Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Selland Arena, Fresno, May 19th Phoenix Rising (Toshiaki Kawada & Kensuke Sasaki) vs. The Southern Boys An exciting battle between two teams on an upswing that went to a 20 minute time limit draw. Dan Severn vs. Mark Starr Severn blocked Starr's attempts at a Heel Hook and was able to force him tap out to an STF. The Eagle vs. The Soultaker The big Soultaker defeated the masked man with the Exorcism (Spine Snapper Backbreaker) Steve Blackman vs. Phil Lafon These two had an exciting technical duel that went to Blackman when he caught Lafon off the ropes with the Running Bicycle Kick Louie Spicolli vs. Tony Atlas Atlas planted Spicolli with a piledriver and took the win Pacific Light Heavyweight Title Match : Eddie Guerrero © vs. Reno Riggins The night ended off with a closely contested title match. Guerrero was able to block an attempted Russian Legsweep from Riggins by grabbing the ropes, then got him to submit to the Lasso From El Paso .

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Cow Palace , San Francisco, on Pacific Super Cards on ESPN / TSN, May 18th Bam Bam Bigelow & Shinya Hashimoto vs. The Fighting Irish (Fit Finlay & Erin O'Grady) The unusual duo of Bigelow and Hashimoto faced off against the always pugnacious pairing of Finlay and O'Grady. The Irish put up an incredible fight (naturally) but Bigelow was able to pin Finlay following a slingshot splash. Steven Regal vs. Dennis Condrey Regal seemed a bit off his game since losing the California Title to Steve Austin, and while he did put in a good effort, Condrey took him down with a Full Nelson Facebuster . Jerry Lynn vs. Scotty The Body These two had an extended and exciting duel that went to Scotty with the Body Shot (DDT). Pacific Tag Team Title Match : Stormfront (Al Snow & Alex Porteau) © vs. The Destruction Crew The Crew came out aggressively, looking to regain their Pacific Tag Titles, but Snow caught Bloom coming off the ropes with a Snow Bomb to pull out a successful defense. Pacific Television Title Match : Buddy Rose © vs. Bret Hart Hart gave the wily veteran Rose a considerable challenge for the TV title. Partway through the match, Steve Austin came down to ringside and started arguing with Hart. While the ref was ordering Austin back to the locker room, Scotty The Body capitalized on the distraction by sneaking into the ring and hitting the Body Shot (DDT) on Hart. Rose capitalized with a running splash for the tainted victory. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Ricky Steamboat © vs. Chris Adams Adams got a rematch from the previous week and definitely gave Steamboat a run for his money. Adams nearly landed his always deadly Superkick on Steamboat coming off the ropes, but Steamboat slid under it, then followed up with a bridging back suplex to pull out the win.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Oakland Alameda County Arena, Oakland, on ESPN / TSN, May 17th The Triangle Of Terror (Ted Dibiase, Steve Williams & Terry Gordy) vs. Jim Lynch, Blake Towsley & Brian Corridan It's been a couple of weeks since the Triangle Of Terror made their shocking debut in PCW, and this would be the first time since then that the three of them would be in the ring in a match. They certainly cemented their fearsome reputation, devastating the opposition and running rampage all over the three rookies. Two accentuate the point, Corridan, who at this point was pretty much a ragdoll after their battering, was put away with a double spike piledriver. The Triangle Of Terror are making an impact, and it is terrifying indeed. Dan Severn & Maxx Payne vs. The Juice Crew (Beetlejuice & Big Juice) After last week, Severn is re-dedicating himself to the leadership of the Citadel, with the full support of the other members. He was a bit slow to get going against the notorious Juice Crew, but with the encouragement of Maxx Payne, he became more sure of himself. Payne whipped Big Juice into Severn, who took him over with a crushing backdrop suplex. Payne held off Beetljuice while Severn got the pinfall. If Severn isn't all the way back yet, he is certainly making important strides to get there. Interview : Don Coss stands in the ring Coss : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guest recently made a shocking return to Pacific Coast Wrestling … Tony Atlas! The booing of the fans doesn't seem to have an effect on Atlas, as he came out bearing a ferocious scowl that he maintained all the way to the ring. Coss : Tony Atlas, no one was expecting you to come back to PCW, but what on earth possessed you to attack Steven Regal and cost him the California Title? Atlas : You watch your mouth, Coss, I have my reasons. Since I left PCW, I started hearing about some English punk strutting around like a tall dog in short grass. Even had the nerve to call his team British Steel. Well, I just showed how easily British Steel breaks. It's no match for Iron & Steel, that's for sure. I am the strongest allow that there is, and no English brat is going to get in my way. Coss : But why cost Regal his California Title? Are you somehow trying to help Steve Austin? Atlas : Austin don't mean squat to me. People around here have forgotten about Tony Atlas. Big mistake. I took that creep down to make a statement. Nobody is ever going to overlook Tony Atlas again! Non-Title Match : The Rockers vs. The Midnight Express It didn't take long for the Rockers to get the attention of Pacific Coast fans. After several exciting appearances, it didn't take long for a match to be signed between the WWF United States Tag Team champions and the PCW Golden State Tag Team champs, albeit with neither set of titles on the line. The Rockers came out first, running the ropes to build up the excitement with the fans. The Midnight Express were next, accompanied by Jim Cornette and Sensational Sherri Martel, looking quite unimpressed with their opposition. As Marty Janetty ran the ropes on the side the Express were coming past, Stan Lane reached in and snagged his leg to trip him, all of the Express laughing as he fell flat on his face. The immediately stopped laughing when both members of the Rockers dove over the top tope and started brawling with them. Cornette cowered behind the ring steps while Sherri got some vicious kicks in whenever she could. The two sides kept brawling, paying no heed to the referee until he had no choice but to throw the match out and declare a no contest. A disappointing result, but you can bet that a rematch will be signed, sooner rather than later. Phoenix Rising (Toshiaki Kawada & Kensuke Sasaki) vs. The Oregon Wrecking Crew (Gary Albright & David Young) From their peak at the first part of the year as one of the most feared factions in all of PCW, the Oregon Wrecking Crew have taken quite a tumble in fortunes. They have found themselves the targets of harassment from the newly arrived Triangle Of Terror, and Young was coming in with a damaged arm from last week from matches with both the Triangle and Dean Malenko. The Japanese team eagerly capitalized on Young's injury, ruthlessly targeting it while keeping Albright out of the ring. Part way through the match, the Triangle Of Terror came out but did not interfere, simply standing at the back and observing the match while whispering to each other before returning to the locker room. Sasaki executed a vicious single arm takedown on Young before trapping him in a Wakigatame armbar, but Young refused to give up, and it came down to Albright having to throw in the