Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the LA Sports Arena, Los Angeles, on ESPN / TSN Pacific Super Cards, March 27th The Thundercats (Too Cold Scorpio & Norman Smiley) vs. Iron & Steel (Tony Atlas & Larry Cameron) Atlas caught Scorpio coming off the ropes with a powerslam for the win Owen Hart vs. Mr. Hito Owen rolled up Hito with a Victory Roll out of the corner to score the three count Shane Douglas vs. Dan Severn Douglas won by DQ when he was attacked by the Suicide Blondes. Severn was clearly furious with the Blondes as they left the ring together. Vic Steamboat & Badd Company vs. Brian Adams & the Hart Foundation Once again, Steamboat was so focused on going after Adams that he was blindsided by a running tackle by Neidhart. Hart and Neidhart then hit the Hart Attack for the victory. The Brigade (Mike Rotunda, Barry Windham, Ron Simmons, Scott Hall, Tom Magee & Brickhouse Brown) vs. ?? ?? The Brigade were the first ones out, looking eager but cautious for what would lay in store. Then came Percy Pringle, "Mean" Mike Miller and Joel Deaton, looking well pleased with themselves for their grand scheme. Pringle then got on the mic and announced their first partner, from Kansas City , Missouri … "Cowboy" Bob Orton! Perhaps not a huge surprise, given his recent interaction with Mike Miller. But wasn't expected was a tenacious and determined look in his eye. Lately, Orton had lost of lot of focus, with several dispirited efforts in his matches. Tonight, that was all gone, and the Ace was ready to go. Then Percy announced the next two members of their team, former Pacific Tag Team Champions … Jimmy Del Ray and Randy Rose, the Vice Squad! This was more of a surprise, as Randy Rose had not been seen in PCW since New Years. If they were back together, this meant that the already intense competition in the PCW tag division was about to get even more frantic. Then Percy Pringle's maniacal grin somehow got even wider. With a sense of unveiling the piece de resistance, he announced the 6th and final member of their team … Stan "The Lariat" Hansen! A gasp went up from the crowd and the Brigade went from looking wary to deeply concerned. The Mad Man from Borger had been getting more violent and unhinged in his past few matches, coming very close to being suspended. If he was now aligning himself with Pringle and Miller's crew, their situation just went from precarious to downright dangerous. Pringle then cackled gleefully that they were the new Crazy Gang and Pacific Coast Wrestling would never be the same again. With that, the match got underway, and it soon became clear that the new Crazy Gang were a force to be reckoned with. Miller and Deaton showed that they had learned every dirty trick in the book, and had written several new pages to boot. Orton was looking like a new man, expertly taking command of the ring with confidence. The Vice Squad showed the tag team fluidity and cunning that had brought them to the top of the PCW tag ranks. And Hansen … well, he was just a monster, brutalizing anyone who got in his path. But the Brigade had worked to hard and come to far to be swept away just like that. Windham and Rotunda Took charge and rallied their team, making the Crazy Gang pay some dues for their earlier brutality. Brickhouse and Magee started to gel as a partnership, hitting some impressive double team moves. Simmons was tough as nails, refusing to back down from the Crazy Gang and administering a considerable amount of punishment on them. And Hall unleashed some devastating power moves, tossing around Rose and Del Ray like they weighed nothing. But when it came to Stan Hansen, it seemed like the Gator had bitten off more than he could chew. Nothing he did put so much of a dent in the ornery Texan, and soon Hansen had staggered him with powerful shoulder tackles, followed by him unloading on him with a whalloping lariat that put the big Floridian down for good. After that, the three count was academic and the new Crazy Gang had scored an impressive win. The Brigade had been flying high before, but now they have acquired some serious rivals. Pacific Television Title Match : Bam Bam Bigelow © vs. Chris Adams The English challenger used his skill and mobility to bedevil the champ, peppering him with kicks and shots that wore Bam Bam down. But he was unable to land the decisive hit with the Superkick and the champ weathered out the storm, catching Adams in the corner with an avalanche then following up with a running splash to score the pinfall in a hard fought defense. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Eddie Gilbert © vs. The Great Muta Gilbert won by DQ when Muta sprayed the ref in the face with the Green Mist. He then went crazy on Gilbert, viciously attacking and stomping him until he had to be pulled off by Chris Adams and Brian Adams.

