Great match with Flair on defense for about 95% of the match and the crowd going wild. I think a lot of the story could have been done by the announcers saying that Flair was preoccupied with Sting/LUger and that is why he underestimated Morton who is a familiar foe. I love the fact that Flair has wrestled so many different style of matches so far this year. All the punches and exchanges and Flair begging off looked great here.

Takada vs. Vader 8/18/94 to me is the easy access point for shoot style matches. Would also include the 1994 Gary Albright & Kazuo Yamazaki vs. Vader & John Tenta tags. These match feature familiar faces and themes to the traditional US style mixed in with some advanced matwork and great strikes.

May be lower on this as anyone else as I thought it was fine but didn't really start cooking until the final five minutes and thought a lot of stuff early on looked either sloppy or just killing time stuff. Ending stretch was hot though with killer bumps from Cactus and intricate sequences. Cactus dropkick from apron looked ugly as hell. Still a good match and maybe Cactus best up to that point.

I agree that Martel was the one to be blamed for holding this match back. I am probably lower on Martel than most but I can see someone like Dylan ranking Martel above Tully and I just dont see that and would present these last two matches as evidence of Tully working above what he was given in a match and Martel working at best within the level. Solid match is about how far I will go in regards to this match and Lord Alfred and Gorilla were annoying on commentary to boot.

Did the Duke ever do anything else with the glorious mullet? I like the Champ as a nickname to and Tony has the Saba Simba tights. This is such a odd match up and Onita looks ridiculous with the face paint. Onita also keeps losing his straps. Terrible match but worth it for oddity purposes.

I really liked the third caida of this match with the tempers flared and the story building between Santanico and Estrada. First two caidas were fine but felt like showcases for the respective teams. I thought Atlantis looked really graceful in this match.