towel to prevent further injury. Young was clearly in a lot of pain but clearly had a look of barely restrained fury as he left the ring. California Title Match : Steve Austin © vs. Vic Steamboat The last match would be a defense for Steve Austin's California Title , with Austin becoming a figure of some controversy since winning the title. He has shown progressive tendency to push boundaries and skirt the rules, to the obvious chagrin of his mentor, Bret Hart, who was at ringside for this match. His challenger, Vic Steamboat, comes in the match keen to establish himself as his own man, outside of the dual shadows of his brother Ricky Steamboat and his now departed partner Brian Adams. He was quite a handful for Austin, who became more and more aggressive as the match went on. When Steamboat tried to get Austin set up for the Demon Suplex (Tiger Suplex), Austin shut it down with a vicious elbow shot to the face, then followed up with a rollup assisted by a fistful of tights to get the win. After the match, Austin immediately got in Hart's face, bellowing at him and asking if he had something to say, but the Hitman simply shook his head in disappointment and tried to walk away . Austin grabbed him by the shoulder and spun him around, getting in his face, but again Bret's only reply was a stony look. Eventually, tempers cooled and the two left in different directions, but something tells me that this alliance is not long for this world.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from McArthur Court, Eugene, May 12th Steve Williams & Terry Gordy vs. The Oregon Wrecking Crew (Gary Albright & David Young) Young was coming in with his arm still in rough shape from the night before, but that didn't stop him from pulling out all the stops against Williams and Gordy. Albright was always at his partner's back, and they gave quite a fight to the Triangle members, until Williams caught Young coming off the ropes with a power slam and get the win. Vic Steamboat vs. Dennis Condrey The Demon was also coming in banged up from a match earlier in the weekend, but did his best against the veteran Condrey before going down to the Gourdbuster. Kensuke Sasaki vs. Masahiro Chono These two young Japanese stars had an intense and gripping duel, with the aggression of Chono proving to be the difference maker as he forced Sasaki to tap out to the STF. Steve Blackman vs. Erin O'Grady O'Grady kept up his energetic roll in an extremely competitive match with the Lethal Weapon before being caught coming off the ropes and hit with a spin kick to the head, giving the decision to Blackman. The Suicide Blondes (Chris Candido & Louie Spicolli) vs. The Sin City Superstars (Mark Starr & Reno Riggins) The new model Sin City Superstars showed what they could do against the up and coming Suicide Blondes. In a fast paced match, it was the Superstars hitting the combo of a schoolboy trip by Starr and a running cross body by Riggins on Spicolli getting the win. Dustin Rhodes & Billy Gunn vs. The Juice Crew (Beetlejuice & Big Juice) Clearly gearing up to take on the newly wild Southern Boys, Rhodes and Gunn faced the always unpredictable Juice Crew and were able to pull out the victory with Gunn executing the Sidewinder (spinning side suplex) on Big Juice California Title Match : Steve Austin © vs. Fit Finlay In his first defense of his newly won California title, Austin was facing a familiar opponent in the Belfast Bruiser. Austin was now cutting more corners and using more cheap shots, not that Finlay was intimidated. Nonetheless, Austin was able to lure Finlay into a rollup assisted by a fistful of tights and his feet on the ropes to pin his shoulders to the mat.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Portland Memorial Coliseum , Portland , on Pacific Super Cards on ESPN / TSN, May 11th The Rockers vs. The Destruction Crew The Rockers were perfectly synchronized, sending Enos out of the ring with a double back body drop, then taking down Bloom with a double crescent kick and putting him down for good with a double flying fistdrop, scoring an incredibly impressive win over the former Pacfic Tag Team champs. Dean Malenko vs. David Young Malenko was able to outlast Young's rough and tumble offense, taking him down and forcing him to submit to a cross armbreaker. Toshiaki Kawada vs. Genichiro Tenryu Tenryu was evidently furious at having to wait for his rematch with Ricky Steamboat, taking his frustrations out on Kawada. He battered the young Japanese star before pinning him following a scoop Brainbuster. Pacific Television Title Match : Buddy Rose © vs. Jerry Lynn Lynn gave the Playboy a spirited challenge but ultimately was defeated by the Inside Out Backbreaker Pacific Tag Team Title Match : Stormwatch (Al Snow & Alex Porteau) © vs. The Southern Boys The Southern Boys showed their descent to the wild side with a ferocious brawl that wound up being declared a no contest by the ref when the match got completely out of control. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Ricky Steamboat © vs. Chris Adams This show closed out with an absolute barn burner, with Adams gunning hard for the big title. Steamboat just barely dodged the dreaded Superkick, and when Adams attempted a DDT, the Dragon was able to counter with an inside cradle to earn the hard fought win.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Portland Sports Arena, Portland , on ESPN / TSN, May 10th Shane Douglas vs. The Jackal Last week, Shane Douglas made his surprising but successful return to the west coast in a winning effort. Tonight, his competition increased considerably as he took on the always devious Jackal. The masked man attempted his usual array of dirty tricks, but the speed and enthusiasm of Douglas was able to carry him past them. The Jackal eventually got so upset he went for his final option, as it looked like he would attempt to use the toxic Crimson Death Dust on the Pittsburgh native. But before he could do so, Douglas got in close and hit a lightning quick belly to belly suplex on the Jackal and got the one two three. The Jackal was livid at this result but the crowd was ecstatic as they celebrated with Douglas for his big victory. Interview : Don Coss stands in the Crow's Nest Coss : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guests are experience some setbacks lately on the Pacific Coast … the Citadel! The crowd warmly greets the Citadel as they head out to the Crow's Nest, but they don't seem to notice. Dan Severn looks downcast, while Steve Blackman, Al Snow, Alex Porteau and Maxx Payne all look concerned. Snow : Don, if you don't mind, this is Citadel business, so I will take things from here. Dan … what's going on? You have been more and more out of it in your matches. We keep looking to you for leadership, but you just aren't there. What gives? Severn : Al, guys … I've lost it. Billy Jack Haynes took the Pacific Submission Title from me, and in doing so, he made me look like a chump. That title was my biggest achievement in PCW, I like to think I gave it some prestige. Now it's gone, and I don't have it anymore. I've lost my edge, and I am not able to get it back. I'm not fit to lead the Citadel anymore. I think it's best that I turn over the leadership to Steve and resign. The rest of the Citadel look to each other and seem to come to a wordless agreement. Blackman : Dan, with all due respect … HELL, NO! (Severn is startled) You founded this group, and no matter what, you are the only leader we want. You are in a bit of a slump. They happen. But