Cool Curt beats Groovy Greg and all is as it should be in the world. Jerry Lawler shows Welch who the true King is, as if there were ever any doubt. Awesome bloody main event with Slater and the Fabs standing tall. The USWA closes out in style and opens the door for the AWA to have a great future.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Olympic Auditorium , Los Angeles , on ESPN / TSN, March 26th Jeff Jarrett vs. Adam Parkin Last week, Jeff Jarrett made his PCW debut in a losing effort against Mr. Hito. This week, he was looking to come back from that loss in his match with the rookie Adam Parkin. Jarrett was full of enthusiasm in a very energetic effort where he was able to get the crowd behind him with his speed and good nature. He easily dealt with Parkin, nailing him with all of his rapid fire moves before putting him away with a swinging neckbreaker. A decisive victory, but it remains to be seen how Jarrett will be able to deal with more high level competition. Robbie Brookside vs. David Finlay After a series of sneak attacks on Dave Taylor and British Steel, it has been revealed that the culprit was Davie "Fit" Finlay, a tough as nails third generation Northern Irish wrestler known as "The Belfast Bruiser". Brookside, seeking payback for the earlier attack, insisted on facing off with Finlay in the ring. Brookside was accompanied by both his partner Steven Regal and his mentor Dave Taylor, and Taylor had a profoundly worried look on his face. The look was justified as Finlay tore into Brookside, blasting him with fists of granite and devastating clotheslines. The always game Brookside would spring back up, ready to lock horns with Finlay, but the fighting Irishman would just knock him back down again. After pounding him on the ground with a series of vicious stomps, Finlay wrapped up Brookside in a move he called the Celtic Knot (modified Indian Deathlock). Brookside was clearly in excruciating pain, but he held out for as long as he could, until Taylor bellowed at the ref to end the match, and it was awarded to Finlay. Even then, Finlay wouldn't let the move go, until Taylor came in the ring and forced him to let it go. It looked like they were about to throw down, but Finlay thought the better of it, letting Taylor know that he would be coming for him soon enough. Interview : Frank Bonnema stands in the ring Bonnema : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guests are a much loved group of wrestlers here in Pacific Coast Wrestling … the Five Man Army! The crowd cheers as Leo Burke, Nick Busick, Bam Bam Bigelow, Shane Douglas and Steve Blackman all head out to the ring. The Five Man Army all amiably shake hands and high five with the fans on the way there, but something is clearly bothering Shane Douglas. Bonnema : Shane Douglas, let's start with you. Last week, your former partner, Todd Morton, told his side of the story of how the Gold Exchange split up, claiming that you never tried to visit him after he was injured by the Wild Bulls . How do you respond? Douglas : Well, Mr. Bonnema, what he said was a complete distortion. It wasn't that long ago that Todd and I were teaming as the Gold Exchange. We had a lot of ambition, but then we ran into the Wild Bulls. They really did a number on both of us, putting Todd in the hospital. By the time I was able to make it to the hospital to try to visit him, I was told that he had checked himself out. When I went to his apartment, I was told that he had moved out and back to Alabama, leaving no forwarding address. It was like he had dropped off the face of the earth. I was worried about him, but I had no way of finding out what had happened to him. What could I do? It's not like there is some sort of magic phone where I can call him wherever he is! The next time I see him, he is interfering in a match that Steve and I were having. Now he is teaming up with Chris Candido and hanging out with the Hollywood Knights. He won't even give me the time of day, let alone give me a chance to explain. Much as it hurts for me to say, but to all intents and purposes, our friendship is over, and not by my hand. Leo Burke : *putting an arm around Douglas' shoulders* I'm sorry to hear all of that, Shane, I know it took a lot for you to say. But there is something else here we want to address. I want to call out to the ring someone who I know is back in the locker room … Jeff Jarrett! Jarrett, looking a bit confused, comes down the aisle and enters the ring where the Five Man Army are waiting for him. Burke : Jeff, we've been watching your matches. You have a lot of talent and a lot of potential. We all agree that you have what it takes to be part of the Army. I've done what I can to help the guys develop as wrestlers, and I think I can help with you. If you want, there is a place for you in the Army. What do you say? Jarrett : *looking embarrassed* Ummmm, that is an incredibly flattering offer, and this is really difficult to say, but I have to say …. no. *a gasp comes up from the crowd and Burke and the Army are clearly taken by surprise* If I could please explain myself … I am from Tennessee. Back where I come from, my father, Jerry Jarrett, is a legend. When I was growing up, everyone asked me when I was going to step in the ring myself. There were lot's of big expectations for Jerry Jarrett's kid. Well, I love and respect my dad, but I didn't want that. Don't get me wrong, I wanted to be a wrestler more than anything. But I wanted to do it on my own terms, not riding on the coattails of my father. That's why I came out here to Pacific Coast Wrestling, so I could make a name for myself outside of being Jerry Jarrett's son. So for now, I have to walk my own path and figure things out for myself. I will make mistakes, but they will be my own mistakes, and if I fall flat on my face, I will pick myself back up. I hope