Awesome! I thought you would go for Rocky Brewer, and without Spike Huber or Doug Vines I would pair him up with Jeff Sword as Garfunkle and Oates. Instead , you got Vinnie Valentino, and I have the even better idea of teaming them up as Oscar & Felix. My booking is pretty much writing itself at this point.

My fault, CFCW ... they had been teaming together before this, they teamed after, but I didn't know at this particular time they were in different territories. My research was incomplete.

That's the downside of doing a draft with this particular bunch. You think you have your own secret brilliant pick, then find that there are half a dozen people in the draft who have the exact same idea.

So what were they thinking? What good is half of the Devil's Duo? The Devil's Single just doesn't have the same ring.

I'm for it, it's what I would have tried.

For crying out loud, how did anyone else want Doug Vines?

He was taken a while back, it was never updated on the list.

Case in point ... I could have used Korchenko, but it really doesn't hurt to lose him.

It broke my heart to lose Apocalypse, but at this point I have all of the specific slots filled. Everyone has a role I expect them to play. I am now at the point where I have some utility slots to fill. There are a few different types that can fill in those slots, but I am not particularly wedded to any one person filling that slot.

Nobody is too old and washed up for the AWA.

CFCW said I could take the next pick, so I am taking the venerable "Golden" Moose Cholak.

My reaction because I was 2 picks away from my dream line up ... then Trav grabbed Apocalypse. Yes, my dream lineup is now short one Mike Boyette.

By my calculations, we are going to run out of wrestlers by round 25 anyway.

I had been considering El Bracero, I had the choice of him and Van Camp (initially based on me mixing him up with El Corsario). Ultimately decided I just had too little information about Bracero and had a ready made plot line for Van Camp.

I was going to ask if Cocoa was the last Samoan left. Still surprised I was able to get Samu so late. When did Fatu start?

Question : can I use him as Lord Humongous? I know Van Camp didn't put on the Mask until a year later (according to Wikipedia), would i be able to use him in the gimmick early?

Pardee is coming up a few times on the AWA footage I am watching. Competent but unspectacular, the generic Create A Wrestler. "An empty cab pulled up, and Steve Pardee got out of it."