you are still the Beast. You've forgotten more about grappling than any of us will ever know. We will get you back up to speed, no matter what it takes, but you need to promise to at least meet us half way. Payne : Dan, you took me in when the Neighborhood Of Evil kicked me out on my ass. You showed faith in me when nobody else did. We have faith in you, and you need to have some faith in yourself. Porteau : You are the Man, you just need to remember it. We have your back come hell or high water. Severn : Guys, I … I don't know what to say. Yes, I'm in. I will do everything to live up to your faith in me. Dennis Condrey vs. Ibrehem Rahman Another surprising recent return to Pacific Coast Wrestling has been that of Dennis Condrey. After interfering under a mask at Vegas Vengeance, "Loverboy" Dennis is now fully back in the fold of Camp Cornette, and James E. Cornette is clearly pleased as punch to have him back. It didn't take Condrey long to show why, as he easily dismantled Rahman before putting him down for good with a Full Nelson Facebuster. With the return of both Condrey and the Golden State Tag Team Titles, Cornette and his men are clearly riding high again. Interview : Don Coss stands in the Crow's Nest Coss : Ladies and gentlemen , my next guests have make one of the most impactful debuts in the history of PCW … the Triangle Of Terror. The crowd boos loudly as they come out, but that doesn't seem to bother Ted Dibiase, Steve Williams and Terry Gordy, who are all sneers and laughter as they walk out to the Crow's Nest. Coss : Ted Dibiase, you've never wrestled before in PCW, but you and your … uhh … men come out of nowhere to savagely attack Barry Windham! What on earth is going on? Dibiase : The answer is simple, Coss, even for someone as simple as you! I have accomplished anything I have set my mind to. I am a Man Of Means, and what I want, I take. I saw the West Coast as a big glittering prize, and I intend to take it as the biggest jewel in my crown. To do this, I knew just the right person to join me in this quest. Someone I trusted above all others, my good friend, Doctor Death! Williams : That's right, Ted. I have heard a lot of balloon juice about how the best competitors in wrestling are in PCW. Well, what I've seen so far doesn't impress me at all. The Triangle is going to tear it all down and show you what real wrestlers look like. Dibiase : I knew right away who our first target would be. Barry Windham is the last Pacific Heavyweight champion and would be standing in our way for any title shots. I immediately hatched a plan to get this obstacle out of our way before we even got here. We started sending notes, taking over the lights, getting inside his head until he didn't know up from down. But to get the ultimate edge, we needed someone who was going to make it personal. Someone with a grudge to work out. That is where my man Terry comes into the picture. Gordy : Barry Windham, you remember me? You got me and my Freebird brothers kicked out of PCW. Well, I am back and badder than ever! You found out, didn't you? We sent you out on a stretcher, and if you know what's good for you, you will take the hint and stay out of our way. Just get the hell out of the Pacific Coast entirely unless you want us to send you our permanently. And hey, Ricky Steamboat … don't you dare for a second think I have forgotten about you. I was the most dominant Pacific Heavyweight Champion until you came along. Well, I hope you have been enjoying babysitting my belt for me, because it is all about to come to an end. It's only a matter of time. Coss : But you haven't just been harassing Barry Windham, you have also .. Dibiase : Uh uh, Coss, not just yet. We aren't going to give away all of our secrets at once. Let's just say that we will make our next move when the time is right. Until the time comes, take it as a warning. Pacific Coast Wrestling is about to take on a new shape : the Triangle Of Terror! Tony Atlas vs. Bobby John Drinkard Someone else to make a shocking arrival (or, in his case, return) by ambush in PCW has been Tony Atlas. The three time Mr. USA brutally attacked Steven Regal last week, basically handing the California Title to Steve Austin. He is clearly as fearsome as ever, and he made short work of Drinkard. Atlas whipped the young rookie from pillar to post and piledrove him to the mat before forcing him to give up to a Full Nelson. Hmmm, wonder what Billy Jack Haynes might make of him using his finisher. The Eagle, Vic Steamboat & The Dreamboats (Tommy Dreamer & Glamour Boy Shane) vs. The Playboy Club (Buddy Rose, Scotty The Body, Mark Starr & Reno Riggins) After their reorganization last week, the Playboy Club came out and delivered a considerable show of force. With Tina Ferrari and the imposing Mike Awesome at ringside, they were clearly a faction to be reckoned with. The Eagle and Vic Steamboat were both dealing with the recent departure of their respective partners, and while the Dreamboats did their best to keep things together, it was no match for the well oiled machine that was the Playboy Club. Riggins was able to catch Steamboat in the Reno Plex (Cradle Suplex) for the win . After the match, Awesome added insult to injury , or possibly further injury to injury, giving a spiteful Power Bomb to Steamboat. The Playboy Club are clearly staking their own claim on the Pacific Coast. Pacific Light Heavyweight Title Match : Eddie Guerrero © vs. Erin O'Grady The evening closed off a thrilling light heavyweight match. The Leprechaun has been really feeling his oats of late, and went all out against the champ. Guerrero was given all he could handle from O'Grady, and it was all he could do to get him down and force him to tap out to a leglock that he calls the Lasso From El Paso. O'Grady may not have won the title, but he certainly has won the respect of Guerrero and the fans.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Kelowna Memorial Arena, Kelowna, May 5th Louie Spicolli vs. Dennis Condrey Condrey made his official return to the PCW ring, defeating Spicolli with a Full Nelson Facebuster Steve Blackman vs. Mike Enos Blackman put in a considerable effort to raise the flagging fortunes of the Citadel, pinning Enos following a Running Bicycle Kick Dragon Azul vs. Erin O'Grady These two stellar light heavyweights put on an exciting match that ended with Dragon taking the victory with the Asai Moonsault Golden State Tag Team Title Match : The Midnight Express © vs. The Dreamboats (Tommy Dreamer & Glamour Boy Shane) Despite going out in the opening round of the Moondog Lonnie Mayne Memorial Tag Team Tournament, the Dreamboats still had the love of the fans, and came out set on showing that they were still worthy contenders. There was a bit of an altercation between Sherri Martel and Trisa Hayes early in the match, otherwise the action was kept in the ring. The Dreamboats kept the champs on the run for much of the match, and it took a well timed tennis racquet shot from Cornette to allow a flying kneedrop from Eaton on Shane that gave the Express the victory. Nevertheless, the Dreamboats were able to prove something to themselves. Brian Lee vs. Big Juice Carrying on from his big win at Vegas Vengeance where he sent the feared Undertaker packing, "Bulldozer" Brian Lee took Big Juice off his feet with big boot out of the corner, then hit the Prime Time Slam for the win. Pacific Television Title Match : Buddy Rose © vs. The Eagle With the departure from PCW of his partner the Patriot, the Eagle moves into singles action with a high profile title shot with the always confident Buddy Rose. Full credit to the masked man, he gave a serious challenge before the Playboy lured him into the Inside Out Backbreaker to successfully defend his title.