you understand. Burke : Well, I can't say that I am not disappointed, but I certainly respect your reasons. Well, if you won't be a member of the Army, you are certainly a friend, and if you ever need a hand, you can call on us. *the rest of the Army nod* Jarrett : Thank you very much, Mr. Burke, that means a lot to me. Brian Pillman vs. Bret Hart Since winning the Golden State Tag Team Titles, the Snowbirds have faced a lot of challenges from the Suicide Blondes. But recently, a new challenge has arisen from Gary Hart's team of the Hart Foundation. Tonight, one member of each team would square off in a very tight contest. Pillman was all fire and speed, nailing some precision dropkicks and high flying moves. But Hart had a distinct advantage of experience, luring Pillman into a number of traps and capitalizing . Pillman thought he had Hart lined up for the Air Pillman, but Hart was only playing possum, and nailed Pillman with a forearm shot to the face. Pillman went crashing back out to the ringside barricade, and Hart went out and tossed him back in he ring before hitting a Russian Legsweep for the pinfall. How long will the Snowbirds be able to hold out against the dual challenges of the Hart Foundation and the Suicide Blondes? Brickhouse Brown vs. Mark Herlaar Brickhouse, an experience up and comer from various southern promotions, was making his Pacific Coast debut, and was making it with some impressive company, with all of the members of the Brigade showing up at ringside to cheer him on. Brickhouse was a handsome and athletic wrestler who handled Herlaar with ease, bouncing him around the ring before hitting a missile dropkick to finish him off. After the match, all of the Brigade entered the ring and congratulated Brickhouse. Frank Bonnema soon joined them. Bonnema : Mike Rotunda, am I right in assuming that there is a new member of the Brigade? Rotunda : You've got that right, Frank Bonnema. We are over the moon about having Brickhouse in the Brigade, he's the last piece of the puzzle. I said that 1986 is the year that the Brigade breaks out, and Brickhouse … Rotunda is cut off as the arena plays "Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers" by ZZ Top over the PA. Most of the Brigade are annoyed, but Scott Hall is livid when he sees who are headed to the ring : "Mean" Mike Miller , Joel Deaton and Percy Pringle III. Hall : You creeps are the ones who keep interfering in Tom and my matches. What is your problem? Miller : Well, I'll tell you what my problem is. When I left PCW, it was a place where real men fought to show who was the toughest. I come back here and what do I find? A bunch of muscled up pretty boys who don't know a wristlock from a wristwatch, flexing and showing off. *Hall and Magee bristle at this* I hear you young snots running your mouths about how the Brigade is going to break out … well, maybe with acne, but you don't have what it takes to win a straight up fight. Rotunda : So what exactly are you after here? Pringle : Well, boys, you seem awfully proud of your little six man glee club here. Are you ready to put your money where your mouth is? The six of you, in a match tomorrow night at the LA Sports Arena, taking on a team of our own? Rotunda : *eyeing Pringle suspiciously* Six? I see only two wrestlers with you, fat man, who exactly is going to fill out your team? Pringle : Don't you worry yourself about that, young Michael, we will all be present and accounted for when the match starts. Hall : *grabbing the microphone* I don't care who you bring with you, YOU ARE ON! Rotunda looks concerned, but Pringle and his men take that as a commitment and head back to the locker room, cackling all the way. Rick Gantner vs. Chavo Guerrero Lately, the Guerrero Brothers have been mounting a concerted campaign against the Pacific Tag Team champions the Wild Bulls, coming very close but as yet coming short of taking the titles. In this singles match, one half of the champs would face off against Chavo Guerrero. Gantner tried to overpower Guerrero, but Chavo always seemed to be just a step ahead of the big Bull. Gantner was able to knock Chavo outside the ring and got set to hit him with a clothesline, but Chavo ducked at the last second and Gantner hit his arm hard on the corner post. Rick Gantner was in considerable pain and Chavo was pointing at his own head, quite satisfied with his own cleverness. Gantner was unable to make it back into the ring and Chavo got the victory by countout. The Wild Bulls are clearly going to have to take the challenge from the Guerreros seriously. Badd Company vs. The Suicide Blondes (Chris Candido & Todd Morton) The competition in the PCW Tag Team division is reaching a fever pitch, with many talented teams jostling for a shot at the Pacific and Golden State tag titles. Both Badd Company and the Suicide Blondes are looking to stand out from the crowd, and both teams went full velocity at each other. Badd Company had been working together for quite some time and kept control for much of the match, but the always volatile Blondes would find a way to get out of trouble, by hook or by crook. But things took a turn when Black Gold (Steve Blackman and Shane Douglas) showed up at ringside. They didn't do anything to interfere, only staring down Morton and Candido, but the Blondes were clearly unnerved, shouting insults out to Black Gold. Things went even stranger when the Hart Foundation came out and attacked Black Gold, soon followed by the Snowbirds joining the fray. All of this proved to be too much distraction for the Blondes, leading to Morton being blindsided by a cartwheel kick by Tanaka resulting in a three count. Badd Company decided to just take the win and left the Blondes to a four way brawl with the remaining teams, who had to be cleared out by PCW security.

PCW drops Todd Champion and adds Brickhouse Brown.

