First promo that has gotten me worried that I may be getting sick of these already.

[1990-04-24-WWF-San Antonio, TX] Shawn Michaels vs Ted DiBiase
Really wished the time allotted for this and Tito/Perfect would have been switched. Lord Alfred says he has never seen Shawn wrestle in singles which means he doesn't watch wrestling challenge. We also get Gorilla ragging on Joey Morella for his shoddy officiating. Match was good but I thought some of Dibiases offense and work on top was boring. Match actually ends in double dq instead of the double countout that is originally announced by the ring announcer.

[1990-04-23-WWF-Austin, TX] Mr Perfect vs Tito Santana
Damn, how quick was this tournament that one week after the announcement we are into the finals. Tito continues to be one of my favorite workers that I have a different opinion on than in my childhood. Great leg work and really cool to see the Perfect/Bobby combo come together. Did Perfect/Genius have any formal split or just drift apart like many other manager/wrestler combos did at the time.

[1990-04-22-NWA-Main Event] Midnight Express vs Rock & Roll Express
Will echo everyone elses thoughts as I figured this would be another good match from these teams where they just threw them out there to fill up a show, but wow this was a great snapshot of what is great about these teams and the spot everyone has talked about truly was one of my favorite moments on the set so far.

[1990-04-21-USWA-Championship Sports] Steve Austin vs Frogman LeBlanc / Interview: Steve Austin
Austin is starting to find his voice and introduces Jeanne. Frogman may be one of the worst jobbers we have seen and Austin certainly is not seasoned enough to carry someone at this point. Ronnie and Marc are a poor man version of Ross and Cornette. Adams comes down and takes a shot to the delight of Gossett. They definitely say that they know each other in the first segment.

[1990-04-21-USWA-Championship Sports] Kevin Von Erich vs Matt Borne / Matt Borne and Kerry Von Erich
Both being barefoot seemed strange and I agree that the way Borne was definitely leaning heel but not all the way was really well done. This was bad "kerry" and I can fathom what he could have said that would have been bleeped.

[1990-04-21-WWF-Superstars] Rick Rude vignette
Still enjoying this but it does seem odd we have not heard nothing of a rebuttal from the Warrior considering how much he babbled going against Hulk. I was impressed with how good Rude was punching on the speed bag.

[1990-04-21-WWF-Superstars] The Genius promo
Didn't Genius get a lot of his hair cut at the Royal Rumble. That hairdo has really flourished since then. This was not a very eloquent poem by Genius standards.

[1990-04-21-USWA-Memphis TV] Interview: Jerry Lawler
Lawler again is unable to finish his promo because of the damage is inflicted. It is kind of shame that so far in memphis jerry has been with some dead weight both in promos and matches because this angle would be great if you didn't know who else was involved besides Lawler.

[1990-04-21-USWA-Memphis TV] Jerry Lawler and The Thriller
Damn, a textbook example of how to sell a punch. Lawler staggering around the ring was mesmerizing and we have our first technical loss in the new rules in effect.

[1990-04-21-USWA-Memphis TV] Jerry Lawler and Nate
Long segment but really great stuff between Nate and Lawler. Nate is someone that you can really resonate with and Lawler is great as a joke bully who is in his mind only obliging to what was requested or expected of him. I wish the payoff would have been someone better than Nitron but that didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of this and I also thought the crowd was really good and heat was through the roof.

[1990-04-21-USWA-Memphis TV] Jerry Lawler and Eddie Marlin
Good segment and I would be interested if when Lawler walked off camera if he told his heel fans to pipe down to let the angle get over. I appreciated Marlin slapping on the New sticker on the desk. The technical loss thing is sort of confusing though and these rules are definitely not sustainable.

Crowd is going crazy cheering for lawler to his delight and I love homemade Memphis signs.

[1990-04-20-USWA Texas] Jerry Lawler vs Jeff Jarrett
Match was ok but seemed like one of the lesser USWA schtick matches so far. Ending beatdown is ok but features three really cool moments: 1. a rowdy fan wanting to get a piece of the action and having to be restrained by about 5 cops 2. Ronnie Gossett fatman splash and Lowerance subsequent call and 3. which I can't believe it has been mentioned but the babyface turn of Bill Joe Mfing Travis who breaks a guitar to the delight of the Texas fans. Pretty good match, really awesome moment with Travis turning.

[1990-04-19-AJPW-Championship Carnival] Jumbo Tsuruta vs Genichiro Tenryu
The final nail in the coffin for 1980's AJPW. 1989 was a really great year for the promotion but it is amazing how stale those characterstics have felt in the beginning of 1990 in the wake of 1989. Footloose seems tired. Jumbo/Tenryu brawling and battling each other barely raises and eyebrow for me and Hansen interacting with both seems tired and repetitive. This match is not that bad although the amount of offense that Tenryu got was shocking to me in its scarcity. Still Jumbo wins cleanly and the ushering in of a new era is right around the corner.

[1990-04-15-UWF-Fighting Area] Yoshiaki Fujiwara vs Kazuo Yamazaki
I really liked this a good deal from the dueling legwork to dramatic knockout with Fuji not being able to get up in time. Yamazaki also looked really genuinely enthusiastic to have won the match.
