AJ Lee Retires from "in-ring WWE competition"
What a shame this thread is. She was completely fine and was definitely an upgrade over some of the main diva stars that were before her. This is a girl who's dream was to be a WWE Women's Champion and when she whens the title at the height of her popularity, she is ridiculed for caring too much by the company. They treat her husband like she and he quits, even though he LOVED wrestling too. I'm sure AJ did not have the best working environment after Punk left either. This situation just shows how shitty the WWE really is, sometimes.

Grimmas books WCCW in 1983
Before the next update, I wanted to update everyone with the currents feuds. Number 1 is the classic Von Erichs and Freebirds. Still strolling along and is super hot with a B- heat. Next up is the awesome Spoiler and Rick Martel feud. They had a random match and their chemistry was amazing. I thought I would keep that coming and it has gone over well. The other two feuds are pretty new. One is The Rock'n'Rolls and The Poffos for that Tag Titles. The other is Tito & Steamboat versus Skandar Akbar's Kamala, Bundy & Gang. Martel will be added to that once The Spoiler feud ends. Last, but not least here is our top matches: There is a four-way tie for number one and they all involve the Von Erichs. 3 of the 4 are title changes too (only Terry-Kerry is not). That seems cool. Looking at this implies I should bring Flair back and I just may, he has helped out big time. The biggest surprise is the Rock'n'Rolls defeating Bill & Scott Irwin on TV. WTF?

Grimmas books WCCW in 1983
I made it to March of 1983 and things are looking good. I am now cult, although I didn't surpass any other companies as multiple are now cult. I have figured out some of my issues with how I ran things and there should be less issues moving forward. First thing I had to do was cut down my roster. It was freaking huge and people were getting pissed they were missing shows! Apparently you can't keep folks on retainer and use them once a month... I am down to a 34 man roster, with maybe a few jobbers added in later. Bruiser Brody? I have jobbed him to Kamala, fired his friends and treated him like crap. He is a locker room cancer and he won't quit and Fritz won't let me fire him. I guess I have to keep using him. He is good trade bait though. Titles are now in check. Greg Valentine has taken the Texas and American Titles. Kerry is the Brass Knuckles champion and I will build to a unification match on Independence Day to form the Triple Crown! The Trios Titles are with the Von Erichs for now, but I finally have a few units going. Von Erichs, Freebirds, Devastation Inc. (Bundy, Kamala and One Man Gang) and Strike Force (Tito, Martel & Ricky Steamboat). The Tag Titles are with the Rock 'n' Rolls with a lot of other teams battling around. Finding good chemistry seems to be key here. They currently are feuding with Randy Savage & Lanny Poffo. Finally Windham is still going strong as the TV Champion. He occasionally teams with his father. For schedule we are sticking with The Hour television show and with a monthly Sam Houston Coliseum and a monthly Wrestling Star Wars shows. The Star Wars has been in the San Jose Civic Auditorium the last two months and that seems to have helped out real well. The Holiday Star Wars shows are all there for later in the year. Let's run down how I am working with others. When I started it was all working or non-aggression pacts. Some things have changed. Working Agreements: All Japan AWA Central States Florida Georgia Mid-Atlantic New Japan Portland WWC WWF Non-Agression: All-Star Wrestling Maple Leaf At War: Southeastern Southwest So, Fritz is all buddy with Canada! Southwest & East is just made about talent stealing or running in their territory. I will crush them though. As I am looking at this, I can now offer written contracts? That should save some money, let's see who I can lock down. Here is a fun update for Kelly: Our new road agent to replace the fired Ken Mantell... yes it's DOMINIC! As for sad news: Hopefully that doesn't last too long. I will go back to weekly updates now on my quest to destroy Parv and take over the wrestling world with my World Class organization.

There was been no updates lately, because I wanted to play ahead to March. I was making a lot of mistakes, due to my unfamiliarity in the game. I wanted to play a bit without reporting anything to figure it out. However, in the meantime, World Class has gained cult status on Friday Week 4 of February 1983!