I've managed to stockpile PCW with a fair number of my personal favorites, but perhaps Simmons is the most obvious. Tag tournament ... hmmmmmmm.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the ARCO Arena, Sacramento, March 22nd Keiichi Yamada vs. Mr. Hito A tight technical battle that Yamada won with a running palm thrust to the jaw Scott Hall & Tom Magee vs. "Mean" Mike Miller & Joel Deaton Miller and Deaton were accompanied by Percy Pringle III in this match and seemed to have a never ending supply of dirty tricks and shortcuts to bedevil Hall and Magee. At one point, Miller hit a nasty eye gouge on Hall, which enraged the Gator. Hall started blasting Miller with lefts and rights before unleashing a huge clothesline, but Miller ducked at the last second and instead Hall levelled the ref. When he recovered, the ref called for the DQ, giving the match to Miller and Deaton. Pringle's men cackled all the way back to the locker room, clearly pleased with the underhanded victory they pulled off. Barry Windham, Mike Rotunda & Ron Simmons vs. The Midnight Express & Big Bubba Rogers Windham, Rotunda and Simmons are three big men, but even they found Big Bubba Rogers a lot to try to corral. After a titanic struggle with Cornette's team, Simmons was able to hit a crushing shoulder tackle on Rogers that took them both out of the ring. This gave Windham the opening to hit a running bulldog headlock on Eaton, giving the Brigade an incredibly hard fought win. The Snowbirds (Owen Hart & Brian Pillman) & Black Gold (Shane Douglas & Steve Blackman) vs. The Hart Foundation & The Suicide Blondes (Chris Candido & Todd Morton) In this showdown featuring 4 of the top tag teams in PCW, the Harts and the Blondes were clearly not getting along throughout the match, but they managed to hold things together long enough for Bret Hart to hit a flying clotheline on Pillman, giving them the victory and staking a claim for the Hart Foundation to potentially be top contenders for the Snowbirds' Golden State Tag Team Titles. Jim Duggan, Nick Busick, Bam Bam Bigelow & Leo Burke vs. Buddy Rose, Ed Wiskowski and Chavo & Hector Guerrero For this chapter of their ongoing and brutal feud, Duggan and Busick brought in some more members of the Five Man Army, while the Playboy Club called on the always dangerous Guerrero Brothers. It still wound up boiling down to Duggan and the Playboys, with Hacksaw managing to nail a bloodied Wiskowski with the three point clothesline and just barely hold him down for the pinfall. Pacific Tag Team Title Match : The Wild Bulls (Ed & Rick Gantner) © vs. Iron & Steel (Tony Atlas & Larry Cameron) Ever since winning the Pacific Tag Team Titles, the Wild Bulls have drawn the attention from a series of incredibly tough contenders, but thus far have been able to maintain their grip on the belts. Iron & Steel waged an absolute war on the Gantner Brothers , being able to match up with them strength for strength. Ultimately, Ed Gantner was able to catch Cameron with the Bull Hammer (running forearm smash to the face) and put a stop to Iron & Steel's challenge. The Wild Bulls had managed to remain champions, although just barely. Eddie Gilbert & Vic Steamboat vs. The Great Muta & Brian Adams The returning Steamboat was set on revenge against the "American Ninja" Brian Adams, going after him every chance he got. This wound up costing him, as he was so focused on Adams, this led to him being blindsided by a spin kick from Muta, followed by the Moonsault that got the victory for Gary Hart International.

Loving the vibe you have for the shows. The Lisa Moretti storyline is all kinds of amazing.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Selland Arena, Fresno, March 21st Jeff Jarrett vs. Mr. Hito Jarrett caught Hito in a rollup out of the corner, but Hito reversed it with a roll through and kept Jarrett's shoulders to the mat for the one two three. Ron Simmons vs. Chavo Guerrero Chavo really put Simmons through his paces, keeping one step ahead of the All American for much of the match, until Simmons was able to catch him with the spear and score the pinfall Norman Smiley vs. "Mean" Mike Miller Miller had Joel Deaton and Percy Pringle III in his corner for this match where he defeated Smiley after an intense battle with an over the shoulder neckbreaker Vic Steamboat vs. Brian Adams The hatred between these two men ignited in a brawl that spilled out onto the outside of the ring, resulting in a no contest Scott Hall & Tom Magee vs. Iron & Steel (Tony Atlas & Larry Cameron) During the course of this match , Mike Miller and Joel Deaton made there way down to ringside and wound up pulling down the top rope, causing Hall to tumble to the outside. Hall took a nasty spill and was not able to make it back into the match. Magee did the best he could, but could not overcome the numbers and ended up going down to the Harlem Hammer (running double axehandle to the back of the head and neck) from Cameron Golden State Tag Team Title Match : The Snowbirds (Owen Hart & Brian Pillman) © vs. The Suicide Blondes (Chris Candido & Todd Morton) An incredibly fast paced match with both teams looking to prove themselves. This was a real coming out party for the Blondes, who more than held their own against the champs and only came up short when Morton came off the top rope only to be met with a dropkick to the face from Owen to give the match to the Snowbirds. Pacific Television Title Match : Bam Bam Bigelow © vs. Hector Guerrero Much like his brother earlier in the evening, Hector conducted a masterful cat and mouse campaign against the Beast From The East, coming very close to taking the title on a number of occasions. But when he went for the Guerrero Clutch, the resilient Bigelow broke out of the attempt with some mighty elbow smashes to the face, and followed up with a running splash to get the three count.