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Pacific Coliseum, Vancouver on Pacific Super Cards on ESPN / TSN , May 4th Dean Malenko vs. Beetlejuice Malenko was able to catch Beetlejuice coming off the ropes with a dropkick to the knee, then forced him to submit to the Texas Cloverleaf Chris Candido vs. Scotty The Body Candido put in a game effort, but Scotty took him down with the Body Shot (DDT) Bret Hart vs. Fit Finlay This was a fierce battle with both men fighting out of attempts at the Sharpshooter and the Celtic Knot, and finally ended with Bret just barely pinning Finlay with a Schoolboy Rollup out of the corner. Dan Severn & Stormwatch (Al Snow & Alex Porteau) vs. The Oregon Wrecking Crew (Billy Jack Haynes, Gary Albright & David Young) The new Pacific Tag champs of Snow and Porteau of trying to get their leader Severn invested in the match. The OWC capitalized on their disarray, with Young pinning Porteau with his feared Spinebuster Slam. California Title Match : Steven Regal © vs. Steve Austin These two were both keyed up, having an incredibly fierce battle over the California Title. Regal managed to get Austin down and was trying to lock him in the Regal Stretch, but Austin kicked him off, sending the champ crashing into the ref and knocking the official out. This is where things took a turn from the bizarre. Out of nowhere, someone came rushing out to the ring and attacked Regal with kicks and punches. It was Tony Atlas, making his first appearance in PCW in quite some time. He grabbed Regal and hit a devastating piledriver, in part of some apparent weekend long celebration of people rushing into the ring and hitting others with piledrivers. He then pointed to Austin and gestured him to pin Regal before running out, as quickly as he came in. Austin stared blankly … then shrugged and grinned as he pulled the unconscious Regal up from the mat, hoisted him over his shoulder, and hit the Stun Gun, adding insult to injury. He then roused the referee and had him count the pinfall. Just like that, Austin was now California champ. Bret came out after the match, seemingly to celebrate his man's title victory, but it was all Bret could do to stare at Austin in disappointment and confusion. Austin just gave him another cocksure shrug before leaving the ring with the title belt slung over his shoulder. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Ricky Steamboat © vs. The Soultaker Even though his undefeated streak came to an end at Vegas Vengeance courtesy of Billy Gunn, the Soultaker is still a fearsome competitor , as he showed as he challenged for the Pacific Heavyweight Title. The big man really took it to the Dragon, battering him with crushing power moves. Steamboat was able to battle back and hit the Diving Crossbody for the win, but you could tell afterwards that he had been in a fight.

Pacific Coast Wrestling
Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Victoria Memorial Arena, Victoria, on ESPN / TSN, May 3rd The Rockers vs. Jeff Wilson & Willard Smith Pacific Coast Wrestling is coming off a huge show with Vegas Vengeance and is kicking off their next show in high style. First match up featured a very special treat for the West Coast fans with the PCW debut of the Rockers. Shawn Michaels and Marty Janetty have a spectacular pedigree , coming in as WWF United States Tag Team champions with a reputation for spectacular matches. They certainly delivered in their introductory match, flummoxing Wilson and Smith with their high flying moves before pinning Smith after a double flying fistdrop. The appearance of these two on their tour of the West Coast will certainly bring the excitement among the PCW fans up to a fever pitch. Interview : Don Coss stands in the ring (Cornette) Coss : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guests are coming off a very successful showing at Vegas Vengeance … Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express! The fans jeer as Cornette, Eaton and Lane head to the ring. While they are their usual smug, smirking selves as they stride out, Golden State Tag Titles in hand, Cornette seems to have an additional element of irritation beneath the smile. Coss : Jim Cornette, I couldn't help but notice that Brian Christopher is no longer among your ranks. What gives? Cornette : You just mind your own business, Coss. After the completely unfair loss of the Light Heavyweight Title at Vegas Vengeance, young Mister Christopher decided to pursue other opportunities elsewhere. Possibly in the family business, I don't know. We wish him well in his future endeavours. The big thing is, once again, the Midnight Express are the Golden State Tag Team champions! We defeated the alleged best teams in wrestling and won the Crockett Cup! We are clearly the greatest tag team in the world! Order is restored in the universe! But I want to digress for a moment and talk about what happened in the last match. Question : what the hell was that? A pair of snot nosed Midnight Express wannabes having some sort of flippy doodle match that impresses these hicks in the audience but certainly didn't mean anything to me! (The crowd boos even louder, having quickly come to love the Rockers.) Well, Jim Cornette always thinks several moves in advance. A good friend of mine on the East Coast gave me the word that these two idiots would be heading my way and maybe even challenging for our titles. I knew that I had to nip this straight in the bud, and my friend kindly sent out one of their own special agents to spill all the secrets of these so-called Rockers. So I want to introduce, our new special agent provocateur … "Sensational" Sherri Martel! The fans are caught off guard but resume booing as Martel struts out to the ring, acting as if she owned the place. Martel : Shawn Michaels! Marty Janetty! I have watched every move you have made in the WWF! I know everything about you, and I will gladly turn that knowledge over to young Master Cornette! (Cornette blushes and beams) Young James and I will have a truly fruitful relationship, and it will centre around destroying the two of you! You won't make it back to the WWF intact! Coss : Ummmm, ok, … there is still one mystery yet to be resolved : who was the masked man who assisted you in winning back the Golden State Tag Team Titles from the Rainbow Warriors? Cornette : I know nothing of what you are talking about, Coss. My men won the titles exclusively on their own merits. That said, there was a shy retiring sort whom we bumped into after the match who expressed congratulations and admiration for the team. Let's bring that fan out to meet the gang. The crowd just keeps right on booing as the black clad masked man skulked out to the ring. Cornette : Would the mystery guest please sign in? The newcomer slowly peels off the mask , and for the first time, the crowd boos make way for a stunned silence and the revelation of his identity …. Dennis Condrey! Condrey had not been seen in PCW in years since losing a Loser Leaves Town match , but now was back by the side of Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express. Cornette : *cackling* Oh, yes, folks, he's back! It took some time for my mother's lawyers to get it all straightened out, but he was completely unfairly forced from PCW, and now he is here as the enforcer for the