[1990-04-15-UWF-Fighting Area] Akira Maeda vs Tatsuo Nakano
Pretty good underdog style match that was fine for the placement on the card. In going 8 minutes, Maeda gave Nakano enough offense and hope sections to rile up the crowd but never made it look like a 50/50 affair.

[1990-04-14-NWA-World Championship Wrestling] Rock & Roll Express vs Fabulous Freebirds (2/3 falls)
Good match but a little overly long and you could tell in the third fall, the birds were shot. I really loved the first fall with the straight left from Hayes and the double team moves. Not showing the whips was kind of an odd way to set up Capital Combat but I guess not seeing the violence may incline people to buy the PPV.

WON HoF Candidate Poll Thread
Easiest response I can make is that it is tough for someone in the main event of a national promotion throughout his career to have any "sabermetric" case. I can see that type of case being made for people like Rose (not many 10,000+ crowds but was able to fill the venues he wrestled in consistently) or Patera (In demand worker that worked near the top in multitude of territories).

[1990-04-14-NWA-World Championship Wrestling] Ric Flair and Lex Luger
This was better as Woman did what she did best at this time, be flirtatious and look awesome. Flair was able to cut a condensed promo until Luger came out to a great reaction. The beatdown was some classic horseman stuff and no one kicks someone when they are down better than Arn Anderson.

[1990-04-14-WWF-Superstars] Dusty Rhodes vs Bobby Salsa
Bobby Salsa is a name of a jobber where you know you are just not trying anymore. Cool beatdown by Sherri and Savage and I am shocked by how much I am loving their stuff in 1990 and really how important they still feel by overcoming the shortcomings of the gimmick. Dusty to his credit does look distraught and as soon as he started wailing at Sherri Iknew jesse would lose his shit.

[1990-04-14-WWF-Superstars] Rick Rude vignette
The weightlifting impressed me and I think having Rude give quick thoughts of past history and showing he can be a physical threat to the Warrior was smart booking.

[1990-04-14-WWF-Superstars] Brother Love: Rhythm & Blues
This looked really dated in 1990. Honky just personifies and 80's type gimmick in my mind so I couldn't get on board with the R&B tag team but I was surprised at the transformation of the Hammer considering we just saw him at the Rumble as his usual persona. I had never realized how quickly the dye job and gimmick came about.

[1990-04-13-NWA-Power Hour] Sting and Ole Anderson
Ole laughing and thinking he has hearing problems that Sting wont retire was humorous and I thought sting brought more fire here than in his last promo but it does seem like we are getting a lot of Sting for someone that would be on the shelf for 2 more months.

[1990-04-13-WWF/AJPW Summit] Hulk Hogan vs Stan Hansen
I honestly think this is one of the best matches we have seen so far in 1990 as was blown away by how good it was. To me it speaks volumes on Hansen as a GOAT contender and Hogan as a better worker than given credit for. This mixed in many elements we just weren't seeing at the time in WWF main events including drop over toe holds, slamming on tables, and double juice. This match also went the right length and I thought the finish was very appropriate and dramatic with Hogan missing the legdrop for a Hansen nearfall and Hogan putting Hansen away with a lariat of his own. Hogan had some bad business exposing boot exchanges but other than that this was great stuff and I can certainly see this as a rewatchable match.

[1990-04-13-WWF/AJPW Summit] Ultimate Warrior vs Ted DiBiase
Thought the match was dreadful and it was telling that two things happened: 1. Warrior was not matched up against a native and 2. This match was still sub 10 minutes and he ran out of things to do. Hogan's selling is also far superior when he decides to sell. This match was awful but I am glad to see it on the set as it was a clear indicator that people should have been worried already with Warrior on top.

[1990-04-13-WWF/AJPW Summit] Randy Savage vs Genichiro Tenryu
Agree that it is just amazing that this match took place and what they did together worked so well for the audience they were performing in front of. Sherri was exceptionally great riling up the crowd throughout the entire match. 1990 hasn't had as many all start 5 star match classics as in other years so far, but the high average of fun wrestling has definitely been abundant and this match epitomizes that.

Watching the crowd pop with the insult on the lady saying boo was a highlight for the set so far. I love these little segments so much.

I echo Childs thoughts, structure and time prevented it from being a classic with flow issues but damn did they throw bombs on each other which was a joy to watch.

[1990-04-01-WWF-Wrestlemania VI] Hulk Hogan vs Ultimate Warrior
I love the analogy of comic book splash pages brought to life as that is exactly what this is. Even though this match had more eye rolling moments than I had remembered , mainly Hogan shrugging off the leg and Monsoon calling this match like ass, I still really like this match and think it was a best possible case scenerio situation for the match and timeframe of the performers. And dammit even though I have seen this match a 100 times, I still got some chills in the closing sequence and ending celebration.
