  1. About the Bushwhackers. There is no way a 2 year run as a jobber tag team made them more than 25 years as actual draws. That is insanity.
  2. It was difficult to listen too. The wins don't matter, Triple H is great, Bushwhackers were huge draws in the WWF bullshit was awful. There is a lot of people who are bad at podcasts, because they can't speak or stutter or whatever. This guy was great at talking, but was completely awful at making blanket statements with no proof. I know Will couldn't had just ripped him apart, because he is being nice and such. However, if I made those statements Will would had come unglued (because we are friends). It's a shame Phil Schneider wasn't on the show with him.
  3. Tweet WWE Network for technical issues please, instead of posting here.
  4. I can record an episode and once it is done have it edited and uploaded within an hour now. It used to take longer. Kelly explained the tools very well. All easy programs to use.

On the Top 100 matches on the Network I had to watch this garbage of a match and I hated it. Only Chad liked it.
  6. So much fun doing my two shows. I would love to hear the suicide rate on my first show and the estimated combined weight of my second show.
  7. Didn't you nominate Andre and DiBiase?

I have a theory that the Benoit matches really ended Angle's career (in terms of being good). Those matches were so crazy and awful and got such praise that he went even more and more into that style.
  9. Finally watched the Funks vs Abby/Sheik match that Parv praises so much thanks to the 5 matches you should watch for GWE's nominees thread. I loved the wild bloody brawling quality that this match had. This is the best I have ever seen Dory look, he showed so much emotion and it was great. The beard helped, I think. It was violent, but there is a Dudleys vs Balls & Spike match from 1999 that I liked better and felt more like the match Parv was describing. 4 1/4 stars from me, it was awesome but didn't reach any upper levels from me.
  10. At one point in the mid 2000's I thought this guy was going to be the greatest wrestler ever. I loved his charisma, his in ring ability and everything about him. What a sad story.
  11. I loved Caprice on commentator!
  12. http://placetobenation.com/pro-wrestling-super-show-ecw-november-to-remember-98-star-trek-ds9-wrestlemania-xxx-an-earthquake-match/ Hosts: Steven Graham & Glenn Butler \After a lame attempt at a discussion about WrestleMania XXX from two guys who haven’t watched the TV the Star Trek DS9 talk starts up. We look into ECW November to Remember ’98 and the re-book of WrestleMania project only to end the show watching an Earthquake match! Follow along at home:
  13. I can't wait, it will go into my new massive queue.
  14. Perhaps the best tag team of the last decade. Whether brawling, old school tags, or spot fests the Briscoes bring it everytime. This is the most modern team that has a shot of making my list.

Probably the best tag team of the late half of the 90's and early 2000's. In ECW they had amazing brawls (especially against Balls & Spike) and were real heat magnets. Doing that in ECW was quite impressive. Going into the WWE they had some insane high spot matches that list as all-timers for a lot of people. I enjoyed some of their TNA run as well. The Dudleys have an outside shot of making my list.

  17. I love these two as a team and especially watching their development from a strong bad ass team to cheating heels. Their double teaming is top notch. The fact they can be so dominant, yet feel like they are showing a lot of ass is also great. So many amazing matches against Misawa & ??? too. They may make my list.

Canada in general doesn't get nearly the amount of shows they used to and I gotta think that Carl DeMarco leaving was part of the Canada decline Did Canadian business ever take a significant downturn? After Bret left? After Owen died? After the Benoit murders? After Edge quit? It just seems odd that WWF/E world forsake what has generally been a super hot country where they always do good business. It always sells out and the crowds are always great. It really just comes down to them being hurt that the crowd cheered for the wrong people on past shows.
  19. Cena is the first ace that isn't the one drawing business, it is the WWE brand.
  20. This makes me sad - I am sure Grimmas, Kaufman316 and yourself could go and meet up at a SMASH show? I am probably going to be in Toronto for work purposes once a year and if timed correctly would love to go see a SMASH show with some of you guys. Musgrave too! PWO meet up at Smash in February! Welp, just reading this presently...for my part I could almost certainly make the April 26th show, which would even give me a buffer to catch up on Smash (much obliged for the recommendation too, Grimmas). Maybe we can figure out logistics elsewhere to see who can go to the March/April/May shows, ROH, etc.? I'll be at the May shows for ROH, both of them with Musgrave. PM me closer to the date.

The WWE is kind of anti-fun and fans. No Toronto PPVs since 2006. Yes that is 9 years ago now. Chicago, Philly, New York, LA all get a yearly PPV and Toronto (one of their hottest and most fun fans) haven't had one in 9 years. They run like one TV taping in Toronto every other year and a house show or two a year. What is the deal? Confiscate signs, kick out fans for dressing up, de-pushing the most loved wrestler, etc... Seriously what is going on? There is a real issue here.

I'm actually on the fence about Backlund, since I really haven't watched much of him in probably a decade. If the matches aren't compelling, then I agree with Parv. If it is just a match structure thing that Parv hates, that is a different story.
  23. Grimmas replied to Grimmas's topic in Nominees
But this is all true. Why should he pretend it's not? Backlund was a late 70's Goldberg. What is wrong with that?