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Cow Palace , San Francisco, on Pacific Super Cards, March 20th Pacific Light Heavyweight Title Match : Too Cold Scorpio © vs. Todd Morton The newest member of the Hollywood Knight proved to be quite a handful for Scorpio to try to contain, but he was ultimately able to successfully defend his title with a diving legdrop. Tom Magee vs. Joel Deaton Deaton was accompanied by both "Mean" Mike Miller and his manager, Percy Pringle III. Deaton knocked Magee over the top rope with a clothesline, but Magee was able catch himself on the top rope. Magee was about to skin the cat back into the ring, but Miller took Pringle's walking stick and clobbered Magee in the head with it, causing Megaman to fall to the outside. Magee was unable to make the count back into the ring, giving the match to Deaton by Countout. Scott Hall came out soon afterwards, getting in the face of Miller and Pringle for what they had done to his Brigade partner. It looked like they might come to blows, before security intervened and sent them back to their separate locker rooms. Keiichi Yamada & Hiroshi Hase vs. Tracy Smothers & Dan Severn Yamada came out with tights in a similar rising sun pattern to Hase's trunks. Does this mean he is now in the Snowbirds? "Mr. Hollywood" Tracy Smothers wound up getting overconfident and ran jaw first into a running palm thrust by Yamada that gave the Japanese star the pinfall. The California Champ was riding high before, but now it looks like he is facing a serious challenge from his former partner. Scott Hall vs. Mando Guerrero Guerrero took the Gator to his limits, but Hall was able to catch him coming off the ropes with a big power slam to pull out the win Dave Taylor vs. Chris Adams This match between two tough Englishmen was just getting underway when, once again, the mystery man in the hooded grey sweatshirt made his presence felt, attacking Taylor and causing a DQ. Adams didn't seem to upset by this, and stood back laughing while the stranger put the boots to Taylor. But he then tried to congratulate the man, and the smile vanished and was replaced by a look of horror when he pulled down the hood and showed his face. The stranger then attacked Adams, knocking him to the mat and pounding him with lefts and rights. It took the full complement of PCW security to subdue the man and lead him off in handcuffs. Even then, he was bellowing all the way as they took him away. Black Gold (Shane Douglas & Steve Blackman) vs. The Midnight Express Jim Cornette looked like he was about to toss in his tennis racquet , but the ref spotted him and threatened his team with disqualification if he did. This turned out to all be a ruse on the part of the Louisville Lip, as his bodyguard, Big Bubba Rogers, took advantage of the distraction and snuck into the ring, hitting a Bubba Slam on Blackman. The ref turned around and saw Condrey covering Blackman, and made the count to give the win to the Midnights. That didn't seem to be enough for Rogers, who grabbed Douglas and looked to do some more damage. Leo Burke immediately dove into the ring, interposing himself between Big Bubba and he two young charges. Burke put his fists up, but Rogers was not about to back down, and it took Cornette and both of the Midnight Express pulling him away to keep him from going at it with Burke. Jim Duggan & Nick Busick vs. Buddy Rose & Ed Wiskowski A wild brawl that ended when Rose hit a nasty low blow from behind on Duggan, leaving him prey for a big clothesline from Easy Ed that gave the win to the Playboy Club. Pacific Tag Team Title Match : The Wild Bulls (Ed & Rick Gantner) © vs. Chavo & Hector Guerrero The Guerrero Brothers have proved to be formidable challengers to the champs, but the Gantner Brothers have shown considerable development in their ring abilities and rose to the challenge, with Rick putting down Hector with a big boot to the face Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Eddie Gilbert © vs. The Great Muta These two had a vicious match that ended with both men brawling outside the ring, leading to a double countout decision. Clearly, this feud is showing no sign of slowing down.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Oakland Alameda County Arena, Oakland, on ESPN / TSN, March 19th Jeff Jarrett vs. Mr. Hito Making his debut tonight is Jeff Jarrett, a young third generation wrestler out of Hendersonville , Tennessee. The son of wrestling legend Jerry Jarrett and grandson of promoter Eddie Marlin, Jarrett is a friendly and enthusiastic man eager to make a good impression in his first match. His opponent is the returning Mr. Hito, the veteran Japanese superstar who is coming back to his position as enforcer for Gary Hart International. Jarrett showed considerable skill in his match with Hito, but also a fair amount of recklessness, letting himself fall into some traps set by Hito that he was only able to escape thanks to his considerable speed and athleticism. This culminated in Jarrett going up to for a missile dropkick, only for Hito to dodge out of the way, sending Jarrett crashing hard into the mat. Hito then picked up the dazed Jarrett and executed a backdrop suplex for the three count. A disappointment for Jarrett, but he showed good grace in bowing to Hito after the match and high fiving the fans on his way out. Despite the loss, one can see a bright future in the wrestling business for young Jarrett. Stan Hansen vs. Craig L'Anson Stan Hansen has been increasingly out of control, of late, mauling a series of rookies in some incredibly one sided beatings. L'Anson looked terrified to be stepping into the ring with the Madman from Borger. His misgivings were proven right when Hansen ploughed into him the moment the ring bell rang and started pounding him with merciless punches and kicks before flattening him with a mighty lariat for the pinfall that was pretty much a foregone conclusion. Once again, Hansen did not let the fun stop there, dropping huge elbow drops on the prone L'Anson and even threatening the ref when he tried to put a stop to it. It was only the threat of suspension that put a stop to him slugging the ref, and that only just seemed to hold him back. It was just this sort of behaviour that sent Hansen out of the territory in the first place, and