[1991-05-25-USWA-Memphis TV] Interview: Jeff Jarrett & Robert Fuller
Good interview and I agree that the team of Jarrett/Fuller is a good one.

Clever way to throw a wrinkle in this storyline and I can't wait to see where it is going.

My favorite part of this was Fuji continuing his devious laugh even while being put into the cake.

[1991-03-29-USWA Texas] Jeff Jarrett vs Tom Prichard (Cage)
Good match but was pretty disappointing to me. I can get behind a methodical cage match if the intensity and hatred is there but I just didn't feel it between these two. I also thought Jarrett looked sloppier here than he has in a while with that awful missile dropkick and the roll up sequence not looking very smooth.

[1997-01-12-JWP] Hiromi Yagi vs Tomoko Kuzumi
I actually would like for MJH to clarify what he meant by the miserable comment? Did he just mean from IWC awareness, financial landscape of companies, or overall workrate of promotions?

[1991-05-24-AJPW-Super Power Series] Mitsuharu Misawa & Toshiaki Kawada vs Steve Williams & Terry Gordy
Im an outlier here as I thought this was a great tag and didn't have a problem with the amount of offense that Gordy/Williams put in. They were dominating and mixed in a ton of stiff strikes to neutralize Kawada/Misawa and build tot he hot tag. Gordy in particular is someone that I have been slightly down on lately but I thought he had a lot of strong strikes and pace in this match. Finish sequence paid off the match structure well and again made Misawa look like a big fn deal.

[1991-05-24-AJPW-Super Power Series] Jumbo Tsuruta vs Kenta Kobashi
I am in the Pete and Childs camp here. I don't want to downgrade the match as it is very good from the clips we see but it would really struggle to make my top 50 All Japan matches from the 90's. Kobashi does look very spunky in the clips we see but I didn't bite on many of his nearfalls and as a result there was a slight disconnect.

[1991-05-21-WWF-Primetime Wrestling] Hulk Hogan in the studio
They at least put up the most clever Commando clip. This encapsulates everything about this era of Primetime from Jameson to Hulk on a motorcycle to more zubaz from Vince and Bobby wearing sweaters in mid May. I liked that Hogan strayed on numerous topics but stayed focused throughout.

[1991-05-19-WCW-Superbrawl I] Ric Flair vs Tatsumi Fujinami
This match feels really ahead of its time because it is worked like a indy main event in 2004. It was marginally sucessful surrounding a ton of negative parameters and I want to commend mainly Flair on that as he felt like the driver on the train. Fujinami was not bad here but again like the Vader match earlier in the year seems more along for the ride than adding a ton to the match. I did like the escalation that was done with Flair getting cut. Fun match to watch back in retrospect. Superbrawl I overall may be the show with the most good matches on it that I would still call a tad disappointing overall for a variety of reasons.

2004 Recommendations
I know we are a long way off but one thing I thought about today that should be included on this set is the WM 20 WWE HOF induction and Hennans full speech. That would be a cool break from the action that would fit into a yearbook setting.

Matches of the month
Really feel like things pick up in April and ride that momentum until July or so before tampering off a bit and then having a great September/October stretch. Glad to see you giving a shout out to the Mauler/Jordan/Lawler stuff as angle of the month as I had a perpetual smile on my face watching that.

I liked this show a good deal and it is always refreshing to hear people pretty closely removed from the WWE bubble to still be interested and excited in the product.

[1991-05-19-WCW-Superbrawl I] Sting & Lex Luger vs Rick & Scott Steiner
This match perplexes me every time I watch. I am not a fan of execution over structure but for a spotfest all action type match, they could have had some crisper work here. The beginning is also so good that the action after the dive feels really disjointed and disappointing. Sting and Rick are fabulous. Lex is good. Scott is a another story and is a complete trainwreck dragging this match down. Finish was fine as a cop out way. Crowd was also more dead than I remembered.