Midnight Express! And I have one more secret that I am going to keep to myself for now. But let me just leave you with this : everyone on the West Coast is going to be so sorry that they ever picked on me! Billy Gunn & The Southern Boys vs. The Oregon Wrecking Crew ( Billy Jack Haynes, Gary Albright & David Young) Ever since losing the Pacific Tag Team Titles last year, the Southern Boys have gotten progressively more erratic and aggressive as the weeks have rolled on. Even with their former friend Billy Jack Haynes across the ring from them, much of the drama of the match came from Armstrong and Smothers ignoring their partner Billy Gunn and his requests to be tagged in. The OWC, for their part, had enough on their plate, having to be wary of the mysterious Triangle Of Terror that has been tormenting them. The Southern Boys clearly snapped for good when they double slingshot Gunn into the ring and started attacking him. The OWC, seeing the match now thrown out and figuring this had nothing to do with them, bailed out, anxiously looking over their shoulders all the way to the back. The Southern Boys continued their attack on Gunn until Dustin Rhodes rushed out and the pair scattered. No doubt about it, the Southern Boys have gone fully around the bend. Shane Douglas vs. James Miller After the chaos of the previous match, the fans were happy to get some relief with the return after a long absence of Shane Douglas. The popular Pittsburgh native was all smiles and high fives as he headed to the ring, then gave a very spirited showing against the rookie Miller before finishing him off with a Belly To Belly suplex. With all of the darkness hanging over Pacific Coast Wrestling, fans are reacting to Douglas return like a warm ray of sunshine breaking through the clouds. Interview : Don Coss stands in the ring Coss : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guests are coming off a very successful showing at Vegas Vengeance ( *muttering* Jesus, here we go again) … Buddy Rose and the Playboy Club! Predictably, the Club is all smug smiles, with Buddy Rose keeping the Pacific Television Title belt slung over his shoulder as he struts to the ring. Coss : Rose, I guess you are proud of yourself for the way you used Mike Awesome's interference to win the Pacific Television title from Brian Pillman. Rose : You are ever so right, Dandy Don. Flyin' Brian had himself a crash at Vegas Vengeance, and he has no one to blame but himself for not watching his own back. Just goes to show you that, no matter how they try to stack the deck against me, the Playboy always comes out on top, especially in my home town of Vegas, baby! Coss : Mark Starr, the Sin City Superstars had a strong showing at Vegas Vengeance, making it to the semi-finals of the Moondog Lonnie Mayne Memorial Tag Team Tournament. Where will you go from here? Starr : Don, that is just the start for the Sin City Superstars. Scotty and I won't be satisfied until we hold the Pacific Tag Team Titles! So Stormwatch are living on borrowed time with those belts. Scotty The Body : Ummmmmm …. about that, Mark. Here's the deal. My actual ambitions lie elsewhere. I enjoyed having a reunion of the Superstars, but it was never meant to be permanent. I am inclining to singles title glory, which means my time as a tag team wrestler are done for the foreseeable. Starr : So , what does that mean for me? Rose : No fear, Mister Starr, no fear at all! In your brief time back in the fold, you have showed without a doubt that you are Playboy Club material. Your willingness to make the sacrifice play a few weeks ago against Brian Pillman was particularly impressive. You put the needs of the Club above your own personal ambitions, and that was both noticed and appreciated. Like I said when you came back : you give to the Playboy Club, the Playboy Club will give back to you. Quite specifically, we are giving you a new partner. Someone hand picked to be a Sin City Superstar, and who better than one of the original Superstars …. Reno Riggins! The crowd is somewhat confused at the return of Riggins, who has not been seen in PCW in quite some time, but Starr visibly relaxes at the appearance of his new partner. Riggins : Buddy! Gang! Great to see you again! I just got back from attending to family business in Tenn- , errr, Reno, which is where I am from. What did I miss? Rose : We'll bring you up to speed soon enough, Reno, but happy to have you back in the fold. This is Mike and your new partner Mark. Say hi, guys. Awesome : Howdy. Mark : Cheers! Reno : How do! Rose : So there you have it. As I said, one happy family. The Playboy Club is at the top of Pacific Coast Wrestling once again! The Suicide Blondes (Chris Candido & Louie Spicolli) vs. The Can-Am Express As is an annual tradition, Vegas Vengeance was a showcase for the vibrant PCW tag team division, with the Can-Am Express going all the way to the finals of the Moondog Lonnie Mayne Memorial Tag Team Tournament and coming out with the million dollar prize. The Suicide Blondes were in singles matches in Vegas, but are coming out keen to show their mettle as a duo and prove themselves against the tournament champs. This was a very closely contested and exciting match, with both teams coming close to taking it all. Lafon was able to thrust kick Spicolli into a German Suplex by Furnas to give the win to the Can-Ams, but both teams showed themselves to be top contenders tonight. Dustin Rhodes vs. Barry Windham There was a lot of tension in the air for this match, as Windham was at his wits end with the constant harassment from the Triangle Of Terror. Dustin Rhodes gave him a considerable fight, but Windham wound up taking out his frustrations on Rhodes, only to be distracted time again with looking for any sign of the mysterious entity that was driving him batty. Windham was able to hit a Western Lariat that sent Rhodes flying out of the ring, then … lights out. The Triangle Of Terror symbol beamed in the ring, and when the lights came back on, who was standing over Rhodes but … TED DIBIASE? He doesn't even work here! An enraged Windham called out to Dibiase, screaming at him to come in the ring and face him like a man, but Dibiase just stood there, grinning malevolently. The lights went out one more time, and when they came back on again, staring at Windham from the other side of the ring was … TERRY GORDY! The big Freebird had not been seen on the West Coast since his epic run as Pacific Heavyweight Champion, but here he was, giving the evil eye to Windham from ringside. Windham was torn, glancing from one side of the ring to the other. The lights went on a third and final time, and when they came back on, Windham was blindsided by a crushing tackle from … STEVE WILLIAMS! "Doctor Death" was making his first appearance in PCW in devastating fashion, knocking Windham to the mat and pummeling him with savage punches until Dibiase and Gordy joined him in the beatdown. Scott Hall and Brian Lee came out to help Dustin Rhodes to his feet, but their only reaction to the carnage was to look and shake their heads before dragging their young friend to the safety of the locker room. Gordy hit Windham with a piledriver not once, not twice, but three times and the big Texan was unconscious when PCW security finally went to the ring and the Triangle retreated, having done enough damage for now. The crowd watched in stunned silence as Windham was taken out of the ring on a stretcher. The Triangle Of Terror have made their first impression, and done so in devastating fashion.