unless somebody finds a way to rein in the master of the Lariat, his time in Pacific Coast Wrestling may well be coming to a close. Interview : Frank Bonnema stands in the ring Bonnema : Ladies and gentlemen, my next guests are a group of wrestlers who are creating a lot of waves in Pacific Coast Wrestling … the Hollywood Knights! Boos rain down as "Mr. Hollywood" Tracy Smothers, Dan Severn, Chris Candido and Todd Morton head out to the ring, but that does nothing to diminish their usual arrogance. Bonnema : My first question has to be directed at Todd Morton … last we saw you, you were part of a promising tag team with Shane Douglas, the Gold Exchange. Now you come back, and not only do you attack your former partner and friend, but you line yourself up with the Hollywood Knights. What on earth has gotten into you? Morton : Don't you tell me that Shane Douglas was my friend! We were supposed to be a team, the Gold Exchange! But we take on the Wild Bulls, and he just stands by and lets them send me out on a stretcher. I get put in a hospital , and where is Shane Douglas? Does he visit me? No! So much for his so called friendship. When I was able to make it back from PCW, I didn't bother with that backstabber. I found real friends in the Hollywood Knights, and a real partner in Chris Candido. The Gold Exchange is dead, and the Suicide Blondes are the team of the future. Bonnema : Speaking of former friends … Tracy Smothers, you have having a pretty free rein of things lately, but your old partner, Keiichi Yamada , has come back to spoil your partner. Smothers : Hey, that's no concern of mine! Yamada is just a sore sport. Mr. Hollywood has been doing just fine without him cluttering up my life. I'm the California champ, the leader of the Hollywood Knights, I've accomplished more than he could ever dream of. A murmur rumbles in the crowd as Keiichi Yamada shows up at ringside, giving Smothers a death glare. Smothers doesn’t let that break his stride. Smothers : Yeah, I'm talking to you! What have you been able to accomplish … Light Heavyweight champ? You weren't even able to hold onto that! I'm the California Champion, and I did it all without you. I don't need you, I don't need the Southern Boys … the only people I need are right here in the Hollywood Knights. The Beast, the Suicide Blondes … I sure don't need some nobody from Japan trying to sponge off my reflected glory! This is too much for Yamada, who dives into the ring and attacks Smothers. He gets in a few good shots before the rest of the Knights swarm him. Even he isn't able to overcome the overwhelming numbers, and things look very bad for Yamada until the Snowbirds (Owen Hart, Brian Pillman & Hiroshi Hase) charge in to run off the Knights. They help Yamada back up to his feet and assist him to the back. Barry Windham & Mike Rotunda vs. Bob Orton & Jimmy Del Ray Bob Orton seems to have taken the twin losses of the Television Title and the rest of the Crazy Gang particularly hard, resulting in a series of dispirited performances of late. This has been increasingly frustrating for Jimmy Del Ray, who is trying to reestablish himself in PCW but finding himself being weighed down by Orton's lack of focus. It seemed like Del Ray was determined to win this match entirely on his own, and gave a credible effort against the Brigade, but he could only do so much on his own and tried to tag Orton into the match. Orton couldn't bring himself to get much done in the ring, and eventually Del Ray demanded to be tagged back in. It was at this point that, of all people, "Mean" Mike Miller showed up at ringside, watching the proceedings with a deep, displeased scowl on his face. Del Ray did his best, but ultimately went down to a running bulldog headlock from Windham. After the match, Del Ray started shouting at Orton, who simply took it with a hangdog look on his face. It was then that Mike Miller interposed himself between the two of them, and shocked all present by slapping Orton hard across the face. The Cowboy gave him a stunned look , and Miller grabbed both men by the back of the hair and led them to the back, snarling at them all the way. Only time will tell what Miller has in mind for these two men. Steven Regal vs. Rick Steiner This match never had a chance to get started. On his way to the ring, Regal was ambushed by the mysterious man in the grey hooded sweatshirt, who clobbered Regal from behind with a huge clothesline and started stomping Regal into the aisle. Dave Taylor tried to come to the rescue of his young pupil, but was met with a jackhammer punch to the jaw that staggered him before the mystery man disappeared into the night. Who is this stranger and what does he have against Taylor and British Steel? Eddie Gilbert & Badd Company vs. The Great Muta & The Hart Foundation The long standing feud between Missy Hyatt International and Gary Hart International has moved into a new phase, with the Great Muta challenging for Gilbert's Pacific Heavyweight Title. Both teams were quite familiar with each other at this point, which led to a lot of tense showdowns and much tagging in and out. Gary Hart's team started using more and more shady tactics as the match wore on, but Gilbert and Badd Co had seen it all before from them, and just dug in deeper, determined to prevail. Hart eventually decided to pull out an equalizer, sending his bodyguard , Brian Adams, to attack Paul Diamond while Jim Neidhart held him. But Adams was yanked off the ring apron by someone who appeared out of nowhere. It was Vic Steamboat! Steamboat had not been seen in several weeks since Adams had put him on the shelf, but was clearly looking for some payback as he drove back Adams with blistering chops. Diamond then seized the advantage by reversing Neidhart with a rollup that got the three count. Muta looked like he was going to try to attack Gilbert while the champ and his teammates celebrated, but Gary Hart got in his ear and convinced him now was not the time. Regardless, Hot Stuff and the Pearl Of The Orient are headed for a collision, and it is bound to be explosive.

