He was so over in 1994 though, I think he could had been the man. Just as a working man who does not take any shit. It worked for Steve Austin.
  2. I want to stay more on top of the nominated matches on WKO. It's been rough trying to cram in a year's worth of stuff into a quarter of the year. Make sure I continue on with the Wrestler Snapshot and focus on some guys I am less aware of. I'm currently rewatching all of the Royal Rumbles and doing a top 25 matches article. I want to continue that with other shows like the Clash of the Champions. Finish the lucha set, should be number one! I kind of want to rewatch the WWF in the 90's, at least everything of importance. This may be the one I don't do. Finally, more lucha.
  3. I received the old school Macho Man T-shirt. Best Christmas ever.

  5. I want to touch on your current WWE tag team point. Here would be the current teams: Champs: Rhodes Brothers 1 Real Americans 2 Big Show and Rey 3 The Shield 4 Wyatt Family 5 Usos 6 Mark Henry and Big E 7 Ryback and Axel 8 Prime Time Players 9 3MB 10 Los Matadores So they have a way better tag division now.
  6. It was hilarious you and Lars reaction. However, I loved Akeem, so there was that reaction too. The Twin Towers were a legit awesome tag team.
  7. Greatest news ever? Is that going to cover the current run or only go up to 2012?

This is what I had to say about the Savio Vega match. Goldust vs. Savio Vega for the Intercontinental Title – WWF Raw, April 22, 1996 Dustin continued on in WCW for a few more months, but was fired in March 1995 for blading on pay-per-view. From there he went to the WWF and debuted in September of 1995. He did not show up as “The Natural” we had learned to love, but as a brand new character called Goldust. Goldust, nicknamed “The Bizarre One” was a man dressed like the Oscar award who was obsessed with movies. He was also either gay or pretending to be to play mind games with his opponents. Goldust was so ahead of the times and drew so much heat, they had to tone it down after a few months and even give him a female valet (his wife Terri as Marlena). This is after he has been the I-C Champion and now it’s been tied up after a match with Savio Vega, the week prior. Here is the rematch to determine the true I-C Champ. This match is very basic. Savio Vega shines in the beginning. The middle is all Goldust working over the knee. The ending has Savio’s come back and almost win, however Marlena gets on the apron and distracts the referee leading to a roll up pin for Savio, however the referee doesn’t see it. Steve Austin (who had come to ringside earlier) hits Savio with the Million Dollar Title giving Goldust the win. Dustin playing the Goldust character is a little jarring after him as the natural babyface. His strength is selling and as a heel he has to be the one dishing out the punishment, so it takes something away. However, his taunts and the spot in the corner where he is doing the ten punches and ends it with a kiss are really awesome here. Final Rating: : ** ½

The Brock match is my match of the year.
  10. I would assume that Mistico would be perfect for the upcoming AAA US Show debuting in the spring.
  11. I rewatched the Angle-Benoit Rumble match and those German Suplexes killed me. Talk about overkill.
  12. I wrote a piece on Goldust a few weeks ago and I did watch a Savio Vega match from 1996. It was alright, but nothing special. The thing about Dustin is that he is a great babyface, so his early Goldust stuff run as a heel is working against his strengths. However, I recently watched his match against Vader from the 1998 Royal Rumble and had it at about ***1/2. There probably is more out there.
  13. Akeem and Slick were magic, I agree with that!
  14. Just started listening to this, but Don Muraco had a great Tombstone Piledriver too!
  15. Grimmas replied to Smack2k's topic in WWE
My predictions: I doubt this is what will happen, but I would enjoy this card Randy Orton vs. CM Punk for the Title Roman Reigns with The Shield in his corner vs. The Undertaker Batista & John Cena & Hulk Hogan vs. The Wyatt Family Daniel Bryan vs. Shawn Michaels Brock Lesnar vs. Ryback Goldust & Cody Rhodes vs. Mark Henry & Big E Langston for the Tag Titles Antonio Cesaro vs. Sheamus
  16. In 1998 we had a large group of friends over to watch every ppv. In 1999, they only came over for the big 4. In 2000, they all came over for every show.
  17. Grimmas replied to Smack2k's topic in WWE
So... Rumble win and Mania title win? Or a Streak match with the Undertaker. WWE put over Reigns particularly strongly on both Raw and Smackdown this week. He gave Punk his first TV loss since like February or something like that. I really think a Roman Reigns vs. The Undertaker match where The Shield are in the corner of Reigns is going to happen. You have Taker win and Reigns shakes his hand or something at the end of the match and then the Shield attack him turning him face.
  18. One year I wanted Will's Butch Reed set. I gave my parents all the information for them to order it for me. On Christmas Day I opened up an RF Video shoot interview with Butch Reed.
  19. What about Negro Casas, El Felino & Heavy Metal. That is a pretty great family there.
  20. Goldust has been tremendous since his return this year but didn't make the 2006-2013 cut. The criteria, as quoted in the magazine, is as follows: "FSM's 100 Greatest Wrestlers 2006-2013 was conceived to mark the date that FSM first hit the shelves, and our 100th issue. Consistent quality of matches in the period 2006-present was the main criteria, though this was not merely judged on workrate or technical skill, but instead incorporated performance on the biggest stage, ability to work the crowd, and quality of storylines." The main thing missing from that criteria, it seems, is that it is also based on the amount of coverage they got from the FSM itself.
  21. Outside of a really good piece Phil Schneider wrote and the occasional plug in the news section of Cassandro's Art festival shows in London the magazine doesn't really cover Lucha at all.
  22. Negro Casas is criminal low.
  23. TLC

I think if DVDR were still doing their 500's he'd be number one. For WKO though I'm not sure. He missed so much of the year.

Wow, that tag match was just awesome. That Goldust face in peril segment was my favourite face in peril segment all year, I think. None of the eliminations were rushed and it all flowed great. I loved this.
  25. For the younger generation of people who use netflix and hulu and don't have cable this will work very well.