Pacific Coast Wrestling Vegas Vengeance from the Showboat Arena, Las Vegas, Night Two Dragon Azul vs. The Jackal The second night started out with a hot light heavyweight battle. While Dragon Azul has impressed many and showed a composure and confidence that belied his youth, the Jackal as taken a more sinister path of ambush and foul play. The Jackal was savage in his attack on Dragon, and the Japanese star had to work hard to fight back against the Wild Thing member. When the ref was knocked down, the Jackal immediately capitalized by throwing a handful of crimson dust right into the face of Dragon Azul. Dragon seemed to be both blinded and struggling to breathe, and the Jackal followed up with an inverted DDT before going for the pin. The ref crawled over and made the count, giving the win to the Jackal. Just goes to show that you can't take your eye off the Jackal for a second. Dustin Rhodes vs. Chris Adams While Chris Adams has mainly been focused on Bret Hart and Steve Austin since his return to the West Coast, he has proved dangerous no matter what the opposition. The former California champ Dustin Rhodes was certainly no pushover, the English Gentleman would show himself the ultimate victor when he caught him coming off the ropes with a devastating Superkick. Adams is definitely turning out to be the Diamond Exchange's proverbial Ace In The Hole. Dan Severn, Steve Blackman & Maxx Payne vs. The Oregon Wrecking Crew (Billy Jack Haynes , Gary Albright & David Young) Following his loss of the Pacific Submission Title to Billy Jack Haynes, Dan Severn has found himself deep in the doldrums which have proved difficult to shake. This seemed to continue into plague him in this six man match, as he seemed listless and disinterested throughout the match. His teammates were both frustrated and concerned with their leader, but despite doing what they could to get Severn engaged, the Beast still ended up being pinned by Young after a Spinebuster Slam. Severn seemed incredibly dejected as he headed back to the locker room, as Blackman and Payne exchanged worried glances. Shinya Hashimoto vs. Bam Bam Bigelow Bigelow comes into this match standing on shaky ground with the Diamond Exchange. Diamond Dallas Page has pretty much given the Beast From The East final notice and told him that he needed to start delivering results, otherwise, he could be replaced. Bam Bam came close to winning the Pacific Heavyweight Title in San Francisco, but close wasn't good enough for DDP. Bam Bam brought an extra intensity to his match with Hashimoto, intensity which the tough as nails Japanese star matches. DDP grew more and more furious with each near fall, demanding that Bigelow finish off Hashimoto. Bigelow attempted to whip Hashimoto into the ropes, but Hashimoto reversed it. DDP had failed to see that it had been reversed (or had he?) and reached in and mistakenly (?) tripped Bigelow. This left Bigelow vulnerable to the Leaping Spike DDT, and this was enough to give Hashimoto the win. After the match, DDP lambasted Bigelow for the loss, all while Hashimoto looked on in concern, and even slapped his face. Bad move, as an enraged Bam Bam grabbed DDP by jacket and started shaking him. The Destruction Crew rushed in to the ring to the aid of their manager, beating down Bam Bam. This was the last straw for Hashimoto, who waded in and started levelling the crew with brutal kicks to the head and DDTs. Bam Bam had recovered enough to go up top and hit the Nuclear Splash on both men, all while a horrified DDP watched. Page was finally able to drag his men out of the ring, and they staggered back to the locker room while Hashimoto raised Bam Bam's arm as a show of respect. Not a good omen for the Destruction Crew's upcoming Pacific Tag Team Title defense. Louie Spicolli vs. Mike Awesome Mike Awesome may be Buddy Rose's chief enforcer for the Playboy Club, but he has shown to be just as capable of getting it done in his own matches. He was able to overpower poor Spicolli and toss him around the ring, finishing him off with the Power Bomb. With people like Mike Awesome watching his back, Playboy Buddy Rose may well be untouchable. Moondog Lonnie Mayne Memorial Tag Team Tournament Semi-Final Match : The Can-Am Express vs. The Fighting Irish (Fit Finlay & Erin O'Grady) The night moved on to the second round of the Tag Team Tournament. The Fighting Irish had pulled off a major upset over Phoenix Rising in the first round, but their Cinderella Story reached midnight with the Can-Am Express. Furnas and Lafon were just too well tuned for the duo from the Emerald Isle, with Lafon hitting O'Grady with a reverse cross body to move on in the tournament. Still, the Leprechaun has a lot to be proud of for his efforts, and Finlay is clearly proud of him. Moondog Lonnie Mayne Memorial Tag Team Tournament Semi-Final Match : The Sin City Superstars (Scotty The Body & Mark Starr) vs. The Force Of July (The Patriot & The Eagle) The Sin City Superstars had engaged in some dirty pool to get to the second round of the tournament, but the Force Of July were not about to tolerate any of their nonsense. Despite Scotty and Starr's efforts at skullduggery, the Eagle hit the Screaming Eagle (top rope missile dropkick) on Starr and put them out of the tournament. The finals were now in place : The Force Of July squaring off against the Can-Am Express. No DQ Street Fight : Steve Austin vs. Cactus Jack Stunning Steve Austin came to the West Coast as a rookie brimming with confidence. Despite some early losses, Austin flourished under the tutelage of Bret Hart and if anything, if confidence has grown after scoring the pinfall in their match at Aloha Spectacular. Cactus Jack, for his part, has been increasingly estranged from the Wild Things, the group he founded, and is dead set on showing that he is a force to be reckoned with. After a few inconclusive bouts, this match was signed, with no rules and a definitive winner guaranteed. Both men came out, guns a-blazing, and immediately started slugging it out with each other. Cactus Jack has a well earned reputation as a reckless brawler. However, Austin was clearly tapping some sort of deep seated inner rage and drive to be done with Cactus once and for all. Both men were a bloody mess deep into the match. There was a big shock among the fans when Austin hit the Stun Gun, but Cactus kicked out. This enraged Austin, who went outside the ring and a grabbed a chair from ringside, bringing it back into the ring. He then dragged Cactus to his feet and then clobbered him across the back with the metal chair. That was not enough for Austin, who proceeded to jab the back of the chair hard into the ribs of Cactus. Finally, Austin hauled Cactus up into a piledriver, driving him into the mat before at last pinning him. The crowd was horrified at the behavior of Austin, who looked like he was going to do more damage post-match when Bret Hart ran out to the ring and grabbed the chair from him. He was able to calm Austin down, but was clearly looking at him with concern as he led the manically grinning Austin back to the locker room. Pacific Tag Team Title Match : The Destruction Crew © vs. Stormfront (Al Snow & Alex Porteau) Since winning the Pacific Tag Team Titles at San Diego Battleground, the Destruction Crew have been dominant champions. DDP's men have been ruthless in seeing off their challengers, and have seemed unstoppable. However, after the battering that they had taken at the hands of Shinya Hashimoto and Bam Bam Bigelow earlier in the evening, Enos and Bloom were coming in at distinctly compromised capacity. Stormfront had been persistent challengers for the titles and went all out to take down the champs. Diamond Dallas Page did was he could to tip the balance in his men's favour. But Snow and Porteau, hungry not just to win the titles but to lift the fortunes of the Citadel, would not be denied. They hit the Storm Warning (modified double Flapjack that drives the opponent down onto his head) on Enos and get the pinfall. The fans exploded in cheers as Stormfront raised the belts over their heads, and Snow and Porteau were clearly thrilled to have pulled off a major victory. Loser Leaves Town Match : Brian Lee vs. The Undertaker