[1998-05-11-WWF-Raw] Al Snow Locked Out
The last of these vignettes tonights as now Snow is locked out of the building and Cornette gets in a dig that free tickets arent given out here.

[1998-05-11-WWF-Raw] Goldust promo
This was a good progression for the character and felt like the next step given the weirdness. Dustin buries the Goldust character and says Vince will not forget the name of Dustin. I want to book a tag with him and Owen to run the tag division against the Outlaws.

[1998-05-11-WWF-Raw] Interview: DX
DX is full on babyface and run down their array of catchphrases to the crowds delight. I hate that Owen comes out to interrupt them as they really dropped the ball on him and it is the most glaring mistake in WWF this year. He apparently leads the Nation into a fight vs. DX.

[1998-05-11-WWF-Raw] DX at CNN Center
That building did look awful and run down. I thought this was a cool with them in the CNN Center as you can sense a lot of unease with security and other people at DX's being present. Much more cutting edge feeling than Bischoff challenging Vince.

[1998-05-11-WWF-Raw] The Undertaker, Jerry Lawler and Kane
Cool moment where Taker attacks Lawler for last weeks stuff. Paul Bearer and Kane interrupt and Bearer claims he has proof next week to show he is Kane's father. Lawler tries to make a quick escape but gets a tombstone for his troubles.

[1998-05-11-WWF-Raw] Sable vs Marc Mero
Sable is over huge and Mero is a great dick. Mero scares her with a TKO attempt and receives and kick to the balls and Sablebomb to a huge pop from the crowd.

[1998-05-11-WWF-Raw] Interview: Steve Austin
We get the iconic woman in the AUstin 3:16 cut off shirt that would be shown for years to come. Austin is wanting some clarification for tonight and the PPV. Vince, Patterson, Brisco appear on the TItantron and Vince has an awesome pun about Austin's title going over the Edge. Austin responds by saying he will shove the title up their ass. This served its purpose.

[1998-05-11-WWF-Raw] Interview: Steve Austin
Austin with another new bad ass shirt. Austin calls Patterson, Brisco, and Vince the three jackasses. Austin grabs the mic from KK and stalks after Vince.

[1998-05-11-WWF-Raw] Interview: Vince McMahon & Dude Love
With each passing sequence, we see how much in tune and focused WWF is. This was great stuff. Dude comes out a changed man with suit, a big smile, and a WSJ. The introductions and parade of Patterson and Brisco was well done. The build up to the referee was perfect and there was a lot of visceral hatred when Vince comes out.

[1998-05-11-WCW-Nitro] Hulk Hogan vs Randy Savage
Hogan misses the legdrop but is able to gain the pinfall when Disciple distracts the referee allowing Hart to hit Savage with the belt. Bret gets pasted with a drink and tells the fan to fuck off on the outside. Nash runs out and Hollywood bails. Piper comes out and makes himself the referee for Slamboree. Giant is out and wants a piece of Nash. Sting is pondering all this in the rafters. This is becomming more and more in disarray and sad by the week.

[1998-05-11-WCW-Nitro] Chris Jericho and Joe Malenko
Jericho has pretty much demolished everyone in the division so therefore he is retiring the Cruiserweight belt. JJ comes out and makes his best ruling in a while announcing the cruiserweight battle royal and subsequent title defense at Slamboree. The potrait of Dean is defaced and Joe Malenko comes out. Jericho ends up attacking Joe as he takes the picture. Great build up.

[1998-05-11-WCW-Nitro] Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash
Hogan comes out and has some focus vs. Nash and that again could have been a good feud without the faction war nonsense. Nash comes out but Hogan assures that he brought a big gun to the ring. This brings out Giant in an NWO B&W shirt and they beat down Nash and spraypaint him. Yeah, this made no sense. I guess Dusty is Wolfpac as he rushes down with that group. Speaking of which, what a motley crew that group is. Neither side looks particular strong in fact and it shows how many warm bodies were in the NWO.

[1998-05-11-WCW-Nitro] Eddy Guerrero and Chavo Guerrero Jr
Swinger took an ugly bump for the finish. I loved this as Chavo toed the line perfectly as being loyal to his family but also standing up for himself. Ultimo was a good patsy too. In a promotion without Jericho, this is the best stuff going on in WCW.

[1998-05-11-WCW-Nitro] Alex Wright and the Nitro Girls
I have always liked this a short undercard angle with someone coming up to defend the Nitro Girls. Alex is a hoot and probably has better rhythm.

Greatest of All-Time project Interest?
Choshu has plenty of matches that make md think he was one of the 100 best wrestlers on work. What I've seen if Bruno and dusty in ring presents a more hazy case. Building up items like aura and promos again feels more about their won hof credentials than the spirit if what I think this list would accomplish. We know each if those two were much bigger stars and draws thank Jushin liger. We're they better in ring workers? No fucking way. Putting in those parameters, I feel I have no choice but to put then ahead which doesn't sit well with me. I need as even a playing field across all generations as possible in evaluating candidates. Promos makes that impossible due to language constraints.
