This has to be leading somewhere doesn't it? Doesn't Jericho have to either win the Royal Rumble or win the Tag Titles back? Otherwise, what was the point of this?

Linda McMahon for Senate catch-all thread
So that means nobody has high levels of power, because Vince can veto things?

Rumours that Bret Hart might return to the WWE...
Since Bret has signed on through WrestleMania, it would mean the later.

Ridiculous quotes from WO.com columnists
I thought Bryan didn't follow sports and actually hated them, outside of MMA? That would explain it.

Yeah, and we would love to see Roger Ebert direct movies and music critics produce albums.... Being a reviewer does not mean they think they could do it better.

The interesting Dave Meltzer posts thread
Of course star power and aura should be inlcuding in discussing how good a match is. If Cena and Taker do the exact same match as Abyss and Joey Ryan, which match is better. Even if it is move for move the same, Cena and Taker just would make the match cooler to watch. Just like having an insane crowd makes a match better than having a shitty crowd. If that wasn't counted, then Rock-Hogan from WM18 would not be remembered at all.

Come on it's a Roast! That isn't a stupid thing to write. I've never been to a roast, but if it is making fun of things like people's diseases then I wouldn't find it funny either. It is a stupid thing to write. If you were invited to a roast, wouldn't you (I dunno) find out how a roast worked before hand? Foley's part yes, but Meltzer's no. He said he's never been to one and if that is what they are like he wouldn't like it.

Guest Booker with Jim Cornette
I don't think he realized Mick was retired at the time.

Guest Booker with Jim Cornette
Actually I watched this and he stated he wanted to do something with Hall/Nash, but Hall wasn't on the roster of WCW at the time, so he couldn't. Also, Cornette did this in 4 hours for fun, its not as if he was really booking he wouldn't had put a LOT more work into it and made it so much better.

Yeah, Punk in a suit is out of character. It's not as if he is Ric Flair or somebody.

2009 WON HOF thread
Why isn't Goldberg on the ballot? He was an insane draw, albeit for a short period. Isn't he a better candidate than Kurt Angle, who is already in?

I'm looking at what the promotion viewed. Between Hogan and Luger the fans would view Bret as #1. But Vince didn't intend for that to last. Then why was Bret vs Hogan the original plan for SummerSlam? Also, why did Bret win the King of the Ring?

Who Is Better?
Absolutely. They elevated a new crop of main eventers, made the best use of the talent they had available at the time, wrote engaging feuds (Austin-McMahon, DX-Nation) and built to PPV main events that people paid to see. It wasn't a great time for in-ring, but they did everything business-wise that a booking team should do. In 2000? Besdies WM2000 there were a LOT of awesome matches during that period.

Who Is Better?
If he was still Rey Jr. from 95/96 he would be in a wheelchair for life.

Who Is Better?
What I really don't get about a statement like that is that someone could find something like late 80's WWF better than 04-07 WWE. I understand people are in to different things but week in - week out quality wise, I can't think of any argument for late 80's over ANY year this decade in WWE. As shitty as old WWF is, my favourite show ever is Survivor Series 1989. Its all about awesome characters interacting, that makes it amazing.

Who Is Better?
Who is Better, Jeff Hardy or Lex Luger? That is a tough one, b/c I hate spot matches, but Luger also got soo boring later in his career. If I was go prime vs prime, I'd go with Jeff Hardy. Purely for the run that Dylan Waco mentioned. Who is Better, Jeff Jarrett or Kurt Angle? Jeff Jarrett, easily. Angle never really got wrestling which always lead to stupid stuff. Jarrett freaking had awesome matches with beat down Raven. Who is Better, Dean Malenko or Chris Candido? Candido, Malenko was also a little too boring for me. Although when he teamed up with Benoit in WCW, he was freaking awesome.

Should we feel bad for Christian?
If that was true then why did Matt Hardy fight so hard against Kozlov to get Jeff Hardy to get into that Armageddon title match?

Most "natural" wrestlers
Bret Hart seemed to be pretty good from the beginning.

The Wade Keller Appreciation Thread
From May 2007, Wade gives star ratings to UFC Fights? I have never seen this discussed before, but I must have missed it.

ROH scaling back
I downloaded the PPV everybody was talking about. Driven? Anyway, made me realize I was right when I stopped watching ROH.

Jericho's return ...
I think I may be the only one who enjoyed this. Orton's beaten everybody and been a jerk, and now Jericho has returned to save the WWE from him. I got hyped for an Orton-Jericho match, heard a bunch of catch phrases I hadn't heard in a while and say a marathon runner clotheslined, what is not to love? The worst comments on DVDR is the ones making fun of him for not being huge on roids.

I really enjoy listening to Gorilla, but I don't think he did so much to add to matches. Jim Ross blows him away, as stated before. Heck, I'd take Lance Russel before him too.