The Undertaker has been on a rampage through Pacific Coast Wrestling, but last week, it seems like he went to far. With his brutalizing of a rookie on Pacific Wrestling Showcase, he drew the ire of his cousin Brian Lee, and the stage was set for this match. After tonight, one of the two of them will have wrestled their last match for PCW. The two had a ferocious match, and the crowd were on the edge of their seats to see who would come out on top. While it is the Undertaker who has the reputation for being relentless, it was the Bulldozer who just kept coming after him, no matter what the Dead Man threw at him. It seemed like the Undertaker would go for the nuclear option when he set Lee up for the dreaded Heart Punch. But out of nowhere, Lee flattened him with a clothesline, then immediately dragged him up to his feet and hit the Prime Time Slam. It was close but he was able to hold the Undertaker to the mat for a three count, and just like that, the man from Death Valley would have to pack his bags. California Title Match : Steven Regal © vs. Chris Candido Following the dissolution of both British Steel and the Knights Templar, Steven Regal has formed a considerable reputation on his own. While not averse to ruthless tactics, lately Regal has focused more on honing and showcasing his technical skills, with some matches that have caught the attention of the discerning fans. After Candido was able to pin Regal in a six man tag match 2 weeks ago, he was immediately picked as the challenger for the California title for this high profile match. Regal came out, very much intending not just to defeat Candido but to prove himself the superior scientific wrestler. Candido rose to the challenge, and the two put on a thrill packed match that kept the fans breathless. The two seemed evenly matched when Regal took Candido down hard with a lightning quick cravat , then swiftly applied the Regal Stretch. The moment Candido tapped out, Regal release the hold and helped Candido to his feet, shaking his hand in recognition of a classic match. Regal certainly shows more gentlemanly behaviour than the alleged "Gentleman" Chris Adams. Moondog Lonnie Mayne Memorial Tag Team Tournament Final Match : The Can-Am Express vs. The Force Of July (The Patriot & The Eagle) The annual Moondog Lonnie Mayne Memorial Tag Team Tournament comes to a close with two of the most highly regarded teams on the Pacific Coast in a showdown for the $1 Million prize. Both teams have been on a serious roll going into the tournament, and the fans were keen to see who would come out on top. The teams rewarded the fans with a tightly contested and high impact match, with both teams going into high gear throughout. It looked like it would go to the Force Of July with the Patriot setting Furnas up for the Uncle Slam. But Furnas was able to block it, then turn it around into a waistlock. Lafon quickly came in with a thrust kick that sent Patriot over into a German Suplex from Furnas, then blocked the Eagle long enough to allow the three count. The Can-Am Express are this year's tournament winners, and the Force Of July raised their hands in victory and handed them the trophy in a gracious display of recognition for the classic match they just had. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Ricky Steamboat © vs. Genichiro Tenryu After an incredible two nights of wrestling, the show would close off with the most hotly anticipated match of the lineup. Genichiro Tenryu is both unpinned and undefeated in singles action since his PCW debut, and is perhaps the most feared challenger to Ricky Steamboat in his new reign as Pacific Coast Champion. After opening formalities, the two got down to business. Tenryu was a formidable opponent, hitting some jarring suplexes and power moves early in the match. But Steamboat was patient, slowly chipping away at Tenryu and wearing him down. It took some time, but Steamboat was able to hit some big moves of his own, getting some near falls on the Japanese legend. He went up top for his famous finisher, the Diving Crossbody, but Tenryu rolled through with himself on top for the cover. One … two … kickout by Steamboat. Tenryu got up and brought Steamboat to his feet, getting him set for the Power Bomb. But the Dragon dug in for all he was worth and blocked every attempt at the move. Tenryu then locked his arms around Steamboat and hit a Belly To Belly Suplex that made the ring shake. One … two … kickout by Steamboat. The bell then rang, leading Tenryu to think he had won the title, but it was only signaling a 30 minute time limit draw. Both men bowed to each other after the match, but the steely glares they were giving each other showed that this was not over by a long chalk. A rematch would only be a matter of time.

Pacific Coast Wrestling
Pacific Coast Wrestling Vegas Vengeance from the Showboat Arena, Las Vegas, Night One Jerry Lynn vs. Dean Malenko The fans were already excited for the kickoff of PCW's annual trip to America's Playground, and got even more so with the start of the first match. Lynn and Malenko have exchanged wins in a thrilling feud, and were both keen to establish dominance at Vegas Vengeance. Malenko was razor sharp in this match with his takedowns and submission holds, looking to force Lynn to tap out. For his part, Lynn proved incredibly resilient, fighting out of attempts to get him in the Texas Cloverleaf and getting in plenty of shots of his own. Malenko eventually tried to take Lynn down once more with a spinning back heel kick, but Lynn was just able to dodge out of the way. Lynn hit a running legdrop, then went up top and hit a flying senton to finally put Malenko down. The fans gave them a round of applause for their light heavyweight classic and both men shook hands in the middle of the ring as the symbol of ultimate respect. Moondog Lonnie Mayne Memorial Tag Team Tournament First Round Match : The Southern Boys vs. The Can-Am Express The Moondog Lonnie Mayne Memorial Tag Team Tournament got off to a raging start with this first match. The Southern Boys came out guns ablazing , with extremely aggressive tactics against the Can-Ams. Furnas and Lafon played it cool and let the Southern Boys work themselves into a frenzy. When Armstrong made a mistake, that's when they sprang their trap. Armstrong failed to notice that Lafon had tagged out, and only realized it when Furnas grabbed him around the waist. Furnas then hit a crushing German Suplex, and with Lafon intercepting Smothers, got the three count to move on in the tournament. The Southern Boys were livid at the result and looked to take it out on the ref before he threatened them with suspension. Moondog Lonnie Mayne Memorial Tag Team Tournament First Round Match : Phoenix Rising (Toshiaki Kawada & Kensuke Sasaki) vs. The Fighting Irish (Fit Finlay & Erin O'Grady) The Irish are coming in on a real high after a huge win last week over the Dragon Kings. This momentum would be put to a severe test with the Japanese duo of Kawada and Sasaki. Both teams held nothing back, but it seemed like Phoenix Rising were wearing down Finlay and O'Grady. Then, Sasaki clotheslined O'Grady over the top rope, but, similar to Armstrong in the previous match, didn't see the Leprechaun catch himself on the rope. Sasaki took a moment to catch his breath, only to get blindsided by O'Grady with the Pot O' Gold (springboard bulldog). Finlay ploughed into Kawada like an Ulster torpedo and O'Grady got the pinfall for another huge victory to move on in the tournament. Billy Gunn vs. The Soultaker The Soultaker has blazed a trail since his arrival on the West Coast that has been terrible to behold. The monster of the Wild Things has left a trail of broken bodies in his wake, including a victory over Billy Gunn at Aloha Spectacular. The happy go lucky Texan did not shy away from signing a rematch, but while he gave it his all, it seemed like it would be another victory for the Soultaker when he got Gunn set for the Exorcism (Spine Snapper backbreaker). Then Gunn cut that off with a big elbow to the face that stunned the Soultaker. He followed up with several more elbow smashes before executing the Sidewinder (Spinning Side Suplex). One … two … THREE! The fans exploded and