Deaton had both Percy Pringle and Mike Miller in his corner, and Miller was seen talking quite intensely to Deaton after the match

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from McArthur Court, Eugene, March 14th Black Gold (Shane Douglas & Steve Blackman) vs. The Hart Foundation The Suicide Blondes snuck down to ringside and pulled down the ropes when Douglas was running the ropes, causing him to take a hard tumble to the outside. With Douglas dazed and the Blondes scurrying off into the night, the Harts used their 2 on 1 advantage to hit the Hart Attack on Blackman and win the match. Ron Simmons vs. Jimmy Del Ray Once again, Del Ray would square off with a member of the Brigade, and continued to give a good accounting of himself, keeping out of range of a lot of Simmons strength based moves and doing his best to wear down the All American. In the end, Simmons unleashed his sudden explosive power to nail Del Ray with a running spear and get the victory. The Thundercats (Too Cold Scorpio & Norman Smiley) vs. The Midnight Express After the previous evening's match, the Thundercats were determined not to lose because of a foreign object provided by managers, so when Jim Cornette tossed in his tennis racquet , Scorpio intercepted it and used it to clobber Bobby Eaton. Unfortunately, the ref caught him and gave the DQ win to the Midnight Express, but the Thundercats still got in several good shots on Eaton and Condrey, clearly working off a lot of frustration. Barry Windham & Mike Rotunda vs. Iron & Steel (Tony Atlas & Larry Cameron) In this rematch from Aloha Spectacular, these four hosses really put each other through the ringer. Ultimately, Windham was finally able to put Cameron down with a running bulldog headlock, but it clearly took the Brigade everything it had to pull out this win. California Title Match : Tracy Smothers © vs. Hiroshi Hase While Smothers came out with his Hollywood Knights cohort , Dan Severn, but Hase was joined by the newly returned Keiichi Yamada. While the menacing presence of Severn made sure that Yamada didn't take any direct hand in the match, but Yamada was clearly seething with rage at Smothers throughout the match. Hase and Smothers were fairly evenly balanced throughout the match, with Hase trying to finish off Smothers with a Northern Lights Suplex, but Smothers blocking it and countering with a rollup, grabbing a fistful of trunks to get the one two three. Smothers held onto his title, but his former friend now enemy doesn't look to be going away any time soon. Golden State Tag Team Title Match : The Snowbirds (Owen Hart & Brian Pillman) © vs. The Suicide Blondes (Chris Candido & Todd Morton) The new team of Candido and Morton have created enough of a buzz that they were able to score this Golden State Tag Team Title match right out of the gates and have a fast paced and exciting match with the popular Snowbirds. Unfortunately for them, they have also quickly made enemies, with Black Gold coming out to jaw with the Suicide Blondes. This provided enough of a distraction for Hart and Pillman to dropkick Candido and Morton out of the ring. Black Gold and the Blondes started slugging it out at ringside, but then the Hart Foundation charged into the ring and attack the Snowbirds, and the resulting four way brawl left the ref with no choice but to declare a No Contest. Pacific Heavyweight Title Match : Eddie Gilbert © vs. Bob Orton Bob Orton has been rather listless since Aloha Spectacular, but seemed to be making a conscious effort in this match where he got a shot at the big belt. He landed some serious shots on Gilbert and it took Gilbert coming off the top rope with an elbow smash to the head to put down the Cowboy for good. Time will tell if this will do anything to reignite the fire in the Ace.

Pacific Coast Wrestling show from the Portland Memorial Coliseum , Portland , on ESPN / TSN Pacific Super Cards, March 13th The Thundercats (Too Cold Scorpio & Norman Smiley) vs. Mike Miller & Joel Deaton Interestingly, whenever he was on the ring apron, "Mean" Mike Miller seemed to be deep in conversation with Percy Pringle III, Deaton's manager. After a tense struggle, Smiley managed to get Deaton in the Norman Conquest (Crossface Chicken Wing), but while the ref was escorting Scorpio out of the ring, Miller came in with Pringle's walking stick and used it to clobber Smiley in the back of the head. When the ref turned around, he saw Deaton covering Smiley and made the count for Deaton and Miller. Scott Hall & Tom Magee vs. Bob Orton & Jimmy Del Ray Orton has seemed to have lost some focus since losing the TV title along with the rest of the Crazy Gang, and Del Ray was getting more than a little frustrated with the Cowboy during this match. That said, Del Ray put in a game effort against Gator and the Megaman, and while he ended up taking the fall when Hall hit the Gator Breaker (fallaway slam) on him, he made the Brigade work hard for their win. British Steel (Steve Regal & Robbie Brookside) vs. The Dog Pound (Brian Knobbs & Rick Steiner) This match took a strange turn when someone in a grey sweatshirt with the hood pulled over their head came out of the audience, pulled Brookside off the ring apron and slammed him hard head first into the corner post. He then gave several hard kicks to Brookside before running off, chased by Dave Taylor. The Dog Pound took advantage of this distraction by double teaming Regal, with Steiner taking him down with a hard clothesline before Knobbs got him with a running powerslam for the win. Pacific Television Title Match : Bam Bam Bigelow © vs. Mando Guerrero The veteran Guerrero gave the Beast From The East an incredibly tough challenge, dodging a lot of his big power moves and wearing him down with a lot of submission holds. It looked like he might just pull it off when he locked Bigelow in a Sleeper Hold, but Bigelow was able to break out by driving him back first into the corner, then hit the Slingshot Splash for the pin. Pacific Tag Team Title Match : The Wild Bulls (Ed & Rick Gantner) © vs. Chavo & Hector Guerrero After losing the Golden Stat Tag Team Titles at the Aloha Spectacular, the Guerreros have been determined to prove that they are still top contenders. They went all out against the champs and pulled off a major upset when Chavo hit a running dive to the outside on both of the Gantner Brothers, then was able to make it back into the ring in time to get a win by countout. The Wild Bulls still kept the titles, but the Guerreros proved they are still a force to be reckoned with. Jim Duggan & Nick Busick vs. Buddy Rose & Ed Wiskowski A hard hitting match where Duggan and Busick were able to keep Wiskowski down after hitting a double running tackle. Eddie Gilbert & Badd Company vs. The Great Muta , Chris Adams & Brian Adams A wild match where Hyatt International continued their all out war with Hart International. After a long battle, the match came to a sudden end when Muta caught Diamond with a spin kick then raced up the ropes to hit the Moonsault for the win. Muta is certainly cinching his claim to be the top challenger for Gilbert's Pacific Heavyweight Title.

