[1990-06-30-USWA-Championship Sports] Interview: Percy Pringle
Pringle is back as full fledged heel and gives a good promo but this program had lost a lot of steam after the real promising start in may.

[1990-06-30-NAWA] Ricky Steamboat vs Matt Borne / Ricky Steamboat vs Robert Fuller
We get the excedrin headache # 9 joke in this match. Brawling looked a little off to me but it may just be that I am so unaccustomed to see Steamer in that type of match. I loved everything Fuller did in his match and the post match and it felt like a pretty big moment for his career. I don't see how it was so obvious him and Borne were in collusion though.

[1990-06-30-USWA-Memphis TV] Interview: Dirty White Boy & Dirty White Girl
I always wanted Dirty White Girl to be a better promo because I love her look. DWB had a good promo and everyone has a problem with Dundee and Tessa.

Good promo but I don't know what program I would be more sick of at this point: Beefcake/Perfect or Dusty/Savage.

[1990-06-30-WWF-Superstars] Update: Get those letters in to the Hulkster kids!
I may or may not have written a letter to the Hulkster. I take great solace in the fact that Tugboat probably read it.

[1990-06-30-AJPW-One Night Special] Toshiaki Kawada vs Kenta Kobashi
Fascinating match to watch in retrospect. In as many ways as I was shocked by how bad the Misawa/Kobashi match earlier was even at that stage in their career, I was equally amazed by how good this was in certain sequences. I especially loved the beginning and the kick sequence on the outside and the beautiful dive by Kobashi. I also thought the ending run was really nice. The middle 18 minutes were filled with some uninspired work but also some neat stuff and at least you could really tell that both workers were trying really hard. Tough match to rank but enjoyed it quite a bit.

Most Underrated 00's
Fuck Averno is a perfect name. 00's really seem like a weird beast in that more stuff than usual will have to be revisited to see if it holds up especially in regards to the US indy stuff of the early decade.

[1990-06-29-NWA-Power Hour] Interview: Paul E. Dangerously
I always love when they recite the names of past champions because it gives a good sense of history and feels like a stepping stone to stardom. Good promo by Paul E.

[1990-06-26-NJPW] Riki Choshu & Kantaro Hoshino & Kuniaki Kobayashi & Kensuke Sasaki & Shiro Koshinaka vs Animal Hamaguchi & Super Strong Machine & Tarzan Goto & Hiro Saito & Masanobu Kurisu
How well known is this match? I had literally never heard of it to watching it here and it is fantastic and includes many of the elements I really love about pro wrestling. Taking someone I have never heard of (Kurisu) and making me look for more because of how awesome he was. Taking someone I usually hate (koshinaka) and making him likeable. Giving us another glimpse of Hoshino. Choshu and Animal doing there thing. Tarzan looking like a bastard. I could go on and on but part of the beauty of this match was watching the sequences develop.

Bruiser Brody
Think this is tough to articulate. If you ask how many of the current WWE viewers each week have heard of Brody and watched a match, I think the percentage is closer to that 10% but that is not including a lot of fans including you and me Parv or even someone like my dad that if he was asked in a random poll on the street if he likes pro wrestling he would say yes, even though he hasn't watched since the attitude era.

Where The Big Boys Play #27
Thanks for the comments shoe. I had the MX heat thing as a bullet point just forgot to mention it. It is real interesting to watch them work this way because both here and in 1990 the match so engaging by how smart they worked without a manager, but the crowd heat suffered. The Baltimore crowd did help this card a good deal I think being right there with the performers even on the main event when they thought Luger had won. I would have the Windham/Dusty match much higher if Dusty would have toned down the hulking up and the claw segment would have been edited down a couple of minutes.

[1990-06-23-WWA] Terry Funk vs Stan Hansen
What you would expect from these two. A wild out of control brawl that climaxes with Funk getting slammed into the river. Not a great match per say but certainly a memorable one.

[1990-06-23-USWA-Championship Sports] Steve Austin vs Khris Germany
I was disappointed to see Pringle go back to be even more straight laced a month after his big angle. Jeannie's promo had some great moments and also some moments where you could see her trying to remember what to say. The jobber match was good and may honestly be some of the best in ring Austin we have seen. Real good pull apart with all 4 competitors at the end.