Kayfabe Brothers or Family Members
Stacy Kiebler, I assume. I'm moving to Dudleyville!

Dave Meltzer stuff
I'm not saying it's an all-time classic, just that it is a good match. My main point was that selling, psychology, story telling, timing, etc.. have always been what is the most important in wrestling. That has not changed, even if people advocate innovation.

My opinions are not supported by Will and Charles.

WWE: The Two Fanbases / Hot Crowds
A lot of it has to with history of great cards and a lack of bad booking their town.

Kayfabe Brothers or Family Members
My absolute favourite the Dudley Boyz, bar none! You could add anyone to that family and it worked. From Dances with Dudley to Big Dick Dudley they all had their charm. I love to picture Dudleyville where the whole town is related in some way or the other. D-Von running the church, Big Dick running the junkyard, etc... The real question is, what does Dudley Girlz look like?

Dave Meltzer stuff
No, people thought the match stunk at the time. That isn't a new notion. If there has been a change is that at least in some circles, there's a greater appreciation for match layout, psychology, selling and storytelling than there used to be, so even matches that lack speed and a diversity of offense get praised for what they do well, which I personally think is a good thing. Maybe some circles at the time thought it stunk, but it wasn't the generally consensus among fans. There isn't a change towards math layout, psychology and selling, those have ALWAYS been what makes a great wrestler. Even if a lot of people are sidetracked from that way of thinking, doesn't make it true.

Gimmick Shows
I am completely conflicted on these right now. On one hand I loved the Survivor Series and Lethal Lottery at the time. On the other hand, I hate Hell in a Cell, Elimination Chamber, TLC, Money in the Bank and Extreme Rules. I think the Rumble gets a free pass, because it is a once a year match to determine the main event of the biggest show of the year. While, the others are frustrating. TLC, Hell in a Cell & Extreme Rules are the laziest of bookings. These type of matches can be cool, when a feud calls for them. Knowing that it is October so it is time for the blow off to the biggest feud i the company, always feels forced. It is never the right time for these type of gimmick matches. Elimination Chamber & Money in the Bank are at least acceptable in the way that they are there to build up something for the future. The Chamber I might be cool with if it gives the #1 Contender for SummerSlam or something, but it's bullshit for the champion to defend the title in that type of match. MITB's gimmick is beyound stale and useless. It's just an excuse to not properly build someone up for the title and usually leads to depushing a guy in the future. Where do you guys stand?

2015 MOTY contenders
I loved everything about the match until Rollins showed up. 4 1/2 from me, due to that. The money in the bank gimmick is so played out and I think the finish of the show was a major cop out.

The match does not suck in a void. Watch it now, it's a good match with an insane crowd and it is really fun to watch. Hogan is great seller in the match and the lay out is perfect. This notion that the match stinks, seems to be the same notion that wrestling has changed and without speed and huge athletic spots it sucks.

Rusev
WWE is trying to present itself as a worldwide organization. Running territorial gimmicks that were aimed at a regional audience just further points out their hypocrisy. And there's nothing novel about the act either, especially for someone who's not from the US like myself. Pretty much everyone I know has cut at least several Lana-esque promos about how stupid americans are, which kind of diminishes her success. I don't know, it seems like every country is pretty against Russia right now. Heck, Canada has laid sanction after sanction on them. Imagine how over Rusev would be in Ukraine? Anyway, the thing that seems to be missed here is that being pro Russia is not all Rusev is about. He is a bad ass dude who throws everyone around and kicks them in the face and makes them submit. The only person who can beat him was Cena and Rusev has beat him in the past. Russia is the starting point with Rusev, not the whole point.

You do realize there is about 6 administrators too, it's not just Charles and Will? We all discussed this and sent in our feedback. Also, can some please tell me the appeal of leaving one off comments with no response on a discussion board? What is the purpose? If you aren't here to discuss wrestling, but are just here to make one off comments and read those then we have completely different views of what a discussion board should be. EDIT: The too many topics being discussed thing seems ridiculous, because they are all maintained on the front page. If there was so many topics that the discussion sections went through a couple of pages, I could see everyone's point.