Pacific Wrestling Showcase from the Portland Sports Arena, Portland , on ESPN / TSN , Tom Magee vs. Jimmy Del Ray Last week, Tom Magee made his debut in PCW as a new member of the Brigade. Tonight, he was having his first match against the returning Jimmy Del Ray. Del Ray had not been seen in several months but was determined to not be shown up by the youngster. Both men gave a good accounting of themselves, with Magee executing some spectacular backflips that went into hard hitting power moves. Del Ray held his own, showing the canny counter wrestling and execution that had previously brought him the Pacific Tag Team Titles. The two went at it until Del Ray got reckless and ended up running into a thrust kick to the jaw that got Magee the three count. A solid first match that showed both that Magee had arrived and that Del Ray was back and meant business. The Suicide Blondes (Chris Candido & Todd Morton) vs. Barry Lea & Rohan MacLaren The Suicide Blondes are the new pairing of Chris Candido and Todd Morton. Morton made a shocking return last week, attacking his former Gold Exchange partner Shane Douglas. As yet, it is unknown why he has turned on Douglas, but it is clear that he is now solidly in the camp of the Hollywood Knights. He and Candido have definitely gelled as a team, swiftly tagging in and out and hitting combination moves including a double dropkick that put away MacLaren. Another talented new team has joined the busy PCW tag team ranks, but the question remains : what has gotten into Todd Morton? Scott Hall vs. Bob Orton The other newest member of the Brigade had his first PCW match, taking on the veteran "Cowboy" Bob Orton. Orton was coming off the twin losses of the Pacific Television Title and the rest of the Crazy Gang, and seemed a bit off kilter for much of the match. Hall kept nailing him with huge clothelines and slams, and Orton seemed to have difficulty getting it together. Hall finally hit the Gator Breaker (fallway slam) for the pinfall, Hall's fortunes are on the rise in PCW, but will Orton be able to pull it together and stop his own descent? Joel Deaton vs. Andrew Torrens Another new star making his debut in PCW is "Outlaw" Joel Deaton, a big galoot from Texas, along with his rather, err, eccentric manager, Percy Pringle III . Pringle was certainly a bizarre presence at ringside, cackling and giggling throughout the match. Deaton himself was all business, manhandling the rookie Torrens with ease before dispatching him with a big boot to the head. Definitely an impressive debut for Deaton and Pringle, but they certainly have their work cut out for them, making their own mark in the tumultuous Pacific Coast scene. Nick Busick vs. Ted Wiskowski This was a battle between not just two world class mustaches but two of the hardest hitting heavyweights in Pacific Coast. Busick was looking for revenge on the Polish Prince after their match in Kelowna, but once again, Easy Ed had "Playboy" Buddy Rose in his corner, providing plentiful distraction. Regardless, these two went at it fist and fire in a high impact match. The pendulum of momentum swung back and forth in this match, but it looked like the balance had tipped in favor of Busick when he got Wiskowski set up for the Busick Bender (stump puller). But just like in Kelowna, Rose broke it up by entering the ring and clobbering Busick with a set of brass knuckles to cause a DQ finish. He and Wiskowski continued attacking Busick until "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan charged in, and he and Busick rallied to run off Rose and Wiskowski. Duggan has been outnumbered in his feud with the Playboy Club, but may have found just the equalizer he needs in The Man From Powerhouse Hill. California Title Match : Tracy Smothers © vs. Brian Pillman This was another rematch from Kelowna, with Pillman having given such a good accounting of himself in the earlier match to earn himself a second shot at the title. Mr. Hollywood had clearly scouted Pillman in the previous match, and was a lot more prepared for him. But the dynamic young Cincinnati native still gave the champ quite a fight, with Smothers going to increasingly dirty tactics to try to keep his grip on the title. This reached a peak when Pillman attempted hit a DDT on Smothers, only for Smothers to cut it off with a low blow kick. Smothers then further staggered Pillman with several elbow smashes before coming off the top with the Jawjacker for the victory. A tainted win, but Smothers celebrated like it was an epic triumph … until a gasp came up from the audience and Smothers noticed someone standing at ringside, staring at him. It was Keiichi Yamada! Smothers former friend and partner had returned to PCW and was staring daggers at Mr. Hollywood. Smothers was clearly shocked at the Japanese superstar's reappearance, and the show closed with them staring each other down.

Thinking of a reality competition named Top Shot. One of the competitors in the first season was a retired British soldier named Ian. There was a scene when everyone was stuck inside the house during a rainstorm. Cue Ian standing on the front porch : "*grin* I'm an Englishman who moved to Oregon. Do you think I mind a little rain?" I figure the British and Irish wrestlers are an ideal fit for the Pacific Northwest climate.
