CMLL PPV Thoughts
Panther and Casas worked their hair v. hair a lot like this last year, though that match was better than this one. I think because Panther is a world class maestro there is probably an expectation there. Yeah that was probably my #3 MOTY behind the first insane Santo tag and Cena/Brock. I guess I just had the expectation of them working that way based on Casas and Panther seeming more maestro style than Averno vs. Panther. I appreciate the learning process that comes with watching more lucha nonetheless.

CMLL PPV Thoughts
I was to surprised with how they worked this match but perhaps it was because of the main event and how that match will be worked. I did like the stuff in the first fall and the third fall built into a great climax. I would have no problems calling this at least very good to great overall.

CMLL PPV Thoughts
Is it typical for an apuestas match to result in a no pin situation like this one has?

WON HOF 2013 discussion
I would chance putting the Patera thread in the pro wrestling section Dylan. Dave gave a good response the other day in the ironic thread Rovert mentioned in which he didn't dismiss Patera as a candidate at all and emphasized the importance of being the Missouri and IC champion at the time Patera was.

Matches of the Month
#17 - Bill Alfonso vs Beulah McGillicutty (ECW As Good As It Gets 09/20/97) #18 - Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker (WWF Ground Zero 09/07/97) #19 - Eddy Guerrero vs Rey Misterio Jr. (WCW Monday Nitro 09/08/97) These three matches ranked in that order given the participants is laugh out loud funny.

Bobby Eaton vs. Ricky Morton
headscissors takeover, plancha dives, some baseball slides, and the occasional piledriver just off the top of my head.

Bobby Eaton vs. Ricky Morton
I went with Eaton but much like their forever linked careers, if I did an all timer GOAT list, these two guys would be right around each other. I think what puts Bobby over the top for me is the offense factor and compatability with different partners. On the other hand, Morton had more challenges to overcome (worst partner than Eaton ever had, generic white meat babyface motif throughout his career, not the best promo ability even though it was better than Eaton). I do think it is amazing how over Ricky Morton was in some areas but then there are some instances in watching the 1990 footage where the crowd is sort of dead for the RNR (GAB 90, I'm looking at your) and the MX in that cherry on top run had great matches and sustained heat. You could say that the RNR SMW negate this but I have enjoyed the Bobby singles stuff and especially remember digging his Havoc 91 match with Taylor. Then you get his Dangerous Alliance and even some decent Blue Bloods stuff.

[1991-06-22-USWA-Memphis TV] Eric Embry and Eddie Marlin
This is one of those classic USWA episodes they do a few times a year that really leaves an impression. Embry attacking Marlin was amazing but the best part is dave Brown slinging down the mic in disgust when he picks up Michael St. John. I also liked how smart lawler was when Marlin announced that Embry was fired, he knew he wouldn't get his match. Beautiful booking all around.

[1991-06-22-USWA-Memphis TV] Chris Candido & Don Cha Mang vs Rob Zakowski & Danny Davis
Didn't recognize Nishimura until reading about it here. Probably because my mind was blown at RVD Tommy Rogers. Cool little match and Dave Brown really got over the finish and moonsault. RVD gives a good Opie promo and has some words from Embry that should have popped the studio crowd more if they were paying attention. Lawler sucrries Embry off as the main theme of this episode.

[1991-06-22-USWA-Memphis TV] Jerry Lawler vs Eric Embry
Certainly a predictable angle but this had some nice attention to detail. A sprained ankle is a perfect injury that wouldnt show up on xrays or anything else. The beatdown to Lawler looked really good especially a stiff shot with the crutches.

[1991-06-18-AJW] Aja Kong & Bison Kimura vs Bull Nakano & Kyoko Inoue
Great match that carried a wicked pace but did also sell we needed like Loss mentioned. I would have liked to have had more emotional satisfaction at Aja really accomplishing this big victory akin to 6/9/95 but it was a neat moment seeing her reach the pinnacle anyway. Really enjoyed the joshi in 1991.

Too much wrestling
Yeah my breakdown went: 1.5 hours - dvr Raw 1 hour - Smackdown/Main Event run through usually while eating breakfast 3-6 hours - watching show for the podcast, titans or wrestling, yearbook watching 2-4 hours - random watching (youtube matches at lunch, weekly lucha Tuesday, Portland that MattD pimps, etc)
