[1998-03-05-WCW-Thunder] Interview: Raven
Raven not "trying too hard" with his promo made this okay. Tenay wasn't the right guy for this interview.

Lame band. Lame music. The debut of Reese before the actual debut of Reese.

[1998-03-02-WWF-Raw] Steve Austin vs Kane
A prime reason why WWF took over from WCW around this time. They both bait and switch, but WWF has something, in this case two somethings, come out of it. WCW would have just had a nWo beatdown and signed off. The kick to Austin was great, the Kane/Taker stuff was what it was. I still maintain that before the 10th bell that Taker's gong should have went off.

[1998-03-02-WWF-Raw] DX, Vince McMahon and Mike Tyson
In hindsight this build was tremendous. I didn't appreciate it enough as a guy just out of high school. Tremendously done.

[1998-03-01-ECW-Living Dangerously] Bam Bam Bigelow vs Taz
Yeah, Bigelow just isn't the right opponent for Taz. I only remembered two spots coming into this match since I last watched it and those were the suplex off the ramp where I am shocked Taz didn't get a concussion or broken neck, and the finish. Beyond that it didn't appeal to me. Just two oafs beating on each other in a lackluster way.

[1998-03-02-WWF-Raw] Gennifer Flowers promo
I like the idea as well. This interview is when I realized Rock was going to be a mega star.

[1998-02-23-WCW-Nitro] Scott Hall vs Sting
Big overblown cluster of a segment. Tease Sting/Scott Hall and get nothing except a thousand nWo members. Schiavone casually asking, "Hey, who's that guy?" in regards to the Disciple is a pure example of the wheels coming off.

Pete looked like a total doofus. The Austin package was fantastic.

[1998-02-23-WWF-Raw] Stardust vs Bradshaw
I wonder if they actually reached out to Dusty. This should of been the end of the Goldust pretends to be ... thing going on, but I don't think it was. Dustin was great here and JBL looked like a true ass kicker.

[1998-02-23-WWF-Raw] Interview: New Age Outlaws
NAO continue to get over with me all over again here. I have to question Road Dogg's thought process of putting his hands on the hood of the car while Funk had the "chainsaw" going. Anyway, a fun bit.

[1998-02-23-WWF-Raw] Interview: DX
The blonde was probably HBK's girl until Nash said, Hey, there is this Nitro girl.... Wouldn't be surprised if Hayes was behind this as it was reminiscent of the Freebirds after the Von Erichs turn.

[1998-02-22-WCW-Superbrawl VIII] Booker T vs Rick Martel / Booker T vs Perry Saturn
Guess I am in the minority as I enjoyed the Saturn match better. I give it a pass to all of the objections here because the story goes this was called completely on the fly. I took Saturn as just being out of control and doing moves in rapid fashion to attempt a quick win after all of his beginning pin attempts failed. Booker T did a great job in this entire thirty+ minute segment. Definitely an eye opener that he should have changed his attire and went main event. I may watch the Martel part again just to double check, but all in all these two matches are up there with Flair/Hart as the best of WCW this year.
