Leaf Gardens, Spectrum or MSG shows.
  24. Grimmas replied to Coffey's topic in WWE
I loved when Bayley hugged Sasha in the middle of the match and then Sasha used it to her advantage. Awesome spot.

What was great about Sasha being such a hated heel to Izzy was that she lost in the end.
