[1994-09-11] Sabu vs Al Snow
Decent match but Sabu did hit most of his spots cleanly. The post match is crazy as hell and looks really unique in this setting.

[1994-09-10-WCW-Worldwide] Vader vs Brad Armstrong
Really fun showcase match for Vader with Armstrong getting just enough offense and taking some huge bumps. Nice little diamond in a rough that fits perfectly on a yearbook setting.

[1994-09-24-SMW-TV] Interview: The Gangstas
Low key promo for New Jack standards but effective in getting across his viewpoint and not backing down from Morton.

[1994-09-03-USWA-TV] Tommy Rich, Buddy Landell and the Moondogs
Love Rich's Hooters shirt. They gave some big shots to the Moondog here. I enjoyed this and the crap camera work sort of added to the chaos.

Good fed up heel promo and Landell's back was nasty.

[1994-09-03-AJPW-Summer Action Series II] Steve Williams vs Kenta Kobashi
I loved this match. Maybe too long but it worked here as the crowd was crazy especially the audio level when Kobashi hit the powerbomb. This was also their last big singles match that I can recall so I didn't mind them emptying the kitchen sink. I can't really detract from this match onto the ramifications of later matches. As a stand alone match I thought this worked really well. Only nitpick would be that Doc covered Kobashi a little too quickly after the first backdrop driver. The 41 minutes didn't drag to me much at all. Great match.

General thoughts about 1994
One thing I will say as I was not near as disappointed in August as both Exposer and Loss and I can attribute that to two matches. The Owen/Bret cage match, and Hokuto/Kong vs. Hotta/Kansai. The former is one of the biggest "line in the sand" matches in history I think, and the latter I stand by as maybe one of my favorite matches of all time and was a new discovery for me. Add to that the birth of ECW in the best moment from them to be featured and the best shoot style match I have ever seen and August was another great month in my book with only WCW faltering.

[1994-08-30-ECW-TV] Public Enemy and spray paint
Best Public Enemy segment yet as it was goofy but appropriate and shows how featured they were to do the honors of changing Eastern to Extreme.

[1994-08-30-ECW-TV] The Sandman vs Tommy Dreamer
Dreamer's back took a beating but I couldn't not get into this at all and the beating lasted forever. I can not get into the Sandman's character at all.

[1994-08-29-WWF-Summerslam] The Undertaker vs The Undertaker
Actually good filming job not making it totally ridiculous to see Lee's face and know who the real Taker is until he pins him. I still don't know what Ted's excuse is as he looked like an idiot clearly backing someone he knew was not the real Taker. Just an ill fated angle that they pulled the plug on mercifully after this.

[1994-08-29-WWF-Summerslam] Bret Hart vs Owen Hart (Cage)
A match where you either except the escape stipulation or don't and resent the match as a whole because of it. I thought for what they were presented with they did the best match possible. The escapes were at least dramatic and paced well and they did show glimpses of a real brawl within the match. Could they have had another all time classic match with a hate filled cage match? Possibly, but this was a still a strong effort that is just below the real elite stuff from the year for me.

[1994-08-29-WWF-Summerslam] Diesel vs Razor Ramon
I couldn't get into this match much. The lay out was defintely done well which usually doesn't bother me but I am just tired of Shawn as a manager by this point. He takes the same crazy bump we have seen him take three times before. Walter did ok in his role but for being one of the all time NFL leading rushers he probably shouldn't be getting outchased by Michaels for 15 minutes.