Gunn leapt to his feet after he had pulled off what seemed to be impossible. Gunn may well have jumped up to the next level in one match. Moondog Lonnie Mayne Memorial Tag Team Tournament First Round Match : The Dreamboats (Tommy Dreamer & Glamour Boy Shane) vs. The Sin City Superstars (Scotty The Body & Mark Starr) The next match up in the tournament wound up being a big match in one of the hottest rivalries on the West Coast. Trisa Hayes and her men have rapidly drawn the ire of the Playboy Club, notably Scotty The Body and Tina Ferrari. With Scotty bringing back his Sin City Superstars partner Mark Starr to take on the Dreamboats, you can tell he was taking this match seriously. The powderkeg exploded when Trisa and Tina started catfighting at ringside. Starr quickly took advantage by clipping Dreamer from behind. This gave Scotty the opening to hit the Body Shot (DDT) and grab the win to advance. Moondog Lonnie Mayne Memorial Tag Team Tournament First Round Match : The Force Of July (The Patriot & The Eagle) vs. The Juice Crew (Beetlejuice & Big Juice) The last match of the first round pitted one of the most popular duos in PCW against one of the most bizarre. While the unusual personalities and tactics of the Juice Crew did bedevil the FOJ for much of the match, the masked pair were able to overpower the Wild Things team by hitting a double flying shoulder block on Beetlejuice and get the win. Silver King vs. Masahiro Chono Silver King came in with a noticeable limp from his recent match with Dean Malenko. While the Mexican star put in a brave effort against Chono, Chono is far too dangerous to face with any kind of injury. Chono mercilessly attacked his injured leg throughout the match before Silver King finally went down. Chono then swiftly applied the STF and forced Silver King to tap out. A valiant showing by Silver King but, in the end, it just wasn't enough. Bret Hart vs. Barry Windham Ever since their arrival in PCW, these two second generation stars have had several matches over the years renowned for their excellence. This one did have the phantom presence of the mysterious Triangle Of Terror hanging over it, but apart from some anxious glancing on Windham's part early in the match, there was no sign of them through the match's duration. This was another wrestling masterclass, with Windham's attempts to overpower Bret being held off by the legendary Hart Family toughness. Windham was able to block any attempts to get him in the Sharpshooter, but at the same time, he was unable to keep Hart's shoulders to the mat for long. After a long and arduous battle, Windham looked to put him away when he hoisted him up top for the Superplex. Once he came off, Hart was able to pivot in mid air and land on top of Windham. At this point, Windham had nothing left in the tank and Hart got the three count. After the match, Bret attempted to show Windham some respect, but it was now that the lights went out and the Triangle Of Terror sign was beamed into the ring. When order was restored, Windham went tearing off to the locker room, dead set on finding out who was tormenting him. Golden State Tag Team Title Match : The Rainbow Warriors (Vic Steamboat & Brian Adams) © vs. The Midnight Express While the story of the Midnight Express in PCW has been generally one of consistent success, the loss of the Golden State Tag Team Titles at Aloha Spectacular has very much stuck in their collective craw. Hot off their spectacular victory at the Crockett Cup over some of the greatest tag teams in the world, Jim Cornette's men came determined to take back the titles by hook or by crook. They certainly gave Steamboat and Adams everything they had, but the champions just kept bouncing back and retaliating with full vigour. When the Rainbow Warriors hit the Refraction (suspended vertical suplex by Adams into a flying cross body press by Steamboat) on Eaton, it looked like that was pretty much it. But Jim Cornette jumped up to the ring apron, grabbing the attention of the referee. When Steamboat went over to confront him, a mysterious masked man dressed all in black rushed into the ring, hit Adams with a DDT , then put Eaton on top of him before sliding back out of the ring. When Steamboat turned around, he was met with a savate kick from Lane that sent him out of the ring. The ref had not seen the outside interference and had no choice but to make the three count. Just goes to show you that, whenever you think you have him dead to rights, Jim Cornette always has an ace up his sleeve. Pacific Light Heavyweight Title Match : Brian Christopher © vs. Eddie Guerrero Speaking of Jim Cornette, he didn't have much time for locker room celebrating as he had to turn around and go right back out to accompany his young Light Heavyweight champ to the ring. Ever since Brian Christopher won the title from Cheetah Kid last year, Christopher has been ruthless in his defense of the title, but he may have met his match in Eddie Guerrero. While Guerrero may be young, he has been well trained by his father and brothers, and has brought a panache all his own to the ring. Guerrero was able to clock all of Christopher's dirty tactics and fend off any attempted interference on the part of Cornette. Even when a distraction from Cornette set him up for the Chris Cross (Full Nelson Facebuster) , Eddie blocked it by grabbing the ropes, then countered with a devastating Russian Legsweep. He swiftly ascended the top rope and followed up with the Frog Splash. One … two … THREE! Guerrero had done it and was now the new Light Heavyweight champion! The crowd celebrated with him as this new era of the Light Heavyweight Title had begun. Loser Leaves Town Match : Scott Hall vs. Curt Hennig These two former friends have been relentlessly after each other for the past year, and things have gotten so heated, it has become clear that the West Coast is not big enough for both of them. It all comes down to this match, and afterwards, one of them will be gone. These two didn't wait for the bell to start tearing into each other. There were numerous points at which the ref could have called for a DQ, but knowing the high stakes of the match, he gave both men considerable leeway and saw it as his duty to just make the count. Both men got numerous near counts, and the tension increased exponentially as the match wore on. Hennig came very close on several occasions to execute the Perfect Plex, only for Hall to find a way to escape. In the end, the rage of the Gator was too much to contain. Hall exploded out of the corner and levelled Hennig with a clothesline. He then hit the Gator Breaker (fallaway slam) but that still wasn't enough. The grabbed the prone one time Pacific Heavyweight Campion, hoisted him on his shoulders and executed a crucifix power bomb that would be dubbed the Gator Driver. The three count was academic. Hall looked at his formed comrade with a mix of anger and regret as he staggered away from the ring, but regardless, Mr. Perfect's time in PCW had come to an end. Pacific Television Title Match : Brian Pillman © vs. Buddy Rose In the past month, the various members of the Playboy Club have been picking away at Flyin' Brian, softening him up for his match with their leader. Pillman has held up against this remarkably well, but was conspicuously battered and worn down coming into this match. Pillman put up an heroic fight with the Playboy, doing everything he could to stay out of Rose's traps. We was in the middle of making his comeback when Scotty The Body and Mark Starr rushed down to ringside, no doubt up to no good. Whatever their plans, they found themselves intercepted by the Dreamboats . While the two teams were brawling at ringside, the ref went out to get them to cease and desist. While all this was going on, Pillman went up top to finish off Rose, only to be shoved off by Mike Awesome, who appeared out of nowhere. Awesome quickly hit a running legdrop before dashing out of the ring. Rose immediately capitalized with the Inside Out Backbreaker and the ref then made it back into the ring to count to three. The fans were hugely disappointed, but it just goes to show that you should never underestimate the Playboy, especially in his home town of Las Vegas .
