Stan Hansen
Too many great matches in AJPW! Damn narrowing to 74 is real hard with this company.

No. Every new company deserves a chance. I love new companies, there is so many opportunities to do things right. It's 2015, they want to be global, the internet is there. Netflix is around, youtube, twitter, instagram all of that new technology. The WWE is really shitty at utilizing everything. Hopefully GFW is smart enough to take advantage of this stuff.

Your ***** & **** 3/4 Matches
Parv had this idea on the last AJ Excite Series and I thought it was pretty neat. So, here is a thread to list your 5 and 4 3/4 star matches. You can come back and edit as you discover more. It will be neat to see what people have as bench marks and what trends come out of this.

Your Top Texans & Cowboys
None are nominated. Are they worthy for a top 100 GWE spot? I can't see a case for any of them. You're probably right. I just didn't want to be presumptuous. Feel free to nominate them, if you want to watch the footage.

David isn't nominated. James Storm is a guy from TNA. Parv I think you need to watch more Mark Henry.

Completely. Then add in the Canadians (listen to the last Wrestling Culture). Hopefully some more diversify as well. I would love this promotion to represent the whole world, not just white America. It seems to be off to a decent start.

Your Top Texans & Cowboys
At this point in time I would go with this ranking: 1. Stan Hansen 2. Terry Funk 3. Dustin Rhodes 4. Barry Windham 5. Steve Austin 6. Tully Blanchard 7. Tito Santana 8. Ted DiBiase 9. Mark Henry 10. Dick Murdoch 11. Kerry Von Erich 12. Dutch Mantell 13. Dory Funk jr. 14. Dusty Rhodes 15. Kevin Von Erich 16. James Storm 17. Bob Orton Jr. 18. Bruiser Brody Obviously things are subject to change. I really need to watch some Dory, for example. However Hansen vs Funk is a struggle. They might be my 1-2. I will watch a lot more of them, it's a hard call.

TV tapings? Did they get TV? I love they that are finally going ahead with this and it could be awesome to have another promotion out there. We will see if the booking is actually decent though and how the presentation is. It's near that they are going the WCW vibe with just talent from everywhere, at least I hope that is what they are going for.

He worse a cowboy hat, poncho and had a cow whip!

Stan Hansen
I just watched the first two matches of the Colon-Hansen series and now I am eager to finish those off when I get home from work. The first time are just awesome bloody brawls. I've been going through Hansen in the 90's for the AJ Excite Series podcast and damn he is great there too. Every time I see Hansen wrestle I love it, even if the match isn't great. He just brings something special every time. I'm not ready to proclaim him GWE, but he's very much in contention.

Your Top Texans & Cowboys
We are a year out at this point, so I thought it was time to start looking at some categories and ranking those. I thought we'd start with the Texans. We have some prominent Texans here (Pete & Will at the least). I've always been a fan of the cowboy gimmick. From first seeing Ron Bass to being into Terry Funk, Stan Hansen, etc.. At this point, how do you rank them? Note: I included all the West Texas State guys and anyone who felt like a Texas guy (Dutch Mantell?) and a few Texans were left off because they didn't seem to fit (ie Eddie Guerrero). Nominees at this point: Barry Windham Bob Orton Jr. Bruiser Brody Dick Murdoch Dory Funk jr. Dustin Rhodes Dusty Rhodes Dutch Mantell James Storm Kerry Von Erich Kevin Von Erich Mark Henry Stan Hansen Steve Austin Ted DiBiase Terry Funk Tito Santana Tully Blanchard I may had missed some, but this is a great list. It could contain the battle of number one (Hansen vs Funk). What do you have and what are you thinking?

Flair's podcast (WOOOOONation)
Ok, I will try the Meltzer show and if he can't make that good then I don't know what to say.
-
Flair's podcast (WOOOOONation)
I would rather listen to Konnan or Taz and I don't listen to those shows. I've heard Flair do podcast, sit down interviews, pre-show spots, legends of wrestling and he has been horrible in all those settings.

WWE TV 5/4 - 5/10/15
This is the shit I don't understand. If a show gets real good it takes time for the ratings to grow. It's not a situation where one week is good and that week the ratings will be huge it's more gradual. If Vince had the same line of thinking that he has now in 97, the WWE would had been out of business.

Grimmas books WCCW in 1983
A question for the readers of this thread. Which way do you like to know what is going on with WCCW? Do you prefer the company newsletter version? The WON esque version or the me playing the game version? Also, would you like an update each week or every other or a more broad monthly report?

Chris Jericho vs. Matt Hardy
This is tough, because they both have gone from guys I enjoy to guys I haven't at points in their career. Early on you had juniors Jericho versus tag team Hardy. That's a tough call. Then you had heel versions of themselves, another tough call. Then you had lame versions holding on, which I don't give a shit about either. Then the re-invented themselves which was awesome. Jericho had more opportunities, so he had more better matches. However, for their performances I can be swayed either way. The edge slightly leaning towards Hardy, because he never seemed to do as many stupid things in the ring as Jericho did.

The FBI (Smothers & Guido)
How were these two not nominated before? Going through the ECW stuff this team is the highlight. Not only is it one of the most entertaining, heat getting & awesome gimmicks of all-time, but they also produced some of the best matches in ECW. Getting really good matches out of Meanie & Nova is a feat that deserves rewarding. Will they get on my list? Probably not, but I really hope they will fit. A great tag team.

King of the Ring 2015
Agreed. I'd be up for them to run a G1 style or Real World Tag Team style tourney on the Network in the same vein. It'll make me want to go to it and stay on it more than I already do. Definitely. I don't know if a Lethal Lottery/BattleBowl done by WWE in 2015 would be good......but it would be interesting and have me watching. A Japanese style tag tournament would be incredible and unlike anything WWE has booked in years bringing back KOTR, even if it was out of nowhere and kind of rushed and probably only happened due to Bryan being on the shelf, it gives me a bit of hope for the idea of "special events" that aren't PPVs being a thing they do more of on the Network YES! The Lethal Lottery! When I get home from work I will do random drawings and show how awesome this would be!
