  1. Ryback vs Punk. Killed any chance of Ryback as a star.
  2. Can the consolation be that I have an Earthquake figure on my desk at work? Very small, but that is awesome!
  3. Disgusting that there was a whole podcast on fat wrestlers and Earthquake was not mentioned. A shame on Tim, Sam, and JR Goldman.
  4. I think it's more likely Meltzer just likes shitty wrestling than he was on the take.
  5. What do you get from the observer nowadays? The Alvarez pods suck. The board is a crime. Is the Newsletter really worth it? I don't care about newz, so obviously not for me, but are there those that care or is more of a habit now?
  6. I only half run my own podcast. Got something together last minute and some people got to gush about Strowman. I felt dumb a lot of the time but I'm okay if it gives some others some time to GUSH about graps. I've got any other week Also, we've started lining up the FKAABT (Formerly Known As Always Bury Tanners) for 2016. Will be recording the week of prior to Christmas. If you didn't listen to last year's I would recommend it. Downloading now.
  7. I don't think finishers is the issue. Hogan matches and WWF in the 80s matches had lots of drama and heat and NEVER ended without the finisher. To me, it's more that finishers are kicked out of too much. Cena hits an Attitude Adjustment there is no drama, because people kick out of it all the time.
  8. Thanks. My internet in my new place was just installed, so that will help. Although Holiday times running a store make things difficult.
  9. Actually great show.. only drawback was Sam didn't say much. Sam makes the show more awesome, so more Sam please!
  10. Can't tell if serious... Sarcasm or legit?
  11. I would just tweet music lyrics.
  12. No internet at my place till tomorrow. Wanted this for my bus ride home from work tonight and it made me go over data! This pod better be worth the ten bucks I paid for it!

Style Battle is a new promotion, run by Gabe, starting up on FloSlam. It will run in seasons with 9 shows monthly. The first 8 shows will be tournaments with the 9th being a tournament with the winner of each of the prior ones in it. This idea of a promotion is something I've brought up in PMs and with talks with people for almost a year of something I wanted to see. A promotion run like early UFCs. I'm so pumped!
  14. The 10 chant has Yes potential. He can work it into the match, it's super easy to do and fun. Plus Tye is very likable and really deserves this. I may be biased, since I saw him work as an almost rookie all the time.
  15. Did Meltzer provide a possible timeline for Tye Dillinger's call up? Not that I am aware of. Sorry to the people who hated the ten chants through out the shows all weekend, but it looks like they may be here to stay. Probably not for long unless they start running in Toronto every month. I'm glad you deem that Tye will not be over outside of Toronto or Full Sail or Brooklyn.

  17. By the way, Meltzer is saying that Tye Dillinger is getting a call up. Mission accomplished Toronto!
  18. Fair enough. All I can tell you is that the arena popped huge. People were either super happy or in complete shock. Heck, I even gave Musgrave a big hug out of joy. It worked there, sure there were some pissed people, but that was by far the minority.
  19. and yet people went nuts when Mike Tyson did that shit You mean quick knockouts? That's a bad comparison, because people inherently understand that a real sporting event doesn't have a controlled ending. And in fact, fans wanted to see Tyson destroy his opponents in short order. That was his brand. If you're suggesting that's what we generally look for from wrestling main events, that's nonsense. That's what we look for in Goldberg matches though.
  20. 5 stars!! Goldberg chants were going on before the show started. They were going on during Brock's entrance. It was magically being in the building. EDIT: Not really 5 stars, but damn it was awesome. 3.5 sounds right, maybe?
  21. Agreed, but concerts are different. I think the thing forgotten, and why a lot of people were happy is that this match was a Goldberg match. Goldberg squashing Brock was him doing Born in the USA. If Goldberg and Brock did a 20 minute suplex heavy match, that would be more like a concert where Bruce played Backstreet Boys songs.
  22. Survivor Series and Take Over were insane. Take Over is one of the better shows I have seen and the tag was the best live match I've ever been to. The crowd was into EVERYTHING. Almost a perfect show. Survivor Series was odd. Especially odd being in a crowd where each match has heels and faces on the same team, so who do you cheer for? Outside of that, lots of fun moments including GOLDBERG!!!!!!!!!! Great weekend.
  23. People shiting on the crowd, well they were perfect for the main!
  24. Bless your positive outlook. I would have been furious if I'd bought a ticket for that show. It was a birthday present plus I am a Goldberg mark.
  25. Loved the main event!!! Goldberg!!
