True Story of Wrestlemania DVD
The amount of lies they keep claiming are still disappointing. WM2 was so crazy, because it was done from 3 arenas. Something like that would be hard to do even today? Wasn't Starrcade going from 2 arenas before then? Also the crap about moving wrestling from smoke filled bars to the big time is so annoying, when WM is at MSG, where the WWF had been running at since the 70's.

Gabe vs The Torch on Dragon Gate USA
I always heard that guys were booking their own stuff in ROH, and yet everyone lost that ability for some reason when Pearce took over. Maybe because Pearce wanted to book like ROH was a 70s NWA territory? Pearce said on Colt's podcast that he has no idea what 70's wrestling is and has no idea where that rumour came from.

Best of RAW 2010 DVD
No Miz-Lawler TLC? That is crazy.

Ridiculous quotes from WO.com columnists
Its amazing that I have watched longer and seen more of a variety than either of those two. I cringe anytime they start talking about the 80's. I only just turned 30 and I thought Bryan was older than me.

Ridiculous quotes from WO.com columnists
All I know is that my high school friends and I started ordering WWF ppvs in 1998 and ordered almost every single one. In 1999 we only ordered WrestleMania and SummerSlam, but in 2000 we ordered every single show. '99 was brutal. If they didn't have The Rock and Austin to save most of the shit it would had been the worst year ever.

Acknowledgement of wrestling history
I was watching a house show from '87 where Adonis was wrestling and Gorilla mentioned that he was a former WWF Tag Team Champion with Jesse Ventura. Thats is acknowledging some kind of history, even though its a weird twist.

How was he wimpy? He had the choice of losing the match or being fired. How is choosing not to be fired a wimpy choice?

You really believe that? If someone sends in a report it will be in the Observer, its that simple.

Dave Meltzer stuff
On the Bryan and Vinny show they reviewed Cena-HBK vs. Taker-Batista from No Way Out 2007 and claimed that Cena was horrendous in 2007 and he most likely got way better over the last three years from working with HBK. 2007 was Cena's best year, from what I recall, wasn't it?

Jay Lethal as Ric Flair
After beating Flair at the ppv and thinking that TNA might actually be making a star, Jay Lethal This company is clueless.

On the Brian & Vinny Show, Brian mentioned how Todd Martin also finds the silver lining. Is he for real?

I'd have to go back and re-watch some stuff, but I remember really liking all of them. I forget which Judo (Martial Arts) match I liked the best. I think its the one where Muraco gets pissed that Steamboat takes the white coat, leaving Muraco to take the black one. Not the MSG one, but they had many and I forgot which. I believe the other one that really stood out was a Toronto match (I believe) that was very bloody. I haven't watched the whole series in years though. It may be my major Muraco-markdom that over-rates those matches, but I do love the bloody slow hatred matches that they had.

Ugh. I really didn't think the Orton match was all that great, and I've yet to see a watchable Steamer-Muraco match. Then you need to watch more Muraco-Steamboat matches because they are awesome. One of the best series of matches the WWF did during the 80's. I've never seen this particular match, but the rest of the series is so strong I can't imagine this not being really good. Especially when the prior month's MLG match being really good.

Dixie Carter screws up, makes TNA look desperate in pointless plea, and could get them and Spike TV in trouble
Sorry double post.

Scott D'Amore was pretty good in 2005. Ian Rotten? IWA-MS had some good shows, he couldn't be worse than Russo. The guy behind JAPW? Any old school wrestler that recently retired and is someway up on current trends. Maybe Raven? I don't know. Anyone is going to be better than Russo.

I've said the same thing about Christian for awhile.

The interesting Dave Meltzer posts thread
How can you say this? Wasn't he the first ever triple crown champion in wwe? First ever grand slam champion? Triple crown - intercontinental, world and tag champ grand slam - intercontinental, world, european and tag champ Pedro Morales and Bret Hart both won the triple crown before Shawn.

Because only the top couple matches on the show draw, so why care about the undercard guys. I believe that is their philosophy.

What's Your Wrestling Story?
I was lurking the TOA board recently and saw variations of this same post in a couple of threads. It's always intrigued me how people got into wrestling and how they've maintained that interest. Using the who, what, when, where and why format, tell your wrestling story. Who got you interested? What initially drew your interest and kept it? How old were you? Where did you live/attend first show/watch first TV episode? Why did you like and continue to like wrestling (or why not)? Use Etc. at the end to fill in any gaps. Who: My sister. When you have a sibling who is four years older than you, you definately want to be cool like them. Of course, she gave up wrestling shortly after, while I stuck around to this day. However, she got back into it two years ago and watches whenever Cena is on. What: GLOW! Like I said, it was with my sister. She'd get my dad to tape GLOW and watch it the next day. I'd watch with her and that was my start into watching pro-wrestling. I don't really remember anything from GLOW, but it was the gateway that allowed me to see the WWF and the Islanders stealing Matilda, which got me hooked. Format: Videotape, because GLOW was on too late.
