  1. I think they can have all of that and it being really great, but don't over do it on the kayfabe breaking stuff. They explained it away well with Sasha, but every match can not be that.

I got to say that main event was great. Sure it was the third best Sasha title match this year, but those matches are so high end you can not expect that level every time out. I liked the early portion of both going for different things, until they figured out a strategy that worked. It was a 30 minute match so they were trying for the quick falls. Once Bayley started getting thrown into the steps this thing got pretty heated in a great way. Loved the countout finish. One real flaw to me was the tapout with 2 seconds left when the crowd was counting down. Sasha should had held on for a tie. I'd still give it **** 1/4 which blows away just about any WWE special main event this year.
  3. I'm done.
  4. Thanks Brad. It's a real fun atmosphere doing those. This is not a serious take on ECW like Where the Big Boys Play is on WCW.

Really I think Corey Graves is the best colour man they have had since Bobby Heenan.
  6. The 15/50 rule is insanely stupid when people are added on the ballot so early in their careers.
  7. I love that Charles has Bret-Austin from Survivor Series at 5 stars. I still think it's easily the best WWF match of the 90s.
  8. International Wrestling Federation October 7, 1983 at Agricultural Hall in Allentown, Pennsylvania TV Taping for Maple Leaf Wrestling and Wrestling Challenge 1. Leo Burke pinned The Nightmare at 7:32 in a semi-final round match in the IWF Canadian Title Tournament. 2. George "The Animal" Steele made Angelo Mosca Jr. submit at 2:25 with the elevated hammerlock. 3. Wahoo McDaniel pinned Alexis Smirnoff at 6:31. 4. "The Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff (w/ Don Carson) pinned Stephen Petipas at 9:31 in a semi-final match in the IWF Canadian Title Tournament. 5. Tiger Conway Jr. pinned Pete Doherty at 4:41. 6. Pedro Morales defeated Bobby Bass at 5:30 via disqualification when Chicky Starr and Cuban Assassin ran in. 7. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine (w/ Don Carson) defeated Dick Muroch at 14:02 via countout in a first round match in the IWF United States Title Tournament. 8. Rocky Johnson & Dick Murdoch defeated Harley Race & Evil Machine when Rocky pinned Machine at 16:30. Also on the show the guest of The Body Shop was NWA World Champion Harley Race.
  9. They need to fix this shit. Colon is a no brainer. Villano III is more deserving than almost anyone. I don't understand why a system exists where tenkoji is even on the ballot and others who should be in are being removed.
  10. ICW

We start the show with Billy Red Lyons introducing the new voice of the IWF Gorilla Monsoon. Lyons, Monsoon and Jesse Ventura explain the announcement that Jack Tunney made at Maple Leaf Gardens. That Maple Leaf Wrestling is going International and is now the International Wrestling Federation and will not only dominate Canada, but also the United States. Also at Maple Leaf Gardens, Riki Choshu defeated Rick Martel to win the former NWA Canadian Title which has been renamed the IWF Title. However, the IWF feel there should still be a Canadian Title, so the tournament for the IWF Canadian Title begins tonight and finishes at Maple Leaf Gardens on Thanksgiving night! 1. Cuban Assassin w/ Bobby Bass vs "Big" Stephen Petipas (IWF Canadian Title Tournament - First Round) After there brawls the last few months this match was intense. Assassin and Bass tried to cheat their way to victory, but Petipas was too much and finished Assassin off with a flying splash. Winner - Stephen Petipas at 7:24 to advance in the IWF Canadian Title Tournament Commercial #1 Billy Red Lyons lets us know that Rick Martel is seeing the specialist, but his leg seems badly injured. Rumour has it he may never wrestle again. Martel has said privately that he is unsure of his future, but his focus is on returning and gaining some revenge on Valentine. Commercial #2 2. Killer Khan vs Leo Burke (IWF Canadian Title Tournament - First Round) Leo had some brief offence, before Khan went to work. He was a destructive force busting Burke open. A really tough brawl, where Burke wouldn't give up. In the end Khan used a steel chair on Burke to get disqualified. Winner - Leo Burke via DQ @ 8:03 to advance in the IWF Canadian Title Tournament Commercial #3 Jesse "The Body" Ventura is ready on the set of The Body Shop with his bodyguard the Evil Machine. He makes this long introduction hyping up how great Riki Choshu is. After all his titles in Japan and him being the one to defeat Rick Martel for the IWF Title. He finally brings out Choshu. Choshu comes out with the IWF Title looking very smug. Ventura looks to ask him a question, but Dick Murdoch comes out. Murdoch has been dealing with the antics of Ventura here and in Japan Choshu has been a pain in his side. He points out that Choshu only beat Martel after he was beating down. He makes it clear he wants the title. Ventura tells him he doesn't deserve a shot, when Choshu hits a lariat from behind and knocks Murdoch down. Security rushes in and separates everyone. Commercial #4 Before the match Ventura says he will remove Dick Murdoch from the IWF once and for all! 3. Paul Christy & Gary Royal vs Bobby & Rudy Kay It's the debut of the Kay Brothers! Gorilla knows they were big stars in the east coast of Canada. They look impressive and take the fight to Christy & Royal who have shown promise according to Ventura. Kay brothers show some great double team moves and work well together. They get the victory when Bobby hits a huge powerslam on Christy for the win. Will the Kay Brothers look to challenge IWF Tag Team Champions Greg Valentine & Ivan Koloff in the future? Winners - Bobby & Rudy Kay @ 5:46 Commercial #5 Backstage Billy Red Lyons let's us know where we can see IWF on tour: October 3rd in Windsor, Ontario October 9th in Hamilton, Ontario and the big one at Maple Leaf Gardens on October 10th, Thanksgiving Night. Some nearfalls are traded, but when Wahoo chopped Carson, Valentine took his eye off the match which was a mistake as a sudden dropkick by Rocky knocked him out for the three count. Winner - Rocky Johnson @ 11:46 After the match Valentine went after Wahoo as security came to ringside to separate them.

So bummed I can't watch this live, because it's the Leafs opener. Will be watching immediately following the game, spoiler free. I think this show has amazing potential and it should be great.
  16. I use wrestlingdata.com
  17. Damn it. Pete Doherty the Duke of Dorchester.
  18. But then, why would you put the title on him? Or why wouldn't you find a way to hold up the belt? They did do a weird finish, that could had been a Dusty finish.
  19. The messenger matters in letting you know how much you should look into something before you accept it. If someone who works for Korman said the same thing you would do less research to confirm it than CM Punk saying the same thing.
  20. Well yeah, but still that would be a crazy day in history if Georgia and WWF were both replaced on TV.
  21. Two black saturdays in one day! With Southeast taking over WTBS and IWF taking over WWF timeslots.
  22. Updated with 2 new matches.
  23. What a stacked card. Bock Slaughter is insane
  24. I think that is the same deal I had with Bobby Bass. You get Cornette, but no pick in the first round of the draft. At least that was the Bass conditions.
