[1990-06-23-WWF-Superstars] Brother Love: Ultimate Warrior & Amanda Ultimate Warrior
Oh man what an awful segment that didn't help make Warrior look good in the eyes of kids, he just looked even weirder cheering on this girl with her cartwheels and his minimal facepaint.

[1990-06-23-WWF-Superstars] Update: "Come back Hulk!"
Thought this video was great and showed all sorts of cool clips mixed in with earthquakes destruction of Hulk. They at least made Earthquake look like a threat so far.

[1990-06-23-USWA-Memphis TV] Jerry Lawler, The Snowman and Leon Spinks
Loved all of this from Leon Stinks to Spinks' promo. I also loved Lawler saying the welfare line which immediately got a rise out of the crowd.

Where The Big Boys Play #26
Disagree with this. Perez's showing on these shows have me searching him out on youtube and what I have seen so far is pretty awesome. A great brawl with Abby in Puerto Rico where he takes a beating, hits a gusher, and comes firing back with awesome babyface fire that has the fans throwing shit at Abby. He also has a good early Bagwell match mixing in armbar sequences Bagwell didn't use in other matches, an amazing swinging neckbreaker firing off the ropes, and really good forearms and strikes. Thought he was also good in the two nominated DVDVR Texas matches as well as vs. Kevin in the stadium show. Probably watched around 10-12 matches of his the past couple of days and in those matches I would call him solid at worst.

Wrestlers you really dislike
Qualifying this a bit because I know there is a ton more of the guy I need to see, but people have been pimping Satanico as a WOTYC for 1990 and 6 months in, I am just not seeing it. I would not call him a bad worker at all but I would safely have Dandy, Atlantis, and Azteca ahead of him for the year just in Mexico. I look forward to hopefully my opinion changing.

Great call on Azteca Pete. He has been really awesome on 1990 and as great as Dandy has been, he has been right there with him.

[1990-06-22-EMLL] Espectrito & Piratita Morgan vs Mascarita Sagrada & Aguilita Solitaria
These minis are always a welcome addition to the yearbooks and this was no exception. It was refreshing to see Espectrito and Mascarita being amazing 4 years before their epic battle in 1994. Fun match all around.

[1990-06-21-UWF-Idea] Akira Maeda vs Nobuhiko Takada
Awesome match where everything felt like a struggle and it really built to one perfectly timed submission to being the equalizer.

Enjoyed the Luger stuff we have seen from him on the podcast a good deal watching his development. As we will discuss soon enough I think him in GAB 88 is his crowning achievement so far. What really pushed me over the top is his 1990 stuff though. Him and Flair have one classic match and his performance at Capital Combat was really gutsy. You hear about how selfish Luger was and we just aren't see that so far. I really look forward to 1989 which most would call his best year.

[1990-06-17-WWF-Wrestling Challenge] Interview: Jake Roberts
Good promo by Jake and as someone that is scared of snakes, I loved the faces Gene was making with Damien near his face.

[1990-06-17-AJW-Grand Prix] Manami Toyota vs Yumiko Hotta
May be in between Loss and Pete/Childs here. I thought this was a very good match that flirted with being great. I was also somewhat let down as the emotional joshi matches have been some of my favorite matches lately and reading about this one set the stage that I was prepared to make this in my top 5 for the year. I thought the opening was fantastic and also loved the Hotta control segment and struggle. I had more problems with the freshness that Toyota had on the comeback and the execution in a lot of the moves in the finishing stretch looked rough. Some stuff in this match really worked for me but there was also more noticeable flaws making it perplexing to rank overall.

[1990-06-16-USWA-Championship Sports] Jeff Jarrett vs Devastation Inc. Feud Recap
Another program from Dallas and not a bad one being fourth from the top. We get to see some of the lower card wrestlers filing out the cards at this time which is fun. I want to see more of Falcone. Akbar came off looking like an idiot and the match with the winner take all the money made no sense since Jarrett/Brown would be putting up the money they stole from Akbar.

[1990-06-16-USWA-Memphis TV] Bill Dundee and Dirty White Boy
Really interesting to see what stage both programs were. I agree that DWB grew a lot from what we see here to his promos in 1994.

Agree that this felt like one of the few PSA's that didn't seem totally ironic.
